I’m still waiting for key DnA Guardians and I will be buying that Guardians 3 wave for Cosmo and Rocket, once the clearance begins. Also, I’m holding out hope that a Samaritan Thanos will be considered by the Legends team…along with other longshots like Samaritan’s female Beyonder, Xenith/Strontian, and Ravenous. |

The Marvels Teaser was released today. Those legends figures will follow in the first Captain Marvel movie and be on clearance for years.

I saw a few Eternals Salma Hayek ML figures on clearance for $2 at my neighborhood Walmart a week or so back. Stopped by last night and they were still there.

Hey, all. Sorry I've been gone so long, I've had a very bad week I'm still recovering from. I'm kind of surprised nobody's mentioned the Skrull and Spider-Woman two-pack that Dan Yun mentioned on Twitter that's based on "Secret Invasion":
https://twitter.com/DanYunIsTrying/s...Cw_cbclNYtAAAA Unfortunately, it looks like the Jessica Drew Spider-Woman is a re-release of the same figure from seven or eight years ago, with a repainted darker shade of red, a new head sculpt, and no double-jointed elbows. The Skrull looks okay, I guess. I really am disappointed that Hasbro's re-releasing old figures with new paint apps for characters. First we get Doc Ock in a nearly-impossible-to-find two-pack with repainted suit colors and now we get Spider-Woman with a new coat of paint in a two-pack with a Skrull. Is there more problems with Hasbro that we're not aware of? Since we've got more "Marvel Legends" reveals, I hope that we'll see classic red-and-black suit Wasp, classic Falcon and more villains Count Nefaria sooner than later. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for "Heroes Return" armor Iron Man and early '90s black-and-red "West Coast" suit Wonder Man in the near future. Time will tell... |

About the Avengers 60th anniversary, I wish they finished the 70’s ‘Vengers.
We still need Swordsman, Mantis, Two-Gun kid and Moondragon. Now that would be a great 4-pack. I wonder if the hold up with Mantis and Moondragon is the scantily clad outfits, but I’m sure they could do a “Gamora” and give them ponchos. Or whatever. From the 80’s we need Dr Druid, Stingray, Gilgamesh, Starfox and Marrina (which of course completes Alpha Flight from issue #1). As alternative costumes I’d like an OG Wasp and better Yellowjacket And was the second YJ from the annual in the 80’s? Then her too. And finally it would be lovely if we can finish the Secret Wars roster. Doom is coming with CM2, so that leaves OG Rogue, Titania and Volcana, and an updated Wrecking Crew wouldn’t go amiss. Was Crystal an Avengers in the 80's? I know she was definitely on the team in the 90's. Your list is dope though and I really want 1 of each. Last edited by Regardless; 04-11-2023 at 04:11 PM.. Reason: question\not wanting to add but Crystal is a figure I have been hoping for but I don't want to sound negative in asking |

I completely agree with your stance on the price, especially for what is mostly a dressed-up rehash/repaint. I just have zero impulse control with cosmic Marvel and they did a decent enough job.
Also, I’m holding out hope that a Samaritan Thanos will be considered by the Legends team…along with other longshots like Samaritan’s female Beyonder, Xenith/Strontian, and Ravenous. I'm laughing because back in like 2007 or 2008 I made a list of Marvel Legends that I wanted in an old notebook. I happened to find the notebook the other day and while most of the names I wrote down have been made by Hasbro, the very first name on that list was a Samaritan Thanos! Maybe one day. A guy can dream. I hope you're ok! Sending good vibes your way. |

@Regardless:
Thank you for your kind comments. I believe I’m one of the (slightly) older collectors, so my first issue of Avengers was the last two issues of the Korvac Saga, and I can tell you I was blown away. I still feel goosebumps the first time I saw Moondragon, Captain Marvel, Jocasta, Starhawk, Ms Marvel and Iron Man in one page. And then they all got killed. Now that was hardcore. My dream is to recreate the page we’re all the Avengers are scattered near death, and Thor gotta save them all. It was incredible. It mostly got downhill from then, but I was hooked. I needed to know who all these people were, having no idea some of them had years of history. It was wild. Crystal was not a part of the Avengers in the 80’s. I believe she joined in the 90’s. Crystal was part of the Fantastic Four with the second Ms Marvel (Sharon Ventura), and had been before with the FF before my time ( I’ve since read most back issues). Ah the nostalgia! Anyway, I’m off to open my safari jacket Wonder Man and Yelena figure and hoping they look good. Might post a pic. Stay cool everyone. |

