I like that venom. The horrible movie body works well for the comic look. Also null looks wicked as hell. May have to get it for my horror themed shelf.

This stream did nothing for me. But if you love Spider-man this stream was for you.
I guess that Deluxe Valkyrie love and thunder figure doesn't exist even though a listing was shown for it |

Lizard and Toad are must buys. Lizard is just freaking incredible looking and the version they should have gave us in the first place instead of that horrid hulking velociraptor version. His face is very accurate to the comics I'm reading.
I'll probably get the Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man since he has webwings and web accessories. I do hope they do a Romita Sr one in in that style sooner rather than later though because god dammit, I want web wings on the adult Spidey body!!! The Ned/Peter 2 pack would be great for more background bystander nobodies. I'll definitely pick it up when Target puts it on clearance. Nothing else wowed me. Pinless joints and toe articulation on that Spider-Man from the 2 pack is nice, but I have no interest in Spinerette nor do I like Spidey having the huge eyes. Never encountered Future Foundation in my comic reads and Venom stealing NECA's Gargoyle wings just looks awkward. I was totally for a new body for Venom, but not like that. I'll just stick to the one I already have. Still no apology for the X-Force 3 pack bullshit nor if Pulse is even going to get more in. The biggest negative was the revealed windowless packaging. NO!! No, we do not want that type of bullshit!! Now I'm going to have to carry a knife with me every time I go to the store so if I see a figure I want, I can open the box up to look at the paint job and to make sure the proper figure is in there before I buy it. That shit is fine when you're buying online, but not in store.

Hate the new packaging. Going to be a mess with QC.
Retro Lizard looks great. I don't need him but he definitely will be welcome by many. Halfway sold on Knull/Venom but I'm still not sure. TBH I forgot about Knull being revealed. I was moderately excited about it but apparently not that much if I forgot about him lol. |

For Spider-Man fans, lots of good reveals. If I see Peter and Ned on clearance, I will pick them up but not critical for my Collection. Retro Lizard and AF Spider-Man look great. No interest in the Toad, Spider-Man and MJ 2pack or Venom and Knull. Don't be surprised if the shipdates for most are 2023.

I'm definitely a Spider-Man fan so this live stream was right up my alley today. Overall thoughts:
Window-less packaging: Not liking it. There really should be a small window to ensure you're not buying a swapped figure. Unless I'm finding them on the shelf on Day 1, I'm probably going to make sure I buy these from places like Dorkside, BBTS, and Pulse. MCU Peter and Ned 2 Pack: Love this set. Peter should have been give a set of web shooting hands since he was shown wearing his web shooters at school. Spider-Man Noir: It's cool but not a must buy for me. Toad: Turned out better than I expected. I need more X-villains so he'll be a nice addition. Iron Spider and Stealth FF Spider-Man: They're neat but not necessarily suits that I love. Might pick them up eventually. Knull vs Venom 2 Pack: Don't care about Knull but that Venom looks pretty cool. Probably will pick this up. Spider-Man and MJ 2 Pack: Definitely getting this set. Probably my favorite piece shown today. The Lizard: Looks fantastic but I hate that he's a Walmart exclusive. I generally try to avoid buying from Robot Kingdom but I may need to for this one. Amazing Fantasy #15 Spider-Man: Looks really great and definitely another purchase. My guess for the lab coat tease at the end: ![]() |

As a Spider-Man fan there are only three figs here that I want and one is more for his role in a Silver Surfer story. Knull, the 2 pack Spidey (with toe articulation - remember when people said toe articulation was useless, then MacFar started using it and they changed their minds?), and Iron Spider.
The BAF Lizard is superior to Ditko-Lizard IMO. I respect Ditko and like his suits and mustaches (and Strange art, most of all), but his iconic bug-eyed Lizard in toy form made me laugh just as I did when introduced to the art as a child. Certain dial-ups of old-timey art have simply never resonated with me. There may be some comedic value there; wish there was a mouth-agape head to display him in all his toothless glory. Whoops, looked at more Lizard pics...his mouth is open after all. He might be worth a grab as a novelty send up. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 04-19-2022 at 11:08 AM.. |

