Well, I caught some of the live-stream and saw they're doing Toei/Japanese Spider-Man, a Mojo World boxed set with Dazzler, Wolverine and Mojo (but no Spiral - huh), and they had a Gambit tease. I'm disappointed there's no Nicholas Hammond alternate masked head for the Japanese Spider-Man figure, since they're pretty much the same aside from Hammond's version having a web-shooter on his right wrist and his utility belt. I later saw on Marvelous News we're getting a Retro Iron Man figure of War Machine (as a Modular Iron Man repaint), a Retro Fantastic Four figure for Firelord, and a Target exclusive figure for the Amazing Bag-Man. I'm curious if other figures from the leaked list like Beast and Scorpion turn out to be real and what waves they'll wind up a part of.
I'm very shocked there's likely no other 20th anniversary Marvel Legends figures aside from the original four. You'd think that Hasbro would've had that as their second-big wave for this year after the Spider-Man 60 Amazing Years wave. But then again, I thought we might get something for the 60th anniversary for Hulk and Thor this year and an 80th anniversary wave for Captain America last year, so I'm not at all surprised to be proven wrong. EDIT: Whoops! I forgot to mention they also revealed a Disney+ wave figure of Sharon Carter from "Falcon and the Winter Soldier" and a new Sentinel for the 3.75" Retro wave. Theres a notible difference with the masks. Hammond Spidey has the grill-style eye coverings that were later changed to reflective lenses.

Couple of non-Legends items that may be of interest to some folks on here.
First, for anyone wanting a better Doc Ock, there may be a Mezco One:12 Doc Ock on the horizon. In the product shots for their new Amazing Spider-Man figure, a set of Ock's tentacles is clearly seen and they don't appear to be a custom pieces. Mezco doesn't necessarily mesh with Legends but if a better Doc Ock is important to you, you might want to check out Mezco's Ock, assuming there will be be one. ![]() Second, part of the Legends live stream today revealed a Retro 3.75" Sentinel. The figure looks to be around 6" tall and has the 5 POA the retro 3.75" line is know for. I know some have expressed interest in shorter Sentinels, similar to their first appearance in the comics. This retro Sentinel might be something to consider. ![]() |

Supaidaman...went back to standard ab crunch, and lacks and kind of boot or foot swivel.
Dammit Hasbro. |

I'm happy that Longshot made the cut, but I'd prefer he be a bit more gaunt. I also hope he has an extra noggin with a smiling countenance since he was so often illustrated with a welcoming grin.
Pyreus is a very welcome sight indeed! The mold is a little short for the character, but that face-sculpt is really satisfying. I hope this fig hits soon and doesn't get too badly delayed by China's Zero-Covid policies. |

Also, is anyone else genuinely shocked that we’re on our third Dazzler? Makes me (slightly) more hopeful for my personal pipe-dream, Polaris in her Shi’Ar costume. |

And, no, I'm not surprised by a third Dazzler. And, yes, I also want that "if Polaris cosplayed as Clea" costume! ![]() |

The Mojo reads very Art Adams to me, which makes Longshot’s portrait more unusual. I’d love it if they drew from specific artists more often. Saw Adams at a con a few years ago, he’s a nice dude as well as a terrific artist.
It’s a cool set, I’m just worried about the potential price-point, and about Longshot’s potential exclusivity. Wouldn’t he have been a better fit for the Bonebreaker waves than Darwin, Maggott, or Vulcan? Glad I’m not the only one who would buy that Polaris! Your Clea crack reminds me how much I’d like a figure of her… supernatural Marvel feels sorely underrepresented. |

And, say that last part again, if you don't mind, because mystic Marvel is way understated in my Hasbro collection. Clea, Umar, Roma, Goblin Queen, Amanda Sefton, Talisman, Son of Satan, Nightmare, Gargoyle, Chthon, Kulan Gath, Belasco, S'ym, N'astirh, N'Garai (just one, please), Master Pandemonium, Werewolf by Night, the Ancient One, Baron Mordo, Doc Druid, Mordred the mystic, Agatha Harkness, Shazana, Blackheart, etc... There are plenty from which to choose. |

I know about the difference between the masks, buddy. I grew up watching the Nicholas Hammond Spider-Man show in syndication and I have some of the episodes on VHS tapes. I was referring to the outfit itself. The Spidey suit looks like the Japanese suit, aside from the web-shooter and utility belt, which is why I specifically mentioned them. Sorry for the confusion.

@GizmoTron That's sadly true. Plus, maybe they weren't able to because of licensing issues. I forgot who has the rights to the Spider-Man 1970s TV series right now, so maybe that's why they couldn't do it this time. Still, I'd love to see a Hammond Spidey figure made eventually, as well as figures of Bill Bixby's David Banner, Lou Ferrigno's Hulk and Jack Colvin's Jack McGee. I'd even happily buy Eric Kramer's Thor and Rex Smith's Daredevil from the Hulk TV movie sequels.

That list is an excellent start, although not nearly enough Jennifer Kale for my taste. Hoping that the Midnight Sons-type-thing they’re setting up in the MCU will give us more horror figures, but it could be a double-edged sword where a number of them fall into Disney’s dread “IP confusion” black hole.
I think the Midnight Sons are pretty much guaranteed. It gets us Ketch GR, at least. And maybe even a new retro-Blade, or possibly a Strange fig. I think I like where these two and three pack offerings are going. It could solve the issue of obscure characters clogging pegs, provided they don't over produce as they did with Storm and Thunderbird. |

Some great stuff shown. I don’t know how much I can get, but my line of work is being hit now with the massive inflation. I just paid $4.75 for petrol and the food prices are going up weekly by me. Seems like a lot of preorders are hitting at once and I’m finding myself cancelling a lot. I’ve never done that before.
With Walmart and now target earnings way down, I’m guessing toys are going to slow down for a while. Which you know will make this stuff crazy in aftermarket prices. I love checking out the new stuff and seeing all of the fans reactions and pics, so I’ll keep following these threads, but I’ll do it without the purchases. Such a small exclusion is a crime to and otherwise incredible figure. Last edited by firmpulse; 05-19-2022 at 06:58 AM.. |

Again, we totally agree. Since ML Surfer is so short (Arg) I'm glad they at least chose to use the same buck for Firelord. Dat portrait doh. FIRE. Nice job on his staff as well.

That head tho' is off the chain! It looks so much like one of my Kung Fu heroes from Shaw Bro fame, Lo Meng, that it's uncanny: ![]() ![]() |
