The original target spiral had a removable helmet. Why wouldnt you want the helmet removable?

The removable helmet thing works well with SW Black, but the choices they would have to make regarding Spiral’s long hair would not please me – I’m almost certain of it. I was glad when Hasbro initially opted to give Magneto two head sculpts, but, considering the number of accessories Spiral comes with, it makes sense that they didn’t add another head for a character that is seldom seen without her helmet. |

Sometimes there are also helmets that look oversized because of their ability to be removable. Plus, I've never really seen Spiral without her helmet, so it would look weird to me for her not to have it. However, that really has nothing to do with it.

The original Spiral's helmet wasn't super tight if I recall. I have her on my shelf still because I need to rotate her out in favor of the new one. I might hold onto the old one and make a Uncanny X-Force Spiral from her. Spiral didn't wear the helmet in that run, so the helmet-less head works there. Overall, that wave is good. Spiral is fantastic and really the best of the bunch. Although, I will admit that I really like that Wolverine too. I'm getting some replacement claws for him from Can Of Beams. I've used the replacement claws in the past and they look amazing on the figures!

Ok, I will.
Hey, Gung-Ho, you have a cover and not a helmet, but either way it does not fly off. And you, you bunch of Cobra Troopers, your helmets stay in place just fine and never manage to go from being on your head to an airborne state. |

Does anyone have a link to these Target pre-orders? I'd really like that Yondu.

I want to know everyone's opinion on pins!
I personally love the pin-less look I feel like it adds to the perceived quality of the figure and makes the price increase seem somewhat tangible to the upgraded design. What I am not a fan of is the inconsistent use of pin-less joints. I think the new longshot looks great (except the weird shoulders) then I open Avalanche and he feels like a cheap after thought... The pins are all there and visible and it really grinds my gears that almost every wave now is about 50/50 pin-less/pinned. These are brand new designs and Hasbro thought "Don't worry about the arms we did pin-less legs so they should be happy!" "But Boss what about Yondu?" "Screw the comic book guys we haven't tooled anything new for them in ages" Blankly stares at Vulcan and returns to putting those gloriuos pins back in place... I sympathize with custom makers and the complaint that without pins, their adjunct hobby is hampered and fixing figures is made more difficult. All that said, I agree that having half the figs in a wave as pin-less, and, even more annoyingly, half of an individual figure being pin-less, while the rest of a wave/fig is pinned is pretty silly. Get your shit together Hasbro. You’re either in, or out/ pinned, or pin-less – make your minds up, Marvel Legends team. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 02-14-2023 at 01:10 PM.. |

Blue! I didn't want to type my full blown thoughts, but you hit most of the topics I left out!
When pin-less joints were introduced it was really a non-issue thing for me, I prefer articulation over sculpt and have never been bothered by the pins even the random red or blue pins on the Spiderman figures never seemed to stand out to me. That being said now that we have been shown the "improvement", it is an expectation Hasbro can and should do moving forward. Mattel was guilty of this too, but have recently abandoned the pinned arms on their WWE lines. Plus lines like Masterverse have been pin-less from the beginning. Hasbro on the other hand have multiple lines with random mixes of pins and pin-less. I think I am more bothered by the inconsistency than anything else. |

But, I do agree if they're going to push the price tag to $30 and up then they have to stick to pinless and do it across the board. If Hasbro is going to charge you for it, then they need to deliver it. |

Maybe it comes from me collecting imports before getting into Legends, but pinless all the way. While certain figures are by no means ruined by pins, they absolutely worsen the look IMO.
ESPECIALLY on skin tone sections. Pinless all the way please. |

With the current price points, I think it is highway robbery for Hasbro to not give us pinless figures on everything. Case in point: Yeah, no, would have probably bought him if he was pinless, but he isn't, so no thanks. Back to your question K, I think the pinless joints are fantastic. Like I never realized I preferred them until I started getting figures that had them. Legs don't seem to be as floppy when they are pinless, especially those on female characters. In fact, the pinless legs seem to have a little bit more meat to them. Dark Phoenix's new legs are not as thin as the old ones were. Avalanche's arms and legs feel so cheap despite the new price tag, which frustrates me quite a bit. At this point, I'm only going to buy figures of characters I absolutely must have if they are pinned joints. Quote:
Honestly i hate pinless joints. With the “wonderful” hasbro qc it was fairly easy to be able to fix frozen, loose or otherwise defective joints and to take figs apart to make customs. With pinless its now near impossible to fix said joint issues and makes customizing a lot harder. I just dont feel the trade off is worth it.

Unless you know some secret technique to fixing joints, being pinned or pinless makes no bit of a difference with defective joints in my book. As for customizing, oh well, that sucks for customizers, but I don't care about their problems when I care about the overall quality of the product I paid for.

Right. If folk are having troube with the helmets falling off with the slightest movement try pressing them down a little more. Because they fit well.
