Jigsaw arrived today. I'm a tad bit disappointed in it as he is very gummy at the joints. The headsculpt is good but the gummy joints really suck.

Isn't it interesting how experiences seem to vary? Neal Adams and Larry Hama were total jackasses when I met them. I can give Larry the benefit of the doubt since he only came to one local con, but every year Neal was the same.

Experiences do vary. Artists and writers and collectors are people that have good days and bad days. I have been fortunate during my Convention going days that I met a lot of amazing creators that signed my comics, did sketches in my sketchbook usually for free, took pictures with me.
No problem with anyone's comments on Frank. There are plenty of artists I dislike for reasons which I will keep private. Good to see humor in the posts. We all need humor.

None of these artists can compare to the late & great George Perez. He was super friendly with all his fans & would take endless pics with them and take time to talk to them. He really appreciated & loved his fan base, something I feel that most artists do not. GP was also the best artist out of all of them as well!

I like toys!

I got Herald Thor and Quake yesterday - both are super awesome! Quakes face sculpt is great but she has these weird marks on her elbow joints... I might just put a touch of blue paint on them as it's a bit distracting.

Unfortunate to hear about the marks on the elbows of yours, hopefully it won't be a widespread problem. Absolutely looking forward to this figure the most from the wave. With so much potential, I'm definitely buying more than just two.

Also, how long do you wager Hasbro will make us wait to get this re-released as Madame Masque? I mean it's all literally right there. Just needs the Madame Masque color palette and new head.

I don't see the wait for a Madame Masque redraft being very long at all. Viper and Masque (I forget which came first) were running changes for RoML and Hasbro does seem to follow patterns with their revisits, so Viper's upcoming retool bodes well. Not to mention, the supposed "Iron Man wave" that largely featured Hulk enemies (with Ultron thrown in) and the upcoming Controller demonstrate Hasbro's interest in getting more of Tony's rogue gallery out there, albeit with some notable mistakes. (i.e most of the Soviet Super Soldiers and Ultron not being specific foils for Iron Man) I'd be more surprised if we didn't see her sooner rather than later. We might even see an Arsenal.

Given Masque would easily reuse the Quake/Hill body, I don't think it won't be too long before they do her.

Hopefully it won’t be too long before we see her, they could even reuse the mask sculpt for Destiny.

For those attending this year's SDCC, mark your calenders for Friday July 22, at 12:30pm PT, 3:30pm ET for the Hasbro Marvel Legends brand team panel at the convention.

Steve Evans, Ryan Ting, and Dan Yun (Hasbro) plus Jesse Falcon (Disney) share exciting news for Hasbro’s popular Marvel Legends product line. They will give a sneak peek of upcoming items and hold a Q&A session.

It will be held in Room 5AB. No word if Hasbro has any plans to stream this to folks not attending the convention but we will have coverage of it here on MarvelousNews either way.

Also, Thor sucked. Christian Bale was hands down the saving grace of the film. He was utterly terrifying while everyone else half-assed it, especially Hemsworth. The Guardians served no purpose and that whole plot could have been removed without losing anything. In fact, cutting that out and actually focusing on Jane's story would have made her role much better instead of the rushed mess she was. Thor was an imbecile the entire movie as if his character has regressed. It's a shame because there were a lot of cool elements mixed in with this crap. It's on par with Black Widow and The Eternals.

Congrats on your figures. As for L&T? Once I saw they had Jane as Thor & "King" Valkrie, I knew where this was headed & I wanted no part of it. I have not & will not ever bother watching Eternals & might give BW a RedBox rental using my 75 cent code and will not bother with L&T. Keep going woke Disney, you're gonna be broke.

That's some good information there, I thank you for that. Hopefully the second half of 2022 will have more in store for me than the first half, in terms of reveals anyways. I know what's going to be shown from here on out may be not be available until early 2023.

Side not, I've now been charged for my second legends purchase for this year. Amazon had Siryn "available" earlier this week, and have gotten several notices about delivery dates; but it's now shipped and should arrive this weekend.

I'm actually considering getting all 6 of the figures with BAF for both the Bonebreaker and Controller waves, but that's probably just me having legends withdrawal. At any rate, she was the main figure I wanted out of that, and I'm content to play it by ear and actually "hunt" for the rest in the wild.

The Target near me marked the Thor Legends down to $16.09 on Clearance. YMMV, but seems like a good time to pick up the wave.

I don’t understand why they call her king Valkrie but other than that what’s wrong with her and what’s wrong with Jane as Thor?

Well if you don’t like them your definitely not going to like the recently announced spider-verse 2 character.

all I want out of SDCC in terms of Marvel Legends is to show us the Wakanda Forever wave and hopefully OKOYE will be in that wave so I can finally add her to my collection.

I saw the movie today. I liked the movie overall but it definitely has some problems. And the problems have nothing to do with the women or the "wokeness".

I'll try to avoid spoilers but the movie's script needed more work. Some of the humor doesn't land. There are also some scenes that should have been reworked or cut. Dr. Kain already mentioned cutting the GOTG scene which I agree with. Minor spoiler but the Asgardian stage actors from Ragnarok return. Their scene should have appeared earlier in the movie while a later appearance from one of the actors should have been cut.

If I had to guess, I would say that Taika Waititi is getting spread too thin. In the past year he's had Free Guy, Lightyear, Thor: Love and Thunder, Our Flag Means Death, Reservation Dogs, and What We Do In The Shadows come out. He doesn't have the same level of involvement with each project but that's still a lot to come out in a year.

What's wrong with Jane as Thor and King Valkyrie?

Possibly slight spoilers:

I think Jane as Thor is a clever idea, but this movie poorly implemented it. Her cancer thing should have been developed ove the course of the first hour before she became Thor and that should have been at least two movies in itself.

If you're going to waste your time with wannabe The Winter Soldier, I mean Black Widow, you might as well watch Love and Thunder though.

Also, woke? Give me a fucking break! Having diversity does not make something woke. By the standards of what is considered "woke," X-Men is woke. Miles Morale is woke. Or are those different because your penis isn't being threatened?

Exactly, times are changing and people need to adapt to a little diversity.
