They hinted that they can't reveal more of the wave until after Moon Knight has launched.

I just hope they give people more than like 2 hours to watch the finale before announcing a figure like the crap they pulled with Sam Cap for Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

It’s bad enough the army builder Shield agents don’t have a blond guy to be Quatermain, or maybe an Alexander Pierce or Dum Dum, now we have the choice of short dark hair Quake or short dark hair Maria. A bit of variety wouldn’t go amiss.
I hope I see Captain Marvel II, Moondragon or Jack Of Hearts before my retirement.
Now to search for different heads on my spare head drawer.
I agree 100%. I got my parts box out and found a few for the Male SHIELD agents.

US Agent should've come with an alternate unmasked John Walker head sporting a military flattop haircut with a mean scowling face. So far, 2022 reveals have me getting 10 figs total. And majority will be bought after they have been put on sale or clearanced. Not spending $25-$32 per fig, especially when they haven't included any extra alternate head sculpts, variety of hands, etc. Just 2 yrs ago, all these figs were $19.99, now they want $5 more for the same product!

Half the wave leaked out a few months back. Kate Bishop, Clint Barton, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight. They later confirmed at the end of the stream yesterday that they do have Moon Knight figures coming, so that lines up roughly with what we know. No idea what the other half of the wave is yet.

I'm satisfied with the first iteration of Blue Marvel. I appreciate that they used the mid-large buck and there's tooled detail demonstrating some love for the character. I'm also happy for Speedball and the Controler, but I freely admit that I would've never asked for Basil under any circumstance. Madame Hydra is ok, but that head sculpt, while definitely an improvement, isn't exactly awe inspiring. Same for US Agent; head and sheild (colors) could have been tweaked.

Got my Rhino preorder in at Pulse.

Now waiting for Madame Hydra to show up on Amazon to preorder her. If Rhino shows up there too, I'll preorder him as well.

Seeing regular pictures of Animated Storm makes me cringe. They're horrible. I'm going to just cancel my preorders on this line because the shading really kills it for me now seeing how bad it looks on Storm.

Agreed. When the shots of Wolverine and Jubilee were first shown, I didn't think they were all that bad, but Sinister, Venom, and now Storm look pretty damned awful. To bring it around to my Shocker comment, fans of black lines will approve, I suppose. I'm just glad that so far they haven't done this with a character I need... if they do in fact release Morph with this deco style, I will not be stoked.

I expect Morph would be released with the shading for the Animated line and then receive a normal release down the line.

I always thought the cell-shaded concept was a terrible idea even when it was just a suggestion by fans opining about what they'd like to see. However, the noggin on that Storm, the face in particular, has created a reason for me to buy.

Got the wave (- IronMan + xtra Quake)in at Pulse AND Amazon- I've got the Rhino BAF already but use Select Rhino anyways, so didn't need to drop the xtra $40 on that guy thankfully.

The entire animated X-men line with that cell shading is crap imo, just putting some black lines on already released figs and charging extra for the VHS box, but they know there's people & their $$ soon to be parted. Same for the cell shaded Venom fig, looks awful. D+ MK line is gonna be MCU based so huge pass for me. Same for the She-Hulk D+ wave & sorry, that actress they got to play Titania looks terrible. I doubt they'll make her resemble her comic counterpart at all.

Good lord. October ship date, though it’ll probably hit 2-3 months eatlier. Like the x-men wave I’m cherry picking, will wait until they’re shipping or I see in the wild. I think this makes 8 figures so far for this year and with those estimated dates so far out I’m not sure how much more I’ll be adding.

Got in orders for Rhino, Viper, Blue Marvel, Quake/Maria and Speedball. No interest in anything else. As for cell shading, I'm also not a fan. I've never cared for TAS to begin with (I know, sacrilege), so this X-retro subline was never going to be for me.

I found the Amazon link for U.S. Agent, since it wasn't on ToyArk's front page yet: https://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Legend...s%2C171&sr=1-5

I heard Rhino is/was on Amazon too, but I can't find his link yet. Once I do, I'll share it here.

Looks as though Retro Scarlet Witch is on the way. I've always associated her solely with the Avengers, so I 86ed the Family Matters version thinking I was going to only focus on 90's X-Men. It'll be nice to have her on my shelves.

This line has proven to be a slippery slope indeed.

I'm one of the few that seems to dig the cel shading. I'm all in with Neca's Animated Turtles and these fall in line with that. Especially since I'm pretty selective with Marvel Legends buying in general. I don't really have any regular X-men stuff and getting these will fill that void while not being too expansive. Plus I do have a great affinity for the Animated Series.

I'm not a big fan of the cel-shading....I am however a huge TAS fan so I'll add these to my collection solely for the headsculpts. I'm looking forward to Morph and Jean Grey the most.

The style commonly referred to as "cel shading" is also heavily dependent on the implementation. There is an art to applying that paint style on a three dimensional item and having it look quality from multiple angles. The afore mentioned Neca TMNT are a generally good example of an implementation of this style. It also tends to work better on an already "cartoony" sculpt or something with strong edges such as Gundam. As a fan of the style, I am curious to see how the X-Men figures will hold up at anything other than a face on static pose.

I loved X-Men TAS but I canceled my preorders for the cel-shade releases. I can't justify the price when I open my toys so the box would be getting tossed and the paint differences don't seem worth the cost. I think they look good in photos but not sure about in hand.

NECAs cartoon TMNT line is a favorite of mine and I think they nailed the style there. I'm just not sure about it on Legends.

The price is another thing. After thinking about it, I just don't see the point in spending $27-30 for figures I pretty much already own despite Wolverine having better claws.

Yes, I'm very happy to be getting SpeedBall but what I really wanted to see was Namorita so I could finish off this Secret Defenders team...

Maybe she'll be next year's New Warrior. It's basically just her and Justice left, right? Maybe Silhouette?

I'd love to get Speedball, but I don't think I'd every get the characters I'd want to finish the New Warriors team I was into. If they did do Vance, would it be in his Marvel Boy outfit or Justice. I'd want Justice. And with that Justice, I'd want the jacket/visor version of Firestar. Maybe also even Turbo.

Wanting very specific/weird team lineups is a great way to make you stop, reflect and not spend money.

Jacket/visor Firestar would be cool. I'd want both Namorita & Kymera.

I only tend to get hung up on uniforms when it comes to X-Teams. Avengers. New Warriors, GotG, etc... those tabs I tend to let slide with "close enough'