I finished The X-Men today. I'm a little mixed on how I feel about the direction the series took. Like Neal Adams artwork was absolutely amazing and put a breath of life into the run that was starting to look a bit stale. Roy Thomas managed to right some truly amazing stories, but they seemed hindered at times for one reason or another. For example, after Professor X dies some random FBI dude shows up and tells the team they need to split apart. That all lasted 2 issues and the FBI dude was never heard from again, making that whole plot seem pointless. It was also weird for Mesmero to show up, worshipping Magneto, but then have it turn out he was using a robot imitation to trick the X-Men.
A lot of the stories had interesting back-up ones on the origins of our team, but they were disjointed. Cyclops got like 5 issues, Ice-Man had 4-5, Beast had I think 3, while Angel was relegated to 3 and Jean didn't get anything. I get we saw her arrival in the premier, but still, she deserved something. It also made no sense when they were advertise Angel as being after Ice-Man, but then we get Beast's story and Angel was already part of the team. I thought I had missed something at first and then it happened again when they said the next issue was going to be about Cyclops being a wanted man, only for it to be some filler story with Blastaar. Anyway, I highly enjoyed the Havok and Living Pharaoh story, on top of the return of the Sentinels. The Sauron story was good while the Savage Land tale felt a bit rushed. Then we get a stand alone issue that introduces Sunfire, which seemed to end prematurely. Next issue brings back Professor X without any rhyme or reason under the pretense that it was Changeling pretending to be Professor X who died, even though none of that gels with what was established previously. Like why would Charles leave them a farewell letter saying he had cancer if he was using a kagemusha? Just more proof that Xavier is a complete asshole who only cares about his own ambitions. The rest of the issue was mediocre while the finale revolving around the Hulk of all people was equally disappointing. Neal Adams didn't even get the pleasure of drawing the finale, which was super lame. With that said, I did enjoy the series as a whole even with its mediocrity. Yes, it is by far the weakest of the Silver Age runs I have read so far, but I am glad to have gone through it. There were a lot of brilliant stories and concepts. I just wish there was more of a focus on what they wanted to do with it as it was all over the place from a writing point of view. The separation plot should have been at least a year long venture to make the reunion feel special. I can't lie though, I am glad to be through these issues so I can start rereading the Claremont run and get to do it all in order.

Picked up Spider-Verse The Spot at Walmart, for the past couple of weeks I'd seen the Peter B, Miles, and Jessica at one of my local stores but last night the other store had him out too. I'd had comic Spot on my zany wants list but at this point with the line's price increases I doubt how much I'd actually get one especially when it'd just be a basic repaint of the Bucky Cap or Sunfire body. However, this unique Spider-Verse version just really appeals to me. He's got such a weird stylized, alien physique and it hits right for me. I was a bit concerned about how well he would stand with tall thin legs and relatively small feet but so far there's no issues keeping a basic standing posture, I'd imagine though if I left him in a dynamic stance it would probably fall over eventually. The lower left knee hinge is stuck on mine but everything else is moving fine, his torso joint doesn't get a ton of forward movement but the side-to-side and back leans are more than I expected. He does have a pair of fists but the open hands are nice and expressive. The portal Miles accessory is a neat piece and for the most part it looks nice (except when you look at it from angles where you can see the clips attaching to the clear rod), but I think it would've been a nice bonus if the rod-attachment pieces were removable and you could also place the portals on the floor for extra displaced options. It's a very stylized figure that only really fits in with the other Spider-Verse characters but I find myself liking it quite a bit. Also, Jason Shcwartzman.

I meant the PR team. I missed the live stream, but did they actually talk about anything or was that text card all there was?

Dan Yun put a post up on Twitter saying that the "The green theme doesn't end with just Super Adaptoid this week."
So who else is green that we're getting? Green costume Banshee? |
