Guess I'm going to miss out on the preorder for Beast as it goes up when I'll be in the theater seeing NOPE.

Word on the Fwoosh is that the team implied the wave with Razorback and the Human Fly will be made up of characters like them. If true, I think this might literally be my dream come true. A wave of all obscure/ classic silver & bronze age Spidey? Woo-hoo! If such a thing is true, who do you think will be in it?
My guesses: - Will O’ The Wisp - Tarantula - Rocket Racer - The Spot - Carrion - Man-Wolf - Molten Man - Belladonna - Grizzly BAF … some of those are more/ less obscure than others, but I feel like at least a couple are a given if this pans out! My personal wishlist for the three remaining characters would be Belladonna, Molten Man, and Man Mountain Marko. Of course, that's under the assumption that they'll do the Enforcers as a box set. Quote:
Main - Robbie and his car. Tier 1 - Johnny and a new bike Tier 2 - Alejandra Jones Tier 3 - Danny Ketch Tier 4 - Mephisto

There will most likely be 2 Spideys in the wave, so that knocks the obscure characters to 4-5. I could totally see the BAF being Grizzly since they can reuse most of the parts from the Build a Bear wave that came out last year. My personal wishlist for the three remaining characters would be Belladonna, Molten Man, and Man Mountain Marko. Of course, that's under the assumption that they'll do the Enforcers as a box set. Yeah, a Ghost Rider Haslab isn’t enticing for me. I don’t need a car in Legends scale and I don’t even have a Ghost Rider figure. I would be down with a Classic Johnny Blaze I guess. I’m happy for all the people that want it but I’m glad If I can avoid a Haslab and save some money.
Sentry might the best upgrade of what they showed. Will be glad to get Beast with a coat and all that. Plenty of good looking figures but nothing much that really makes me want to preorder instead of waiting for a sale.

Personally, I don't have an interest in owning a figure of Robbie's GR, as I'm a Blaze/Ketch fan myself, and really only Ketch because he was Ghost Rider when I was growing up, but an in scale car would be awesome to have in the photos I take.

There is a good amount for me in the panel reveals and I'm very happy for the diverse selection touching multiple pockets of Marvel, even if it still includes 2 Symbiotes and 3 mutants and remains X/Spidey heavy. A new Panther, a potential Hatut Zeraze army, the Fallen One (a 'Samaritan' Thanos with Skreet would be incredible, Hasbro), Sentry update, and there's no way I'm passing on a Jonathan Majors fig...whomever he's supposed to be... all cheered me considerably and serve to demonstrate that Hasbro's listening to some of the X-fatigue. Let's hope they come to their senses with Spidey as well, but not before Will O'the Wisp, Carrion, and some others mentioned.

Great pics. I love both Rhinos (BAF and Retro). IMO, Retro Rhino, is a re-do done correctly, and didn’t feel like Hasbro stole my money…Lol…
Note: Is the Retro Rhino considered cel shading? If so, the blending of the color are done so natural like. And, if he is cel-shaded, I purchased my first cel shaded figure without even knowing it…Lol About the new Rhino, I agree that it's a solid - if slightly lateral - update and like it, I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. I just like the old noggin and paint as well, just as I do with pizza-Spidey and OG Miles. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 07-23-2022 at 10:09 AM.. |

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see figures of lesser-known Spidey foes in Marvel Legends' toylines. Personally, I'm still waiting on the Tinkerer, the Enforcers, classic Tarantula, the Spot, Calypso, the Rose, classic Jack O'Lantern with his hoverdisc, purple-and-blue costume Boomerang, classic Kaine, classic Stunner, classic Lady Octopus, and Delilah. But I just don't think having an entire wave of Spidey figures with D-list rogues and not including one or two A-list villains is a smart move on Hasbro's part. Heck, maybe I'm wrong on this one -- and let's face it, I usually am. But I have a feeling I'm going to be stuck waiting even longer for some of my remaining A-list favorites to get their turn in terms of getting new Hasbro figures made. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and stay safe, everyone. |

