After seeing all of the teases and figure reveals, the only ones that are must buys for me are Vision, No Way Home Doc Ock, and the X-Men '97 figures. I hope that wave two will include Jean Grey, a Cyclops with a Scott Summers head and optic blast, and Jubilee with fireworks. It'd be nice to have a new non-cel-shaded Mystique too.
The Alistair Smythe and Peter Parker two-pack surprised me, as I would've bet that Chameleon would've been the one to go with Peter Parker. I'm also curious as to why Peter has web-shooting hands when he's in civilian form, as it's not like we see him with his web-shooters on. It also shows how underwhelming I've found the Spider-Man two-pack series to be. Aside from Doc Ock and his bendy wire tentacles and Mary Jane, the figures don't look right. I don't know if it's the paint apps or colors, or the way they're sculpted, but Carnage looks off, the previous Hobgoblin looked nothing like the animated series OR the comic, the Green Goblin looks nothing like the series due to having Hobgoblin's gloves, belt and boots and his Glider being incorrectly shaped, and I would've preferred seeing Felicia Hardy over Aunt May Parker, though she likely would've had the same leg articulation problems/limitations as May. It doesn't help that animated versions of Venom and Spider-Man himself were limited exclusives that are insanely overpriced on Ebay now. Now that I look back on it, we've gotten animated figures of the main villains from the original Toy Biz "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" wave - Doc Ock, Carnage, Hobgoblin, Smythe and Venom. I hope we get new, sold-separately, non exclusive figures for characters like human form Alistair Smythe with his hoverchair, Felicia, Chameleon, Nick Fury, the Rhino, the Shocker, Morbius, the Punisher, the Vulture with old and young alternate heads, redos of Hobgblin and Green Goblin, a Deluxe Kingpin, J. Jonah Jameson, Harry Osborn, and non exclusive redos or re-releases of Spider-Man and Venom, preferably with alternate civilian heads. I hope when we get more Marvel Legends reveals over the next few months that we'll get to see classic red-and-black suit Wasp, classic Iron Fist, some more X-Men 60th anniversary figures, more Retro Spider-Man figures, the No Way Home wave, teases/plans of a Secret Wars 40th Anniversary wave for next year, and/or hopefully some new Hulk and Ghost Rider stuff. Hulk and Ghost Rider are long, looooong overdue for Retro waves and Hulk's film rights rumored to going back from Universal to Marvel might make that happen sooner than later if it's true. |

I was hoping for a Felicia figure as we need a female bystander figure that is more upper class looking than the ones they have done before.
However, I don't know how you think Green Goblin looks bad though as that head sculpt is fucking fantastic. best GG headsculpt to date.

I feel a bit disappointed by the reveals, but also kind of bad about feeling disappointed. It's a really nice comic wave and most of the figures come with a decent number of accessories for a change. Lady Bullseye looks fantastic, as does Luke Cage. And Blade. And Clea. And the Ninja.
But I really want Destiny and Feral

That armor is sourced from the recent Midnight Suns game, it's part of the Knights wave.

Hey ToyArk Team, Any chances you guys could get some more photos of Crystar? Maybe with his helmet removed? I think it’s removable. I could make out “ears” in a couple of the pics.
Thanks for all the hard work ToyArk Team! |

I think I'll be passing on the X-Men 97 wave except for Bishop. Getting him only because we only have one look that Hasbro's done and I'd like to have an alternate look for the more high profile characters. The rest are just too close to what we've got for me to be interested, even with Storm's haircut being different.
Side thought...Lady Bullseye is great to see, wont' be getting her but I know that she was in that old poll with mockups done years ago...that said, her expression is odd. She looks way too positive to be an assassin. |

A New :[A]: or however they renamed Apocalypse would be great too. So would Marauders Kate Pryde and a Captain Briton Betsy Braddock, not the original one, from Krakoa. I'd also like Genesis/Annihilation and the Horsemen Children she had with Apocalypse, as well as some other Arrokan characters, but outside of Genesis I think that's unlikely. |

It's been a pretty eventful week. I received the Monica & Doom set, Black Knight and Sersi, Karnak, Hawkeye w/cycle, and finally finished up a custom labor of love. I also got a notice from Pulse that Moondragon and Drax will be shipping soon. Woohoo!
As for the con reveals, the only definite buys for me are Clea, Luke Cage and Blade. I'll probably pick up Crystar for the sheer novelty. I owned the short-lived comic run but was ever only able to covet the Remco toys when I was a kid. |

Ya know...Looking at all this great new stuff makes me realize they REALLY need to revamp DD's sticks. Those are bad bad. The Netflix DD's were pretty sweet though.

Great photos, but it's sad how much Hasbro is skimping on paint these days. Wolverine's arm hair is the same colour as his skin. Yes, we can easily fix it with black paint and the drybrush technique, but we shouldn't have to.
