I dunno, shouldn't it be more exciting to see Toad instead of the 50th Cap or Iron Man we've gotten?

I understand it's the 20th anniversary stuff, just thinking in terms of characters that haven't had a figure in a long while. And I don't even care about Toad and probably won't get him.

60's. The helmet is based on one of the variants for Series 1 Iron Man.

I thought the 80th anniversary version was the 60s?

Never been a fan of him as he always looked like a Spawn wannabe to me.

Anyway, I hate to say it, but this was a total bust of 2 hours for me. There wasn't a single reveal that I must have. In fact, the only thing I'm definitely buying is Cap and he was already revealed.

Not even a Spider-Man figure.

Yeah agree I got excited for a moment at the villain reveal....BUT....

Vulcan for me, and Knull if he's not a BAF. Nothing else even interested me.

Well that panel was an abortion. And not even a HINT at Raimi Spidey figures? The 20th anniversary is next year! I can only hope they're saving it til after Tobey and Andrew are revealed to be in the new Spidey movie....

No Spidey stuff period.

Anyway, I preordered Cap and IM from Pulse even though I'm still not sure I care about IM.

You know all those comments we make about figures that "need" to be made and we're sure they'll show up in a "year or two" - starting 5-6 years ago? I'm no longer sure that's actually the case.

I know Hasbro is not in control of fallouts from the shipping fiascos and pandemic fallouts, they're having to work on a no doubt altered schedule, but I'm really feeling more and more like the line is on its to being...not done but...more like Star Wars has been the last decade. A new figure every once in a while but mostly repaints/retools and re-releases.

I admit it, I was as disappointed as everyone here in the reveals. That said, Dan Yun DID tell us on Twitter to lower our expectations. We still have November and December for reveals and we did have all of these interviews to fill in the time. Granted, everyone on the chat that I saw while watching the video didn't want interviews and only wanted to see the toys, but everyone has to remember that Covid is still putting a wrench in everyone's plans and movies and TV series are again being pushed back. I'm sure that upcoming waves like the rumored Doctor Strange and Thor movie Marvel Legends waves will be pushed back too after their released dates were pushed back.

Am I disappointed we didn't get any Spider-Man reveals or teases? Yes. Am I disappointed that the awesome X-Men figures are apparently Pulse and Shop Disney exclusives (or did I hear that wrong)? Of course. Did I want to see most of the characters I wanted to finally see made or re-made revealed? Of course, and who didn't want to see some of their wish-list characters revealed like Rhino or Morph? Am I disappointed classic Baron Zemo is a Walgreens exclusive? Yes, I am.

But I lowered my expectations and I'm surprisingly less disappointed than I thought I'd be. The 20th anniversary Cap and Hulk figures are must-buys, especially since I've been waiting for a sold-separately Hulk for years that's not a Build-A-Figure. The X-Men animated figures will be great too, especially the VHS packaging. And I finally get to buy a Scarlet Witch that doesn't have metallic paint. I'll likely get the 20th ML figure for Iron Man, but I'm debating due to the Stark head.

Most of my wish-list wants still remain, though, such as Jim Lee versions of Cyclops, Jean, Beast with a smiling head, Colossus and Magneto, classic red costume Daredevil, Doctor Octopus in his green-and-orange costume or Armani suit with bendable wire tentacles, classic Romita Sr./Amazing Friends era suit Spider-Man, first appearance Mary Jane Watson, classic Aunt May Parker, comic suit U.S. Agent, purple-and-blue suit Hawkeye with a shrunken Ant-Man on one arrow, orange-and-black costume Leader, Ringmaster, classic Luke Cage, classic Carol Danvers Ms. Marvel, etc., etc. But I have a feeling some of these will be made within the next year or two due to characters' anniversary years and/or fan demand.

Thanks for reading my nonsense. I hope you all are having a great day and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, True Believers.

Darn, was hoping for animated Beast and Magneto.

Not the worst panel, but I wish the interviews were a bit shorter.

The reveals were a bit lame. Mostly repaints/redos. A couple things were interesting, but nothing I need to have. I only ordered GI Joe stuff today.

The X-Men TAS Figures look good, I could go without the shadow textures on their costumes.

PulseCon last year was a better show since they used it as a replacement for Toy Fair, SDCC, etc. This year was a bust in comparison across all Hasbro brands. Super excited about D'Spayre. I don't really want Vulcan when there are so many other X-Men characters that deserve a figure more. Not much else new to talk about...

Covid's affect on the world isn't the issue people had a problem with. It was the inclusion of all the non-toy related content. That's why one of my previous posts today was simply "Zzzzzzzzzzzzz". Like most people I came for the toy reveals, not the other stuff. If they had removed at lot of that stuff and condensed Pulse-Con to one day, I think it would have been better.

They should've brought those folks on for a few minutes to make a reveal and then at a later date, release the full interview.