I know, bud. I meant that they could revisit him later and do a taller/bigger figure for those who passed on him due to his size/height. I know a lot of friends who passed on him due to being disappointed with the figure's size and/or preferring the Build-A-Figure, with a majority of them wanting him re-made a new taller/bigger body mold. Also, like I said, they could've done a never-before-made figure of Sandman in one of his alternate suits, like his green armored look or his green-and-yellow costume from the Wild Pack. After all, we did get a Marvel Legends Falcon figure and then he got a Retro re-release/repaint a year or two afterwards.
My overall point is I was hoping to hear that we'll get at least one or two new A-list villain figures, is all. The decisions being made and character reveals over this past year has really left me feeling burnt out and my excitement for future reveals has diminished considerably. I get that this is all rumors and hasn't been officially confirmed, but after every figure listing in the leaks this year turned out to be true, it wouldn't surprise me if this turned out to be real too. Thanks for the reply and have a great day, everyone. |

Whizzer would be cool. I liked seeing Whizzer and other heroes like Thunderer and Miss America on the '90s "Spider-Man" cartoon. Also, having Black Marvel would be a great figure to go along with new figures for the Slingers. I'd love to see figures of Dusk, Hornet, Prodigy, and, my personal favorite, Ricochet.

Very underwhelming reveals imo. I've already decided to wean myself off the ML line due to price increases, the laughable "we're gonna help fight climate change!" decision to do away with plastic clamshells & their unwillingness to add more members of teams such as the Imperial Guard/Squadron Supreme, Starjammers & Serpent society. The umpteenth versions of Spiderman/Wolvy/Hulk/Deadpool has been played out. Although the ToddBatverse line takes the cake in that dept with his endless Batman variations. I will cherry pick to the extreme certain characters & only when I see them on sale/clearance & those are US Agent, classic Sabretooth & of the new reveals, the Human Fly although they went again with a yelling headsculpt version with no alternate stoic head sculpt. If this line refuses to fill out the various teams I mentioned & is just gonna continue focusing on repeat releases of the A-listers, I'll probably be done with collecting this line soon.

Agree 1000% on the teams thing. They give us one or two members then make the others in some bullshit exclusive multipack or two packs and refuse to put the. In brick n mortar stores. I mean for fucks sake where is goddamned xfactor wolfsbane?! Shes the last one needed to finish out the core team. Random would be cool but i like the matching 90’s uniforms and rahne is the last one we need. Please hasbro just make her a ragular retail release, same with petra and sway from the deadly genesis team.

To an extent, even Wolverine hasn't been out as much in recent Marvel Legends waves like he used to be. We'd usually get four or five Wolverines a year back in the '90s/Toy Biz days, from battle damaged and classic to samurai and original blue-and-yellow X-Men uniform, and six to eight Spider-Man figures a year in that time. Besides, A-list remakes and re-releases are no shock to me. They're going to get remade or re-released over and over. That's just the way it is. They're popular and they sell. My main problem is they're not making it easier for fans to find them when they do and making them unnecessary exclusives to a lone store or website rather than being easy to find everywhere, like the recent Wal-Mart exclusive Animated Spider-Man. Anyone seen the Amazon link for Beast? The fact that they put up Scorpion at like 1:45 and then haven't 'fan channeled' anything else is kind of annoying.