After seeing all of the figures on the main ToyArk page since I missed the video, these are my two cents (which are two cents more than my opinions are worth):
- The windowless packaging is the dumbest decision Hasbro has made yet. I've been buying their figures online anyway, but in-store toy collectors are not going to be happy with this and it's going to make quality control issues worse for everyone. What was Hasbro thinking? This decision is going to bite them in the end. - Toad isn't great, but he isn't awful either. His smiling head sculpt reminds me of Arcade. I hope whatever else Hasbro has planned for the 20th anniversary Marvel Legends figures turn out better. - Spider-Man and Spinneret are my must-own. I loved "Renew Your Vows" and Spider-Man and Mary Jane are my favorite married couple in comics, despite what Marvel and "One More Day" have done. Now if Marvel would actually re-marry these two instead of breaking them up and having them date again for sales gimmicks, we'd be in business. Also, the open hands and Peter Parker civilian head are very much appreciated. I hope we get a Retro Mary Jane next instead of giving Mary Jane one alternate head after another. - Retro Lizard looks PERFECT. I hate that he's a Walmart exclusive, but I'll find a way to get him. Most likely Ebay since Walmart's website is a pain, but it'll be worth it. Also, did the gents at Hasbro they say when Lizard goes up for pre-order and/or if his tail is bendy wire? If only Doc Ock's tentacles were. Speaking of which... - After seeing the final product, regrettably, I WILL get the Doc Ock/Silk two-pack IF it gets back up in stock. That said, I hate a lot about it. I hate that it's a two-pack, I hate that the tentacles aren't bendable wire, I hate that it's an exclusive, and I hate that Hasbro got me again on this with the repainted better suit colors. I have also never liked Silk, so there's that going against it too. I also wish we got a John Romita Sr. Doc Ock head with the black glasses with white mirrored lenses (a la The Death of Captain Stacy). I would've preferred that Hasbro actually finally make a Retro Doc Ock figure. I'm still stunned that Doctor Octopus hasn't gotten the Retro Toy Biz release as a sold-separately figure, not even as a Deluxe figure! - I love, love, LOVE that Venom, though I'm not a fan of the wings. I do hope this means we'll get a classic Venom release sold separately inevitably, because as you guys know, I'm a pre-2000 Marvel era toy collector with a few exceptions (Spinneret, Xorn, Fusion, and a few others come to mind) and I care nothing of Knull. Doctor Octopus is my exception to the rule because he's my favorite Spider-Man villain, but Venom isn't worth the hefty price for me. I can wait. - First appearance Spider-Man looks -- off. I don't know why. I can't put my finger on it, but something about it doesn't look right. Also, I wonder if the back spider emblem will be painted blue or red. I like the web effects and alternate hands, but I'll skip out on this one, especially since I love the Spidey from the Spinneret two-pack so much. Now if it was a John Romita Sr. figure of Spider-Man with the classic 60s comics/"Amazing Friends" cartoon spider chest emblem with its legs out to the sides, I would've bought four of those. Thanks for reading my rubbish. I hope you all have a wonderful day and stay safe, everyone. EDIT: Also, was the lab coat tease at the end Spider-Man related or is it for a different Marvel Legends wave? I do hope this means we'll get a surprise classic Bruce Banner this year. I really, REALLY wish Marvel had some Marvel Legends figures planned for the Hulk this year. It's the 60th anniversary of The Incredible Hulk, The Mighty Thor and Ant-Man, and Spider-Man is getting the only 60th anniversary spotlight? UGH!! The labcoat is 100 percent gonna be for a bouncing blue Beast, especially since one was in the leaks.
Some nice reveals today. Not a huge Toad fan but will pick him up for my Brotherhood display. I like that he comes with little frog minions. Iron Spider looks sick, as do the Knull and winged Venom. I'm also hoping we see those Venom wings used for a new Annihilus or Dragon Man. Not a fan of Renew Your Vows but both figures look really nice. I'm sure fans of that comic will be pleased. The MCU two-pack is another I don't need, but Ned looks nice and I'm sure will have a lot of meme potential. I'm a big Nic Cage fan so will likely get Noir. Lizard looks really cool. Like bluemarvel I was never a fan of the classic Ditko head, so I'm glad it comes with an alternate. And a bendy wire tail is icing on the cake. |

The spider emblem on the back of the AF#15 Spider-Man is red. Dwight briefly turns the figure around in the video when they were going over the web wings. |

It's more of a Romita Sr/Andru Lizard than Ditko and I think it puts the BAF one to shame. Aside from the raptor head, the BAF one is too damn big and has no real knee articulation. Plus, the tail sucked.

Good god. Someone posted on Fwoosh, $78 for the Knull/Venom pack- not sure where they got that info, but if that's true Hasbro can keep the set I would've bought. I don't want or need Knull that much.

I'm fairly certain that's accurate as they're both oversized.

That was an interesting stream today. A lot that I felt "meh" about, but a lot that I am really excited for. I'm personally not happy about the windowless boxes. They're doing that with Transformers and I've found a few figures that have been re-tapped on shelves. This'll push me to just buy online. But anyway, I'm super excited for:
Toad Iron Spider Spider-Man Knull/Venom 2 pack and the Walmart Lizard |

Wonder if the new boxes will knock some of the MIB collectors out of the game? I don't care about it one way or the other but would like to see the holographic tamper resistant tape make a comeback so we can see if someone opened it up already. HATE the toe joints- hopefully it's limited to just this Spiderman and doesn't become a regular thing. Other than a few things like the B&W Spiderman and IronSpider this is going to be a costly 4/20...

![]() Actually, you could sign me up for that too, but I believe Abyss would be a hard design to implement relative to the manifestation of his powers. Maybe we can swap AoA Abyss out for 616 Abyss? Ex Nihilo is incomplete without his sister. Haha! |

Whatever the issues are with Lizard and balance, they surely pale in comparison to Strong Guy and I've seen few complaints about that BAF. |

I wonder if that's Canadian dollars. In USD, it comes out to $60.80.

Just saw on SuperHeroHype that Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8th. I would imagine that we'll see her figure revealed for the next D+ wave around that time since her costume hasn't been kept a secret.
After Ms. Marvel's reveal, that will leave two slots left in the next Disney+ wave. |
