Almost is right. Didn't the Gorr everyone hated and said was too expensive sell out? All we need is a "oh the actual figure is pinless" reveal and people will buy up Ronan, too.

2. You, firmpulse, toysick and all the other goofs who think "Hasblo" is a clever insult and not a clear indication that you need to grow up need to get the following message through your head: Hasbro. Doesn't. Give. A. Fuck. About. How. Much. Marvel. Legends. Cost. The problems they're having now with WOTC (which you probably know nothing about) are much more important than this. Besides, the second they make a figure you really want you'll bend over for it anyway. |

While I would like to think this is true, I can't help to think that Hasbro is being paid by Amazon to produce this exclusive figure, right?
I have debated this before, but I'm under the impression that the toys we see in stores and online have already been "purchased" by the retailer. So what does Hasbro care if it has to be discounted to sell? They have already been paid by Amazon directly. But it's a good point. I don't believe calling them loss leaders is accurate but on the rare occassion I need stuff ASAP I will toss one in just to get over the price threshold for shipping. |

I don't care about the prices of Marvel Legends figures in general, as long as collectors have more than enough money left over, it's all good.

Most of the ML I purchased this year we’re around 24.99, it was a increase from last year, but I didn’t get as much figures last year also, so it kind of even itself out for my budget, but I did get some more ML on sale during Black Friday, which really helped my wallet. So , I’m pretty happy that I didn’t pay the full price for figures. This year I took the approach to wait for sales from the retailer instead of being impulsive, and that strategy worked out well for me, even on some of the box set and retro figures. Hopefully, next year, this strategy will work next year as well.

Ronan won't be pinless. The only times Hasbro has made errors with a pinned/less figure reveal is in renders. Gorr, for example, is pinless in his render package/promo pics. However the actual figure is not. Quote:
1. Of course you don't know how to spell "lose".

Besides, the second they make a figure you really want you'll bend over for it anyway. Another thing. Yeah. Hasbro absolutely cares how much the figures they sell cost. Only an idiot would say otherwise. Last edited by firmpulse; 12-13-2022 at 10:00 AM.. |

Dunno if this is isolated or not, but my local Target got in 10+ of most figures from the Controller wave, along with three cases of Infinity Ultron figures.
If a few of the almost twenty Quakes they had survive the holidays, I might army build some lady SHIELD agents. |

^ Yes! Finally a regular Peter B. Parker Spider-man figure that doesn't make him look like a semi-hobo.
EDIT:And nope... his new fig is wearing sweat pants. UGH. Last edited by MeLikeJinx; 12-15-2022 at 03:57 AM.. |

That doesn't look like the traditional Marvel Legends packaging. I thought Hasbro were not doing anymore plastic windows.

I recall them explicitly stating that the retro cardback releases will continue to use plastic, mainline stuff like the standard BAF waves will be plastic-free. Now I'm not sure why the Across the Spider-verse assortment is using the retro template since this is a new movie and the cardbacks aren't even aiming for a retro aesthetic.

Got the Shuri Black Panther suit Marvel Legends figure from Target for $17.49. Its really nice looking. It can hold the Panther Canons from the first Shuri figure. I think this will replace my regular Shuri figure from the first movie on my shelf.

Cool. I liked the trailer and was hoping we'd get figures of Spider-Woman and the other new characters. Hopefully they do Spider-Man India too, as that redesign looks dope.

I'm sure I'll enjoy the movie but these are a bit too stylized for me to try to integrate. I'll maybe go for Gwen and Spider-punk as standalones.

Wow. Everybody skipping leg day on these Across the Spider-verse figs. Gwen looks like the only almost normal fig, but even her masked head looks kinda big compared to her body.
