I'm having my doubts here ya'll. The sales numbers have only gone up about 500 over the last week. They're still 3500ish away. I mean, maybe some people are just holding out, but this is appearing to be so on the line and completely opposite of how the Sentinel did. I wonder if the Hasbro team is nervous.

If Galactus doesn't see a final days FOMO push I could easily see Hasbro repeating what they did with Unicron and extending the deadline by at least a month to roughly guarantee at least hitting the base goal.

Nova (Richard Rider) debuted in 1976 and Frankie didn't become a herald until 6 years later in '82. At the time Rich wasn't Nova and his series had already ended so I get that Marvel had an unused name available that they probably wanted to keep in use but it can make conversations confusing and/or annoying when the name Nova is used without context.
You know, I was literally *just* thinking this. Glad I’m not the only person who’s always been bugged by that.

I admit that selfishly I’d be really happy if they didn’t hit the backer numbers needed for Frankie, because I love this figure and have no intention of buying Galactus. If she isn’t included with Galactus, then we could maybe see her elsewhere (which I think they should’ve done anyway), and I’d be able to actually buy one without paying a premium.

Edit: I wish they’d go the route of the “Star Wars” HasLab figures, and give the incentive figures exclusive packaging/ deco/ accessories, versus making the characters/ figures entirely exclusive. Oh well.
If we make the stretch goals, I got your back.

With the Binary and Sutur reveals and now the Nova reveal, I have never wanted Hasbro to produce a Magma figure more! They have really pulled off the translucent fire effect well on all three of these figures. I trulybelieve they could finally do a Magma figure (full effect) some serious justice. And as one of the last couple major New Mutants team members left to do it is more than her time to shine!

I am very glad to have read that after AoA wave 2 we should be getting a general X-wave again. My top wants for a wave are: Magma, Banshee, Exodus, Toad, Spiral, Cypher, Longshot, Rictor, Storm (HoX), Psylocke (Outback)

I doubt it'd happen but I'd love to see 3 X-Men/Deadpool waves next year

Wave 1: General wave of multiple eras: Wolverine (New X-Men Outfit), Gambit (X-Men Training Outfit), Storm (HOX), Banshee (GSXM), Psylocke (Armored late 80s look), Destiny, Avalanche, BAF: Blob

Wave 2: Retro wave: Wolverine (X-Men Training Outfit), Jean Grey (X-Factor), Longshot, Exodus, Domino, Cannonball (the last two have been teased/leaked/revealed but where.....)

Wave 3: Deadpool/X-Force: Dead Man Wade, Rictor, Syrin, Feral, Spiral, Ahab, Stryfe BAF: Mojo

Hasbro could be printing money with these ideas here.. Of course, this assumes Shadowcat's already taken care of in an Excalibur set; and also they should do 2 pack releases of AOA Nemesis/Abyss and Storm/Quicksilver, to tide us over until we hopefully get a third and final AOA wave in 2023.

Found the Ursa Major wave today at Walmart. Everyone was there and accounted for except Ultron. Got a feeling that he's going to be the trickier one to find. Went ahead and snatched-up all of these stragglers.

Wow, hopefully they lay out some more stretch goals. I think we will be doing good to hit 14,000 at this rate. I’m still interested to see what they were talking about with “army building” potential. You would think anything they had up their sleeve on that would have been the first reveal.

Anyone have any good news on when these Sentinels will start shipping?

I've always been confused by that. Like my introduction to her was actually through the Silver Surfer cartoon and when they called her Nova, I was like, "Wait, I thought Nova was a guy in the New Warriors?"

Anyway, that's disappointing to see that 16,000 is going to be needed to unlock her. I really feel like Hasbro corporate was so impressed with the Sentinel breaking records last year that they purposely more than doubled the requirements for Galactus and now it is biting them in the ass. I could understand requiring 10,000 units before the tiers, but 14,000 is a mighty stretch. Hopefully the slowness of this to get up to what it needs to happen will help them reconsider their greed next time.

I haven't actually backed Galactus yet just because I'm trying to clear my credit card off before I do. I mean sure, it doesn't really matter since I'm going to do it regardless, I'd just like to have a low balance on my card ahead of time.

I still not sure if to back up Galactus. He will defo take over the whole room, and I still not sure if that’s too much or if it, I’ll be brilliant. I’ve measured where to put him, and it’ll be, bang! Here I am. What’s everyone doing? Centrepiece? Too big?

I Got the whole Ursa Major wave at Walmart yesterday, I thought I could find all these figures at Gamestop, I didn't expect to find them at Walmart.

Damn, I am still waiting for Dorkside to get in my Ultron and I placed my order back on day one in April. I guess back at the beginning of July they only got enough for those extra-early birds.

Saw MCU Odin at Target... looks a lot better in person than in the promo pics IMO. I kinda wanted to get him, but I don't want to fall in the MCU rabbit hole after holding out this long.

It's the old one from a few years ago, but it got re-released. The Falcon and Winter Soldier 2 pack was re-released only at Best Buy and the TRU exclusive Scarlet Witch and Vision 2 pack was re-released only at Gamestop. The Scarlet Witch/Vision 2 pack eventually sold out at Gamestop, but the Falcon/Winter Soldier 2 pack is shelf warming bad at Best Buy and they refuse to put it on clearance... except I think it finally dropped down to $32 recently... I am waiting until it hits 25ish.

I found that wave at my local Target as well, including Ultron. The only one missing was the Hologram Iron Man. I know! Strange right? I guess some kid got there before me and go "look mom, this looks cool!"

Sentinel besides being a troop builder, it also came out near the end of the Pandemic (first wave), when people who still had a job was able to accumulate wealth with no where to spend them. So they bought toys the size of a small child. Now with people going on vacations again over the summer, and the transmission rate going up again, things won't be the same for Galactus.

So is that Falcon and Winter Soldier just a straight repack? Or does it have better/different paint app than previous release?

I’m so glad I’m not the only person burning for a Magma figure! Honestly, I’d love it if they took another pass at the New Mutants, doing the more classic team uniforms for them. The Walgreens figures were cool and all, but they don’t quite scratch my Chris Claremont itch. What a boxset or wave they’d make!

Speak of Claremont, I am also elated at the prospect of returning to non-themed X-waves, and man do I hope we can get some more 70s-80s era X-Men/ villains/ supporting cast next year. My top wants would be Banshee, Siryn, Magma, Longshot, Cypher, Psylocke (the stupid puffy sleeves look), & eighties Rogue. Besides that, I feel like Spiral might be better suited to a deluxe release, the remains of Mystique’s Brotherhood would be a fantastic boxset, and I’m taking Binary as a sign that the Starjammers are planned, probably also as a boxset.

The Shang-Chi wave was marked down to $4.97 at the Walmart by me. They only had Shang-Chi, Wenwu, and Iron Man.
It seems pretty dumb to clearance all these figures right before the movie comes out. The corporate toy departments at Target and Wal-Mart have no idea what they are doing. Cheap fodder figures for me though.

Dorkside didn’t ship my spare Ultron yet so I ended up ordering him from Target. He and the last piece for Ursa Major should be coming in soon. In the meantime, transformation.

If i can find Iron man for $4, I'd totally buy him, but I think that ship has saled in my area as everyone has gotten rid of all of their Shang-Chi figures entirely.

I had picked up the Target exclusive Katy figure for $6. Got one for myself to use as a damsel in distress (or Wolverine's girlfriend) and one for a Toys for Tots donation this Xmas.

I did. I bought one of each that they had. I actually prefer the brighter colored Iron Man over the 80th version. Plus the new one has the bonus of having the biceps on the correct sides.
