Well given many of hasbros lines suffer this problem its more than likely the mismatfhes are what will see a release. Just look at damn near every frickin power ranger.

Decided to pull the trigger Excalibur set, Shocker, and Hammerhead. In doing so, I noticed Gamestop's estimated deliveries are WAAAAAY earlier than either BBTS or Pulse. Anyone have an idea why that is? I've never PO through them, outside of the occasional Switch game.

Though I was in the office I made sure to log in right at the time that non-premium members could purchase, the 1/1/22 date was surprising and hopefully it ships sooner than that. I went ahead and ordered since that's a lot closer than it seems.

I’m surprised we haven’t gotten a Marvel Legends Vertigo yet since she could be almost a full repaint.

I got the new "Retro Spider-Man" Hobgoblin, Shocker, Ben Reilly Spider-Man and two Symbiote Spider-Man figures pre-ordered from Entertainment Earth earlier this afternoon. I'll get Hammerhead eventually since the figure looks remarkable. I'm curious to see what October has in store for the next Marvel Legends reveals.

Avengers comic wave....unless the retro reveals were the wave? I hope there's a separate non-retro comic wave for sure. Spider-Man will have something, but I wouldn't be surprised if not that much, since there were whole waves teased/dropped the last two bigger presentations. Maybe the Rhino (or whatever the deluxe retro figure will be...most likely Rhino though). Anything from the D+ Hawkeye show that's already been shown in the trailer. Obviously to prevent spoilers, nothing that hasn't been shown in the trailer yet. |

Surely X-Men 2022 wave 1 ; something for Thor: Love & Thunder and Dr. Strange 2 must be pretty close, though I have a feeling they're keeping those figures closer to the movie release dates due to the flux the film industry is in.

I don't know about the 'Thor: Love and Thunder' and 'Doctor Strange' sequel waves, though, considering we don't have any stills or trailers for either yet. 'Hawkeye' is possible, but we don't know for sure when the next Disney+ waves will get revealed. And after how long it took to reveal the 'No Way Home' wave figures, I'm not holding my breath. I'd actually expect to see Marvel Legends 20th anniversary reveals before we see anything from the movies at this point. ... And don't call me Shirley. ![]() |

I preordered the Excalibur set after all. I figured that January is ample time to have funds ready. I also got Shocker, Hobgoblin, and the incredibly magnificent Hammerhead on preorder at Hasbro Pulse. Don't get me wrong, Shocker is also super impressive and Hobgoblin is nice but that Hammerhead is exactly what I've wanted. Aside from not coming with a tommy gun, this dude is perfect. The three Spidermen are great too but for now I just preordered black suit Spider-Man since he seems like he'll be a pain on the aftermarket. Also believe it or not, I've yet to own a symbiote Spider-Man and this one looks the most like he did on the Secret Wars cover.

It looks like everyone walked away happy from yesterday. Glad to see that. Regarding next year, I think another Disney+ wave will be a given. With Hawkeye coming out soon, and Moon Knight, Ms Marvel and She Hulk in the works, we could potentially see 2 waves. Time will tell.
If the X-Men wave happens on a classic card, I would be ok with Bonebreaker or Mojo as the "character without legs". I've made my other demands known as for as X character. Honestly, I'll take just about anyone they want to make. I am beginning to think about scaling back even more than I already have. My main focuses are X-Men, Spider-Man and street level characters, and cosmic characters. I'm at the point where I have damn near every Avenger I want, with the exception of some holes to fill, mostly in the Thunderbolts lineup. However, more villains are always welcome to my shelf. Another wave of baddies would rock! |

Another wave of baddies would rock! I can count the number of Spider-Man related things I want on one hand, so I tend to get bored with those sections of the reveal videos - though I am still happy for those who do want more Spidey related figures. I'm mostly set on Avengers heroes as well, maybe 5 or less figures there as well. But like you, there's a dire need for non A-list villains. I'm more prone to leaving myself open for getting X-Men related waves, since that's always been the brightest corner of Marvel for me. But even though, I can see me getting to the point soon where I don't buy whole waves. As far as traditionally sized build a figures go, outside of X-men there's only two I really want, Atlas and Stegron, since I got the Lockjaw from last year; though I can certainly understand people who didn't get him wanting a BAF Lockjaw for sure. And honestly even with X-men, there's not a lot of BAF I'm looking at wanting in that corner, maybe half a dozen. All said, I'm not intending to leave the hobby but I can see it becoming less of a focus for me as more of my wants are crossed off the line. And unlike pre-2020, those wants are not getting replaced by other wants, the list is simply getting smaller. |

I'm still waiting for them to announce a classic Strange so I can finally justify buying Dormammu.

