Herc looks great! I'm glad I have one on pre-order!

As for the reveals at the Pulse Premium thing yesterday, I'm not feeling any of the cell shaded X-Men characters, so I won't be getting them, but I can see why people like them.
That Iron Spider, yeah I'm going to need that! Looks awesome, or dare I say Amazing

I'm in the final stages of finishing my basement and putting up shelving. I can't wait to share some pictures of my display!

Add me to the list of people not interested in the cell-shaded X-Men. I don't care for cell shaded toys at all, but it's cool they are making them for people that are hardcore fans of the animated series.

Hasbro might be able to trick me into buying a cell shaded Beast if it has a better head and the paint job isn't terrible.

At this point in my collecting, I'm only interested in filling in gaps and not repaints or alternate outfits. Due to space, I try to limit my collection to one figure per character, but the big exceptions are the Outback X-Men. Armor Psylocke is at the top of my want list for heroes.

I try to stick to one version per character with some exceptions. Like I've got biker Black Widow on my Captain America shelf while I have the Walmart jacket Widow on my DareDevil one.

I've got both Morbiuses because it's Morbius and I'm not sure which look I prefer, his 70s one or the 90s goth rocker one.

X-Men and Spider-Man are the biggest rule breakers, mostly because I like the Symbiote version of Peter just as much as the original and then of course, the eras of X-Men are excellent. My favorite is the early Claremont run, then I'll go to his later designs until Inferno, after that it's the Jim Lee stuff, and then AoA.

Although, I kind of want to get the figures from the Powers of X/House of X run since I am intrigued by it.

Its nice to hear other collectors also stick to the one version of a character rule. I also try to stick to one (so far I only have different looks for Scarlet Witch, Storm, and Emma Frost. Soon Ill have to add Doctor Strange to that list as well.)

I always try to get (or custom) my number 1 favorite look though so my X-men looks (which is my largest collection) are definitely multi-era. I have always loved the individual costumes for them over any team uniform look.

It's nostalgia layerd on nostalgia at this point and not enough for Hasbro to mine the popularity of the original license, but the profit model must also be extended to the cartoons surrounding the characters.

I chuckled while looking at the cartoon inspired branding on the packaging for Psycho Man/FF retro. It isn't that the packaging is unattractive or poorly executed. It looks great; clean and colorful. What made me laugh was the fact that I'm one of a handful that I know, even among Marvel heads, that actually liked the 94 FF 'toon when it aired. It made me wonder if Hasbro is even aware of the fact that the general consensus of Marvel cartoon fans, especially those that didn't give the show a chance beyond the first season, is that the FF 'toon was fairly lackluster. Love for that 'toon isn't driving interest for the FF toy license and that thinking is a bit of the tail wagging the dog.

Ultimately, I guess it makes no difference with cartoon nostalgia merely being an additional marketing tool for Hasbro. But, yeah, I've only bitten on Black Cat (the lack of heels was a real plus) and Sandman, so far. After the Spidey retro, it's likely a wrap for me and 'toonized redrafts.

Edit: all that said, I'm genuinely excited by the Hammerhead and Shocker figs, so there are positives to the 'animated' waves.

When it comes to my collection, it's just as much of a "who can I afford" as it is "who do I want". Since I'm perpetually broke, it's a lot harder for me to buy who I want than most collectors, since all of my money goes to bills, food, etc. That said, between Christmas and my birthday in January, I usually get at least two months of fun stuff as gifts from my family, so that helps out a lot. I was able to afford pre-ordering the 20th anniversary Captain America (even though I still wish the shield was whole) and the Retro Scarlet Witch.

For me, I only have so much shelf space, but I can count at least fifty characters I'd love to see made into figures and added to my collection. In terms of multiple looks for a single character, I usually stick to one, but there are some exceptions, such as alternate Spider-Man costumes I can chalk up to as alternate reality Spider-Men and the X-Men costumes from different eras. Like for Cyclops, the '90s Jim Lee suit is my personal favorite, but I'd still love new figures for his '70s suit and his '80s X-Factor suit (with a better face/head sculpt and without metallic paint, unlike the last figure that looked sloppy). Basically, if I like that figure and if I can afford it, I buy it. It's that simple for me.

I am curious to see what reveals we'll see for Marvel Legends in November and December. I am also curious to see which characters will make it into their Marvel Legends wish-lists this year after all the recent reveals, such as Vulcan and Iron Spider.

