Come to think of it. Wasn't the only MCU spidey with painted lines the Civil War one?

The Homecoming one had painted lines as did its reuses in the two-packs with Iron Man and MJ. Admittedly said lines were a bit faint but that's basically how it looked in the movie.

Not sure how they are over scaled though. Every pictures I've seen of people posting them look right to me. Plus, let's be real, no toy has ever been truly in scale properly.

Yeah, I don’t know what this fantasy about malfunctioning lights is, but the knees are about a 30-second fix if they loosen up, and this was always slated for fall of 2021. They started shipping them in late September, which was the first more specific timing promise they made. They have over 20,000 of these to ship during a pandemic, and people are getting them every day. I received one, and am waiting on five more. So be it. I don’t know if you’ve ever worked in a warehouse, but organizing 20,000 shipping tags, getting them all applied to the right packages, and then getting them shipped out the door takes time. Literally just applying 20,000 tags to boxes could take an average warehouse staff weeks, and these things are huge. I doubt they can fit more than 50 or so in the back of a FedEx truck. FedEx sure isn’t taking them all at once. It’s really cool you like your bootleg sentinels, but none of us care.

I love that instead offering some small sense of humanity to other collectors who might be frustrated by this situation, you instead opted for subjective cheap shots and the reiteration of the "superiority" of your personal choice. Lol This is so perfectly petty and absolutely in keeping with certain modern American sensibilities. Pretty classy Freddy Blassie.

Speaking of Sentinels…
I finally got a use for the Celina Dion as Phoenix head. Also. My Binary is arriving today. Will post pics later. Legion, Sandman, Tigra and Hera on their way. Yay! PS: I always love the sense of community in Japan where you don’t do certain things in order of protect those around you. I am triple vaccinated and still use masks and gel to protect my clients at risk. If I can be vaccinated 5 times to go to an exotic location, I certainly will be vaccinated to protect the elderly and vulnerable around me. |

His comment isn't the worst thing I've seen this week. I had a guy ask me why I got the vaccine and I told him because I'm a teacher I'm always around other people and because people feel safer knowing I am vaccinated. His response: "That's a stupid reason to get vaccinate. You should only be worrying about yourself."
But, yeah, by way of comparisons, your guy is a much better example of the current spate of American non-exceptionalism. Good thing Polio struck when it did, because our current bumper crop of selfish Americans wouldn't have met muster. Quote:

Does anyone know some white, non heeled legs that would fit on the Emma Frost body? I know it isn't accurate, but I want her to have flat feet to be able to stand easier. I tried just swapping feet which went badly, and Deadly Origins Black Widow's legs didn't work
Any help would be appreciated. |

I got out last night and hit up two walmarts and two targets in upper Nashville area and surrounding area - interesting distribution. One Target had the Eternals wave so stocked the figures were almost falling off the pegs. Another Target had nothing but Thena (which I did pick up) and a few other older Legends. Both Walmarts had maybe a handful of older legends each.
Now I know there's always been the thing of stores having different stock, it's why we hit up more places than once. but it's just weird seeing that type of distribution from two stores of the same chain less than 15 minutes from each other. Of course, Walmart being an almost barren wasteland doesn't surprise me at all. |

I didn’t love Binary when I was a teen. Too Phoenix like, and way too powerful. But after what they did to Ms Marvel in Avengers Annual #10 and Avengers #200, I felt she deserved better.
Is a good figure and it certainly tickles that nostalgia of my favourite X-Men period. Can’t wait to display her with the Brood Queen and drones. |

No new preorders lately, just delay after delay from Pulse. I'm thinking next week will be brutal with Pulse-Con information. Aside from the Pulse-Con items, I'm sure there will be a ton of preorders like last year. |

That's awesome that she's out! Great photos too! I still haven't seen Quasar here in the states. I want Binary because I think she'll look good with the rest of the Starjammers, if Hasbro ever does them. I feel like they're coming soon.

Aside from the Pulse-Con items, I'm sure there will be a ton of preorders like last year. I know my situation is unique. I'm not planning on preordering anything at this point at least until I know where I'm going to be next year. But even with that, I would be more apathetic to preordering in general, with not knowing...is it going to be 1 month or 6 months - will retail get this before where I preorder from and should I just take my chances - all that kind of stuff we've had in the past, but amped up several degrees like the last couple of months and likely into the first part of this next year. Hopefully things will be more on track come 2nd or 3rd quarter 2022, but there's not a guarantee of that. Until it is more in line with expected dates, or within what used to be normal delays, it may pay to be cautious. |

I did hot water as well. Like boiling water for a few seconds then pulled them off. I think Dagger is a good option.

I also recommend Dagger, and you definitely want the parts you need separated to have been sitting in boiling water for a few seconds, at least.

I posted this over on the Customs board, but thought I’d share here too. The TN humidity had let up enough lately that I was able to do some proper painting and complete a project I’ve been itching to do. I have enjoyed many of the stories that feature Maestro, so I was excited for this summer’s Legends offering. Hasbro's stellar head sculpt mostly made up for the otherwise uninspired rehash of parts, but I still wanted a Maestro with boots.
Taking inspiration from the Bowen statue from many years ago, the Juggernaut BAF parts were the best thing I could think of for what I had in mind. I disassembled the Juggy legs via boil-and-pop, then they and pelvis were primed, painted with spray enamel, and finally followed with a matte poly finish. The boots were brushed with an acrylic enamel. The sash came from eBay seller gpslot, where it’s listed as a 1/12 wired scarf. In order to maintain proper height, there's a slight gap between the lower torso and pelvis, which the sash conveniently hides. It’s not an exact representation of any one comic panel or cover, but it’s closer to what I wanted in a Maestro for my collection. Now I need to either find or fashion him a necklace that doesn’t look like it was made of oatmeal cookies. Last edited by tierneygreen; 08-15-2022 at 07:28 PM.. |

Alternatively, you could swap just the lower legs. It's pretty easy to pop the pins out at the knees after you heat them up a bit. Emma's white is a little bit glossy and Dagger's white is a bit more matte, but they are a pretty close match. I don't have the feet, but I have some Dagger lower legs in my parts bin if you want them.
