^ I remember when that white retro Storm was impossible to find two summers ago... who could have predicted she would get re-released exactly as is though. I wonder which figure is the most valuable from that wave now since it is no longer Storm. Also I think the buy 2 get 1 free sale is further messing things up... scalpers can just buy every Rogue they see now... plus normal people will buy some extra figs too because of the sale... not too mention the people that are buying one to keep carded.

I kinda wanted to do the same... get a set of carded retro 90's X-men... but I don't think they will ever put Archangel on a retro card because of his wings... not even one of those big retro cards like Kingpin got. And if I can't get the whole team... then I don't see the point. Wait... unless they re-release Archangel with his folded wings... then they could do it.

No shot of this ever actually happening, but, would anyone else be down for an X-Force/ X-Statix boxset? I read the whole run for the first time over the weekend and loved it, and found myself really wanting figures.

Would 100% be down for that. Mister Sensitive, Venus Dee Milo, DeadGirl, U-Go-Girl, Vivasector, Anarchist, and OF COURSE Zeitgeist! I would buy them all!!! (Already have Doop from the Deadpool pack- but he probably needs to be included)

I don't know, sometimes a sweater is just a sweater

I'm figuring we'll probably see another figure or two from Bring on the Bad Guys, maybe the BaF for HoX/PoX, probably the deluxe MODOK, and some teasers for a future wave. Toy Fair should have been in February, so I'm expecting the big reveals then

^lol ...seriously.

No offense to the people that enjoy this sort of thing, but in this age of (anti?) social-media with an incessant focus on nearly unavoidable multilateral marketing campaigns, I can't help questioning what I personally gain from lionizing individuals/companies for leveraging my interests to scheme on my pockets.

I'm sure Dan Yun's a decent enough dude just doing his job and the toy industry is only one small facet of this type of marketing, but I'll be happy when a vaccine is released (and largely bought into by the non anti-vaxxing public) so that these weekly teases can be relegated to cons again...

How about a Spidey Civilians boxset for say Amazon or EE, it could include Aunt May, Betty Brant, Robbie Robertson, Liz Allen, Flash Thompson and Harry Osborn

I think they would make a really great boxset, maybe as a convention exclusive. I don’t think the main team would require too much tooling, besides Vivisector. Venus would look particularly cool, I’d love too see how they’d pull off her arms (probably something like Genis-Vell).

And that would make an even cooler boxset! There is almost completely literally speaking no Marvel Legends release I would be more excited about. Spider-Man is my all-time favorite Marvel, comic, and fictional character. A large part of what drew me to him in middle & high school was his life as Peter Parker, his “web” so to speak. I’d be overjoyed to have figures of those characters, the recent retro stuff sparked some serious nostalgia for me. Especially if they loaded the set up with accessories like the books & newspaper on Gwen Stacy.

I think we’re due for an Aunt May eventually (she could share some tooling with Peggy Carter), and I could see a Harry Osborn alt head as a pack-in with Chameleon or something (he’d probably look decent on the Stan Lee body, although that might be too similar to Peter). Also hoping we see a Ned Leeds head included with inevitable Hobgoblin rerelease. I can’t see the others happening, but at this point... nothing feels completely outside the realm of possibility.

EDIT: substantial casting news for “Hawkeye,” https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/haw...st-1234845371/
Looking forward to seeing the MCU versions of these characters! Also hoping it means we get a comics Swordsman eventually, although at this point I know well that an MCU appearance does not guarantee a comic figure.

I hope its the strike force blue and yellow outfit. That way they can release a green and yellow banshee with syrin in her green and yellow xforce outfit and call it the sound of family.

"sounds" good to me. Both Syrin and Feral are needed for OG X-Force (I know Syrin came in a few issues later than #1 but close enough), and with the waves starting to go back to 1 Female per wave, and with no Deadpool wave rumored for 2021, I worry how long it would take to actually get both of them.

Also, I'm happy to get either GSXM or Jim Lee Banshee. Literally no preference, either will be better than the "learning curve wave" Banshee we have.

LALO! He's my favorite Salamanca...

Interesting...he's a good pick for the Swordsman and I like him as an actor. However, unless they are going to write Clint more accurately and highlight that he's an A-hole, then my wait will continue for the 'real' Hawkeye to show up...cinematically speaking.

Appreciation:

TBM, fantastically eerie and dark shot. The Bullseye made me laugh though, although it would be something he would do if that were a real situation. (and if he were real, ha!)

Thanks Nash, but as I mentioned recently, all of these photos are old (I haven't taken a photo in 3-4 yrs) and I posted them before. I believe, in this very thread, or maybe, I only shared these over at Fwoosh...I forget...

But yeah, dark subject matter, for sure. I also laughed my ass off after posing Bullseye and thought, "yup, that's EXACTLY what that psychopath would do." Nothing Spidey can't handle tho'...

Hey a good photo still looks good on repeated views! And I don't have good memory recall for things, so it's no surprise I didn't realize you'd posted them before. One day...one day I'll have my damn figures out of my damn boxes to take some damn pictures lol

Before tomorrow, any final bets on the BAF for the villain wave? My best guesses are Armadillo or Orka.

If Banshee is coming please let it have a neutral expression head or multiple heads... not just a screaming head like the Joe Fix-it wave Thor guy.

I would pre-order that in a heartbeat! We need more civilian figures for the Retro Spider-Man wave. I know it'd never happen, but personally, I'd love it if very civilian figure would have at least three head sculpts: neutral, smiling and scared. After all, most of Peter's supporting cast are regular targets from villains like Doctor Octopus, the Scorpion, the Hobgoblin, Venom and Tombstone. Heck, Frederick Foswell and Jacob Conover worked at the Bugle and they turned out to be the Big Man and the Rose, respectively. As I've said before, I'd love a classic Hobgoblin to have multiple civilian heads like Flash, Ned Leeds, Jason Macendale and/or Roderick Kingsley, maybe as a Deluxe release.

I'd also love civilian figures of Spider-Man's rogues in normal clothes, suits and/or prison uniforms, like Otto Octavius, Quentin Beck, Norman Osborn, Eddie Brock and Cletus Kasady. Even Tinkerer would be fun and he could have an alien with a Quentin Beck alternate head.

Also, I'm going to keep off toy boards tonight and wait until tomorrow. I don't want to see any leaked Marvel Legends figures before their big Fan First Friday reveals. I genuinely feel bad for Dan, Dwight and Ryan that all of their big reveals get spoiled the night before they post their videos/reveals.

No idea. My want list for non X-Men related BAF is basically Atlas and Stegron now, and I doubt it's either one of them. Atlas certainly not, and I 'd think they'd save Stegron for a Spider-Man wave.

I question if Attuma would need to be a BAF or not. If he would, I will hope for him. Otherwise I probably won't care - this is probably a good thing money wise. oh! I could probably be talked into a High Evolutionary BAF too.

High Evolutionary would be sweet. It would leave me in the awkward spot of having to track down all the parts that don't come with Arcade or (ostensibly) Lady Deathstrike, though.