EDIT: I got to listen to some of the new Hasbro Marvel Legends interview videos, and man, they really need to spread them out several hours to a day or two after someone gets a turn to ask their round of questions. A lot of the interviewers kept unintentionally asking the same questions over and over about what they have planned for characters for the 20th anniversary Marvel Legends wave aside from the original four, if there will be more "X-Men: The Animated Series" figures planned for 2022 and beyond, if we're going to see more "What If?" or other Disney+ series figures made, etc. I also notice that Shartimus submitted a request for a 90s animated Doc Ock figure with bendable wire tentacles, like how the Walgreens exclusive Mr. Fantastic's arms were, and that Dan Yun said he tells Dwight he'd love to see it too, but that Dan said that bendy wire is costly. This is the second time I've noticed asking for a Deluxe figure of Doctor Octopus with bendable wire tentacles where one of the staff said it would be expensive for bendable wire. I'd love to know why/when bendy wire technology for figures got to be so costly and phased out. I still would love to see some kind of Doctor Octopus figure (green-and-orange suit re-release with a new head sculpt and white-lensed glasses, white Armani suit, '90s animated, etc.) released next year for Spider-Man's 60th anniversary year, since he's arguably one of Spider-Man's most popular and greatest enemies (he's also my favorite Spider-Man villain, so there's that, too).

Swapped out the Retro IW's face with an extra Gwen's as soon as I opened the new figure. Love this look, now.

I wonder if the additional cost is due to the type of plastic being used. Maybe it's me but I feel like Reed's arms and Scorpion's tail use a sturdier plastic than what you find on older figures like the ToyBiz Series 8 Doc Ock tentacles. Again, maybe it's just me. But if they have changed the type of plastic used so that it lasts longer, then maybe that change means more $$$.

If they are phasing out bendable wire pieces, then ball jointed tentacles seems like the next step. I'm sure they'll be more expensive but I'd be up for a deluxe Doc Ock.

My hunt for Walgreens Nova remains fruitless but finding Target Vulture was barely an inconvenience (not really surprising). I do already have the BAF from 2017 and overall I still really like it but Vulture is one of my favorite MCU villains so getting an upgrade on him is satisfying. His wing articulation feels tighter than it did on the BAF but otherwise he handles the same. When they first revealed this release the brown and green seemed pretty bright but in-hand they look much better. I can definitely see the $42 price tag being a turn-off for some but his wings remain sizable (comparable to some of the smaller legendary riders vehicles) so this figure only going for $32 msrp would be too good of a deal. This Vulture isn't technically part of the Infinity Saga subline but at the same time he kinda feels like he is since it's an instance of Hasbro backtracking to make a more accurate version of a previously done MCU figure.

AoA Rogue finally came in from Amazon. She's a solid representation of this take on the character, they translated the hair particularly well. Naturally she pairs great with Magneto. My only nitpick is that her open hands have such obviously sculpted nails but at this point this is not uncommon in the line. 3 Colossus parts down, 3 to go.

I go with one version per character, with Spider Man being the exception. Though I will sometimes buy two to kitbash and make my "perfect" version.

Civillian versions are also exceptions, few of them as there are.

Yep, no mods needed. The Sue hair-piece also fits perfectly, too.

Brand new release, but not a 100% new figure.

I dig them too. I admit I wasn't thrill about the design in the beginning, but like you said, that grew on me. Early screening of the movie's been getting positive reviews, so maybe it will surprise people.

Same here, and this is my second approval for delay of Sabretooth, Cyclops and Shadow Cat at Target. I don't know for sure, but I believe Target automatically cancel orders after the 3rd delay (at least that seems to be my experience in previous delayed orders), so I'm rather worried about finding the remaining parts now. Haven't seen them in stores.

Thank you! I'll be posting pictures like a mad man.

I saw a lot of people were mentioning trying to only have 1 version of a character. I'm guilty of trying that myself. It works well for Transformers, and for a while I was really good about it with Legends, but certain characters have made me disregard that rule. Spider-Man, Wolverine, Daredevil, Captain America, Hulk, and Iron Man are some that have broken that idea for me. Although, with the recent 90's armor and stealth armor Iron Man, I am done. I skipped the 20 anniversary one. It's hard to limit, I'll admit.

Haha, thanks. It is honestly tough sometimes. Hasbro makes some really cool products. Fortunately/Unfortunately I have to stick to a pretty strict budget so I often don't have much choice. I actually don't own any Wolverine's yet. I am holding out for the day when Hasbro forces me to buy one in a set with something I absolutely want. They almost got me with the Wolverine pack but at full price I couldn't quite pull the trigger for only two figures I actually wanted (Callisto and Mastermind). If the next rumored X-wave is true and has a must have BAF I would buy it and have my first Wolvie. If I had the chance I would totally own 17 different Scarlet Witchs!

Dude, I'm giving away the Wolverine from the 5-er in my "free shit" thread, he's yours if you want him. Fair warning though, with work, I'm slow AF to ship.

The whole reason he's going is the one figure-per-character thing, incidentally- I already have the "Love Triangle" Wolvie, so I have no need of another.

Having a bunch of Wolverines or Spideys or Iron Mans makes sense... or having a bunch of your favorite characters makes sense. IMO the probably comes when you start to get multiple versions of secondary characters. Like I wonder to myself why I have so many Storms when I don't even like Storm. Clearance items, finishing off BAFs, finishing off teams, two packs, 3 packs, box sets, Nostalgia, FOMO, wanting to collect figs from the most recent movie you saw... collecting Legends turns into a black hole if your are not careful.
