Target Circle is doing $10 off $50 of toys and $25 off $100 of toys this week. I got the whole Eternals wave with $35 off across two orders.

Too bad they don't have anything worth buying.

![]() ![]() My AoA Magneto and Iceman were delivered from Amazon. I ordered Rogue at the same time as these two but for whatever reason her current delivery estimate isn't until the end of the month, although I am reasonably confident it won't actually take that long. Magneto is a nice solid figure, the only new parts are his heads and the cape/shoulder-pads piece since everything else is borrowed from a couple of the previous releases. I've just always really liked his AoA design for being similar to his default look but having those key distinctions so I already knew I'd like this toy. In hand I am really impressed by how much better the non-helmeted head looks than it did when revealed and it does capture his appearance from the source material, but there's a part of me that just thinks Magneto isn't Magneto without the helmet so that's how he's going on the shelf. I'm not really getting a strong magnetic power vibe from giving him the flame energy pieces in purple though so that's a semi-weird inclusion but on the other hand they look good on Dr Doom so they're just free extra bits as far as Magneto is concerned. Iceman was probably my least looked-forward-to figure in this wave but that really speaks more to how much I want the wave overall. Right out of the box Iceman is a much nicer plastic quality than the gummy Juggernaut wave figure (I skipped the retro version so I don't know how that one felt) and he just looks nice. I do think the translucent blue should have been lighter in color like the original digital render but with the white frosted paint effects applied here and there the point is still made that he's supposed to be a frozen-water person. They seem to have taken a lot of influence for the figure from his appearance as the Sinister Iceman in Uncanny X-Force, the head is ripped straight from those comics, but that works pretty well for me since he didn't really do much in the original series and wasn't given a whole lot of character until they revisited him in UXF. I think then the inclusion of the cleverly redone Carnage hands works well with that Sinister Iceman motif but I don't exactly remember if he ever did that in the original or not. One note I have that isn't about the figure is the write-up on the back of the box. I know they aren't writing those for all the "die-hard fans," we don't need any help on knowing who these characters are, but referring to AoA as a "dystopian future" is blatantly wrong since the entire story is just an alternate present. The past was altered for a different "today," not some horrible off-set incident that ruins "tomorrow." Nitpicky, I know, but I wanted to say it.

I'm not sure, I want to say "maybe" but then probably only in a multipack. Not every BAF gets put back out there and then with the recent Infinity Saga Endgame Thor I'm not sure how much demand Hasbro is going to see for Thorbowski. If it were my call I'd throw him in a pack with Korg in his tacky pineapple clothes with his gaming gear and Miek with some pizza. Hell, put in the couch and maybe the TV if it can be done. I know Thor was shirtless when they were hanging out together but I think the hoodie look of the BAF would still fit the scene.

One other option that I thought of was the Ghostbusters Plasma Series Louis Tully. He was an exclusive which will probably be hard to get now. But he's a plain clothes guy that is shorter than most other figures. There's also the Mattel version.
But before you buy anything, wait until Pulse Con. It's only two weeks away and you never know what they'll reveal. Spiderman: NWH comes out in December so maybe we'll see some new figures from the movie. Hasbro made MJ when FFH came out. Why not update her and include Peter for a NWH 2 pack? Ghostbusters: Afterlife comes out in November and several of the cast members are kids. They just released the kids in their GB jumpsuits. If they wanted to keep the line going, they might release figures of the kids in regular clothes. Probably supply chain issues. Most stores I've seen the D+ Wave 2 at have only put out one case and haven't restocked yet. But you're right, they might reveal something. But at the same time I'm itching to do a custom. We'll see. Thank you.

BAFs of normal-sized characters always feel passively insulting, especially when you have figures in the wave that are bigger than the BAF. Now for the characters mentioned, and M'Baku while we're at it, the upcoming sequels and the accompanying product pushes could deliver. We'll just have to exercise patience until then.

Now that we have retro 80s Herc, Hasbro needs to throw this version in a future classic Avengers wave.

BBTS has been getting fast with their shipping recently, Sandman arrived today:
![]() It's great to finally have a normal sized Sandman with regular arms, however, there is one tiny little flaw with the figure. They painted his arms flesh colored over green plastic and the sand bits you can put over them scratch at the paint. That's not cool at all. Has anyone else had that issue? Beyond that, I love him. I especially love that his ab crunch is stable compared to Hydro Man's, who just tilts downward all of the time.

Yeah, the eyes on mine are kind of the same. It slightly looks like his eyes are /\, is your's the same?
I also do wish they had swaped the facial expressions. I think it would have been cooler to have the angry face be the one with the hole through his head while the calmer look was his regular one.

Got my Armadillo torso and right arm today. They also came with a nifty vampire and a goth chick included so bonus! Shriek is pretty cool given those new parts but Morlun was a surprise hit with me. He's just a really awesome vampire. By any chance, is there any MCU collectors here or someone just not interested in building Armadillo because I'd like those remaining pieces if you have them.

Agreed on the expression swaps; a few others on the thread mentioned the same during the reveal. Maybe they'll throw a couple of new heads into a deluxe redraft of the same fig with corrected forearms and a couple of new sand weapon attachments for $30-$50 three months from now, if we're lucky. /s |

^ They also had Zombie Cap today and Tigra and Captain Peggy a couple days ago... stuff only sits on the shelf for like a day here. I think Best Buy doesn't get whole cases at retail anymore... just a few here and there.
Also thanks for getting that Warpath... Hasbro will probably finally release an updated version now... they were waiting for you to buy the old one first I think. |

Idk how other people are getting What If at Best Buy. Where I live, I went there and found a Zombie Cap and they told me it was street dated for December 31st.

![]() Magneto was shipped in his own package by Amazon. The other three were shipped by UPS. No idea when the remaining trio are going to be shipped out. Also, RIP Goldner.
