Arcade not as much but Deathstrike definitely. The upgrade was sorely needed. The 2007 figure was hideous even by the then current Toy Biz standards.

Arcade was hinted at and Deathstike has been a semi perennial call out just like Quasar...

Only if we get Moloids as a Hasbro Pulse army-builder.

Can't wait to get some spare Wendells and slap those Quantum-bands on Surfer...add a red body sash and instant Protector soft mod.

I needed a moment to process. I can't lie I'm a little teary eyed and I'm glad no one is around to see me. I know it's just my inflated sense of self importance but I can't help feeling like I did it or my campaigning made Xemnu happen despite not actually doing anything. Though if a Hasbro employee did see my posts and threw me a bone thank you. Thank you so much. I've wanted Xemnu so long and I can't believe he's really getting made.

Huh, they changed the color of Dormammu's fire. When the mock-up was shown at Pulse-con back in September his fire was primarily yellow but it faded to red towards the ends so overall there was a good contrast between his face and the fire. Now the fire is just all red so his face blends in to it. I still really want Dormammu but at the moment I'm a little disappointed with the change.

I never expected Xemnu to be a single deluxe release, I was one of like a whole three people asking for him, but I'm bummed that he's the BAF for a wave that I'm mostly passing on.

It doesn't surprise me that they changed Red Skull's swastika to the Hydra symbol. Hasbro was not about to release a toy with Nazi imagery, even if we all already knew he's a bad guy. Since this is classic Red Skull I'd have rather seen the armband left blank but ever since the MCU Marvel has bumped Red Skull into the Hydra fold.

MODOK being a Mr Potato Head is fun though, I like when figures can store their own bonus pieces.

So I’m not the only one who noticed that! He still looks fantastic, but I do prefer the mock-up.

Also, I am going to reiterate: wow, Xemnu. I’ve been staring at the promo pictures of him all day. He’s fantastic.

I think it's pretty awesome that even after years of product they're able to leave collectors feeling this way. Glad you're getting your pipe dream figure! I know the feeling well from last summer with the Hellfire Club so I know it's a great feeling.

I could see Red Skull being popular...Nazi-wannabes seem to be all the rage currently. /s. (...sorry, couldn't resist myself)

Inappropriate and off-color jokes aside, I'm looking forward to the fig for my Hydra troops and have called for a Baron Strucker for years...and a Baron Blood, for that matter.

Me too, but I knew I'd be a while back. Glad to see you are hanging in, man. I hope all is well in light of the storm.

Well, if I recall correctly, Boogieman4hire made the suggestion. While it seemed like more of a joke at the time, maybe there was more to it than appearance would indicate. He is conspicuously absent...Hasbro inside-man???
While I make jokes in a lot of posts, wanting Xemnu was always genuine. When Sasquatch came out I immediately thought his tooling would be perfect for Xemnu. I'm no inside man because if I were Slapstick would be getting made too. But I need to go play some Hall & Oates because Hasbro, you make my dreams come true.

Quasar! Super excited about that one.

And in agreement with everyone about the Hood. What a mess. Open mouth, same as Thunderstrike, which just ruins the head sculpt. The colors for his street clothes are just too bright. They should have done something similar to Cloak where the cape felt like it had a life of its own.

I bet she'll have a figure next year. I can't see this year but I see it fairly plausible to have something with when figures for CM2 drops.

My two cents (which are two cents more than my opinions are worth):

- Man, they're really trying to make those 4" Legends figures a thing, aren't they? Sorry, but I'm not as excited for those Retro Kenner-type figures. I do hope they use those box art versions of Captain America, Hulk, Spider-Man, Human Torch and Miss Marvel for new 6-inch Marvel Legends in the future though.

- Xemnu looks great! I'm thrilled that those who want him will finally be able to get him. I don't know much about the character, but he looks cool.

- A.I. Tony Stark on the Iron Man 80th anniversary body gives me hope that they'll do a Captain America re-release with lighter suit colors for Cap's 80th anniversary. We'll see. Not crazy about the A.I. Stark head, though.

- Quasar was originally the highlight, until I heard the words Walgreens exclusive. I hate Walgreens. I never could find their stuff pre-Covid and it's why I'm grateful we may get blue-and-white Negative Zone figures of the Fantastic Four later for the Retro wave, since the Walgreens F.F. figures were virtually non-existent in my stores.

- Does anyone else think the chest sticker for Nova looks off? I don't get what's up with that. And yes, I also prefer the old fire colors used for the prototype of Dormammu.

- Civil Warrior? Seriously? Hard pass. The arc shield looks awful and the figure itself looks ugly. I would've preferred a Peggy Carter as Cap figure.

- Arcade's shoes still look unfinished. Other than that, I may pick him up eventually. I love Arcade and as a '90s kid who played "Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge", it's a thrill for me to see him get a Legends figure.

- Secret Wars Battleworld Doom? No. Just... no. Also, and no offense to Hasbro, but -- why? You waste a slot for a villain who could've had a long-overdue revamp or a first-time ever figure for a popular villain in favor of... a third Doctor Doom? At this rate, I'm expecting to see a third She-Hulk of some kind this year.

- Lady Deathstrike looks GLORIOUS. I'll do my best to get her. It looks like one of her red arm bands are missing on each sleeve though. I thought she had two?

- The Hood looks like random civilian character in a cape. Seriously, what is this? Who approved this? Fans waiting for the character are likely disappointed by this. And what is going on with the gun accessories? Those blast effects are... odd-looking, to say the least. If Hasbro's really going to reuse this same skinny civilian body over and over, could you at least slap a lab coat on it and give us Bruce Banner, please?

- Red Skull isn't bad, though I've lost my love for the character in recent years. Red Skull's grinning head looks stupid. His other head looks terrific, though. The accessories are great and seeing the Cosmic Cube made me smirk. I may pick him up, but I'm debating it.

- I always knew MODOK was Mr. Potato Head, now Hasbro's confirmed it. Seriously though, he looks great. He's not a new reveal, but it's still fun.

- Excalibur. Oh, sweet Moses, YES. Can't wait to see who they reveal. A new Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat is a must. But if we get Nightcrawler with that stupid goatee look, I'm passing on him.

- I assume April is when we'll see more reveals since they were talking about the upcoming M.C.U. and Disney+ stuff? I hope it isn't too long before they reveal at least a figure or two from Retro Fantastic Four, Classic X and Spider-Man wave two. We'll see.

I hope you all are having a great day and have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, everyone.

Yes, as I mentioned, I was joking about you being a Hasbro Manchurian candidate or plant on the thread. Were it true, that'd be an impressive long game given your tenure on the Ark. I was playfully celebrating your wish fulfillment and issuing a mild callout considering that you hadn't chimed in on thread at that point. When I mentioned you 'joking', I wasn't referring to your fandom of Xemnu, I knew that was real - what non-Xemnu fan claims such an obscure want - I was referring to a suggestion I seem to remember you making about it being the BAF.

I preordered Red Skull, Deathstrike, and Arcade at Pulse and also at Amazon just in case.
Will worry about Dormammu later.

BTW, why does the long haired Arcade head look like Eisenberg's Lex Luthor???

(also loved the "Who approved this?" comment about The Hood ).