Howdy everyone! Its been awhile since I have posted, as it has been quite the dryspell for me Legendswise until just recently and now it is SDCC as well! So exciting!
After being one of the people to miss out on the X-force pack due to ordering thru ShopDisney and that fiasco, I didn't really have many wants from the recent offerings. I have recently bought Syrin, Sabertooth, and T:LaT Groot (using the plant accessories for a Black Tom krakoa era custom) though and I love them! Wish I could have had a screaming head for Syrin, but that seems to the consensus so I hope that gets on Hasbro's radar. Less for a new Syrin head and more so that Hasbro doesn't cheap out of giving us a screaming head when they finally get to a new Banshee. Bought a loose Havok for the effects and I am still debating on Darwin or not. SDCC did not present many offerings that I am personally interested in so far, but everything still lools really cool! With a lack of new X-men news and the typical non-existance of any magical side of marvel offerings, I am most interested in the MCU stuff. Likely gonna buy a Mr.Knight. I want a Kate Bishop and a Ms. Marvel, but Idk if these versions will be the one's I go for or not as both will likely get more versions of them made. Holding out for a Ms. Marvel that actually comes with power accessories seems like a safe bet for me. I am torn about old man Loki as he was really endearing to me in the show so I might get him. The lack of Agatha still hurts me personally the most, but I am certain she will get made closer to her show now. Very curious to see the She-Hulk figure and more from Wakanda Forever. Also, that Sharon Carter jacket is just begging to get re-used for a Darcey figure and I need Hasbro to get on it now! I know more X-men figures on the way (always are) so even though I didn't see a lot I want, I did really like how much they shared, enjoyed the fun of checking my phone too often as the panel neared, the general hype of a SDCC presentation again, and hope to see more of what I am interested at PulseCon which is not too far away. Mostly I am holding out hope for a solid X-men wave next year. With the VHS figs being Hasbros "x-tra" X-men line currently and I suspect still going into next year (of which I am not collecting any beyond Morph so far), I am only expecting the one normal X-men wave next year, but Hasbro really could easily provide an excellent selection for a single wave just based off common suggestions alone. Banshee (most requested), Avalance, Destiny, Exodus (all oft requested villans), Wolverine/Fang (has to have an anchor character but doubles as a Shiar Super Guardian and more shiar/the starjammers are often suggested), Outback Psylocke and Outback Colossus (works towards finishing a beloved era and builds on recently releasing Longshot). Add in an often requested Baf like Blob, C'hod, or Spiral and bamm. Could be an instant hit wave from my perspective. Though hoping to see all of that as soon as PulseCon is unlikely. |

If we are discussing teams, there's so much that "needs to be done". One of those is the original Thunderbolts. For three years in a row we got Songbird, Citizen V and Mach....IV? II? I? whichever it was.
Where are Meteorite, Atlas and Techno? I'd be okay with the Thunderbolts version of Fixer TBH, and I'm counting myself lucky I have the Moonstone with the later costume she wore, but we still need her in the Meteorite outfit. it's like they had a plan, and then just jumped it half done. I also worry that they're going to the same thing to the New Warriors. We've now got Nightthrasher, Rage, Nova, Firestar and Speedball in the line. Are they gonna leave us high and dry with no Justice, Silhouette, and Namorita? If they need to do a box set to round it out and include a figure already done like Alpha Flight, or even two already done figures, that's fine. It just needs to happen. That Alpha Flight was basically a team collector's wet dream. We need more of that. Last edited by Captain Nash; 07-23-2022 at 05:04 PM.. |

Was surprised to see Beast was still available on Pulse, so I preordered him.
I can't believe they are selling the Amazing Friends set for $75 and the Herald one for $65 when they contain outdated junk ass shit bodies. No thank you!

As for obscure villains, it could be someone like Grizzly or Gibbon, Man-Wolf or Swarm, or someone more modern like Screwball. Maybe even Sin Eater? Lots of possible low tier Spider-Man villains, but many maybe unlikely, too. Like Belladonna, who has come up but I'm not sure why. I think she's often confused with Marvel's other Belladonna, but the Spidey character was I believe a one and done and may be too much of a deep dive for a Legends figure. |

Marvel Studios had their panel tonight. They've dropped new trailers for She-Hulk and Wakanda Forever. Both trailers have cameos of other heroes in them.
Here's the full MCU slate for 2023 and 2024. I find it strange that the new Daredevil series is titled Born Again. I get the word play, however I don't see why they would want to revisit that story line since the Netflix showed used it in its third season. Maybe it'll be like Age of Ultron and they're just using the title name but the story will be different. |