I completely understand where you're coming from about scaling back. I started doing that some last year and this year even more - though there hasn't been as much product I've wanted release, and with the shipping and movie release schedule being affected, that has "helped" me cut back.

Absolutely! He is needed!
It's good to see we're on the same page for a lot of what you said. Sometimes, I feel like I'm alone in my viewpoints haha. BAF's are totally a problem for me. Armadillo, for example looks AWESOME and I want to get him, but I'm not really sure why. He's fought Cap and Spider-Man, I suppose, so I can put him on a Spider-Man shelf, but how important is he? I did the same with Hyde. I managed to get him, but was he someone I REALLY needed? I wonder about this sometimes. Also, I hope I'm not bugging anyone by posting more than I have been. I am opposite...I want all the new "Comic based figures" that come out. It's an addiction.
On another note..and NOT toy related....but the children's book that I wrote was accepted by the publisher and went to print yesterday!! I'm very excited |

Congratulations!! That’s terrific news.
Disappointed the SHIELD set sold out before I could get my hands on one. Hope they make more later, but if not, so it goes. I’ve gotten very relaxed about acquiring figures, I think the much smaller amount of figures I purchased the past two years has dulled my overall interest in the line. |

![]() Edit - was just seeing, and I don't know how much this slips to rumors, leaks, aforehand knowledge or just speculation, but the full X-Men wave will supposedly - and I stress that last word - be: Darwin Siryn Havok Maggot Vulcan Wolverine Sabretooth If that is the case, I can see me waffling on just sticking with getting Siryn, Havok and Vulcan or just saying to heck with it and being all in for the BAF. Sorry, was never a Maggot fan, and I don't really feel like there's another Sabretooth I have to have. It may actually come down to the BAF and Wolverine's outfit. @Starlord67 - Congratulations on your book getting published! Let us know when it comes out!
@Captain Nash - If that X-Men line-up is true, I'll probably get Siryn for sure. I'll wait and see what the costumes for Wolverine, Sabretooth and Havok are, though. I'm not as familiar with Vulcan and Darwin and I never liked Maggot that much. I'm curious to see if we're finally going to get the classic orange costume for Sabretooth. We'll see. |

But agree on Maggot, I know he has his fans but I didn't care for him 24 years ago...despite liking Marrow and Cecelia Reyes, who joined the team at the same time as he did. Apparently most readers didn't either, he left only a few issues in, of course that run was cut short anyways. |

After seeing today's Spider-Man comic reveals from Marvel about "Spider-Man Beyond" and the "Ben Reilly: Spider-Man" series by the legendary Spidey writer J.M. DeMatteis, I noticed that Doctor Octopus will apparently be switching back to his white Armani suit look from the '90s for "Beyond". Since the classic Ben Reilly Spidey suit is in the new DeMatteis series and that's getting a new figure, I'm curious if Armani suit Doc Ock could be the next Marvel Legends figure for the character.

@Starlord 67, congrats on your book! I like the title. I've got lots of nieces and nephews and every holiday we give one book and one toy so let us know when it is available so we can check it out.
I totally got to pre order an Excalibur pack and am stoked to be finally getting a blue costume Shadowcat. As for the full rumored X-wave, Syrin is my most desired of the group and an instant buy for me. Darwin is cool and would look good with my recently finished Layla Miller custom but I don't know if he is worth it to me to get him at full price. Havok, Wolverine, and Sabertooth don't interest me at all unless I really really want the BAF, which I think would have to be Blob at this point for me. Maggot has never been a favorite of mine, but maybe if he is really well done and on sale. I would definitely have preferred a Marrow instead. Vulcan makes a lot of since to me in a wave that also has Darwin, but I do not care for a Vulcan at all. If the BAF is amazing then Vulcan would be my first truly unwanted purchase. |

Supposing that X-wave is correct, I'd get Siryn (provided they use one of her standard green and yellow costumes) but probably no one else.
On a side note: could anyone who has the Infinity Saga Happy and the Shadow King head check if they're compatible for me? I don't expect it to look totally perfect but I'd like to see if it works at all.

On The Fwoosh's Marvel message boards, there are two Top 10 wishlist threads already up for Avengers and Spider-Man if anyone wants to leave their lists there. The threads for Top 10 wishlists for the M.C.U., X-Men and others will be up at a later date. For now, The Avengers thread ends October 1st and the Spider-Man wishlist thread ends October 9th. Just thought you guys would like to know.
I hope you all are having a great night and stay safe, everyone. |
