Now that Hasbro is doing the X-men Animated Series figures as a way to re-release older X-men characters I wonder if that means they are done with Retro X-men waves. I was keeping my Retro Rogue, Gambit and Storm MOC just in case they release Retro versions of the rest of the team, but if they are not going to then I will just open them up and replace the older versions on my shelf with the Retro versions.

I fully agree! Give me all the Dark Riders! I made a custom Tusk a few years back. I'm not the best customizer, in fact I'm thinking of getting out of that game because everything I make, Hasbro makes a better version of!

My big question with the retro VHS box figures is are we getting a Morph? I want him on my shelf but I'm going to be annoyed that he's shaded like a cartoon. I need a regular Morph! But to your point, I could see the whole team coming out as well as villains like Apocalypse, Sauron, and more. I'm thinking most will be repaints, I'd be annoyed if we got original molds in that series. I would bet we get supporting cast too like Cable and Bishop.

Still no Spideys here in Colorado at any Target. What is the hold up on the main attraction?

I got Marvel Legends Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness Dr Strange and Wong today

Asking for Wong for a long time and so great finally having him.

Dr Strange is great too. his Cape just sits on his shoulders it doesn't peg in so you can have him without cape.

Also great upgrade to the Infinity War one

If anyone is looking for the Spiderman retro wave at Walmart, use the Brickseek link below. It has the SKU for the whole wave already typed in.

https://brickseek.com/walmart-invent...?sku=908018086

Several of the stores in my area say they have it according to Brickseek. The first store that I went to said that it had 6+ but there weren’t any figures on the shelf. The second store that I went to said that it had 3-4 but I actually found the whole wave sitting on the shelf.

How accurate is this? They are saying the Walmart I was at an hour ago has 6 of them even though they did not have any when I was there.

As a merchandiser who works closely with many major retailers, I can tell you that most Walmarts nationwide are in the process of refreshing their toy sets for the year. Many have the new cases of Dr Strange Legends and Vintage Legends in stock, but the boxes are stamped with a yellow sticker saying NOT to sell before the refresh is done so that there are fresh products for it. I was shut down and refused the option to buy in two different Walmarts last week for this reason (despite the cases being in the aisle and sitting on the pallet...i would have been able to grab them all if I had just pulled them off the pallet instead of having some manners and asking an employee about them. )

Of course...that's gonna vary from store to store as you probably know...cause there are employees out there who don't give two shits about aisle resets. That is how I was able to find what I was looking for from both waves regardless a day or two later.

That said...does anyone have a Rintrah (Astral Dr Strange) head they are willing to part with?

lol Yeah, that would have helped.

Either way, we were out and passed by another Walmart, but they only had HH and Shocker. Figures, the two I wanted the most are the easiest to get while the other one is impossible to find.

Had like the greatest toy hunt ever... found the entire Retro Spidey wave at my Walmart, but only because they stocked the whole wave one aisle over in the doll section because the regular toy aisle had no room and was in the middle of a reset. Then found a Transformers Blaster kinda hidden at the same Walmart that didn't scan in, so the lady eventually sold it to me for $12. The fact that I didn't have to pay scalper prices for Black Spidey and Ben Reilly Spidey is such a huge win for me. On the downside... I guess I'm collecting Transformers now.

So anyway... my Spidey shelf in its final form probably... unless they make more Spider-verse figures.

This is VERY rough, and really not that accurate to the character. But for my first time painting anything like this, I'm proud. I'll be redoing his hands however.

That's funny. I said the same thing to myself about the Classified Joes just a few months ago.

Anyhow, I'm thinking to bite the bullet and order Binary, Quasar, and Zemo from Robotkingdom. My success tracking down Walgreens exclusives has always been spotty, even before the pandemic. Back then I'd regularly check one store on my morning commute, another during my lunch break, and a third on my drive home. Even with that frequency, I seldom saw any exclusive more than once, if at all. Nowadays I'm fully WFH, so am doing well to pop into a lone Walgreens once a week. I'm loathe to keep making special trips knowing my chances of success are laughable.

So my question is, how has the experience buying from Robotkingdom been for any of you stateside Arkers? By all accounts they're a reputable retailer, but this will be my first foray into buying toys from overseas. Any customs-related "gotchas" or other delays/obstacles I should anticipate?

No luck on finding anything I wanted today at Target. No Thing was on clearance. The only Spider-man wave figures they had was Shocker and Hobgoblin. The only Doctor Strange figure they had was 8 of that Chavez girl, so no one who actually matters. All of their Eternals figures have been moved to an endcap, but they're not on clearance. Same goes for Mobius from Loki. Oh,, but they had 2 of the 3 Three Jokers from Mcfarlane and Riddler from The Batman. -_-

Does Shocker have recessed pec hinges or are the arms on mine just loose?

Looks like Tessa Thompson's King Valkyrie is getting a "Deluxe" Figure in the love and thunder wave
Preternia
@preterniadotcom
Noticed a new Marvel Legends listing popped up, at least one I hadn't seen before. No price point but listed as "Marvel Legends Thor King Valkyrie Deluxe Action Figure."

https://twitter.com/preterniadotcom/...26881087344640

Maybe its her and her winged Pegasus?

I don’t think we’re that lucky, cool as Aragorn would be. Deluxe price point would be the same range as the Defender Doctor Strange. No way an all-new sculpt for a winged horse would be the same camp as a standard figure with a portal effect.

However, this is an instance where I would be so happy to be wrong. I’ve wanted an ML horse/ pegasus sculpt for years! The reuse potential is there, depending on how weird they’re willing to go. Maybe this is how we finally get Phantom Rider.

Shocker was the first of Amazon's drops for me- the whole wave says 3/22 for delivery but it looks like they are just randomly shipping to me- I have a Gundam marker standing by to outline Shocker but I'm sort of digging this 'simple' look... we'll see how i feel about him in a few days...
