I only know Kirby from Hobbs and Shaw and then of course Pascal. No idea who the other two are as I've never sen anything with them. Not sure how I feel about Pascal as Reed, but if he loses a bunch of weight, he can make it work.

I don't love Pedro as Reed and I really don't like Joe Quinn as Johnny. I don't think I've ever seen Vanessa Kirby in anything to have an opinion about her casting, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach was apparently in every episode of NOS4A2 and I have no recollection of him, so, not sure if that's good or not

Not liking the other castings at all. I was hoping they would cast anyone but Pedro, who is a fine actor, but I feel he's a bit oversaturated at the moment thanks to all his other projects. I was hoping they would have found an American actress to play the homely, apple pie Sue as opposed to yet another European actress. Kirby comes off to me as the more snooty Emma Frost than Sue Storm |

I'm really hoping that Katheryn Winnick gets cast as Emma

so he represents yet another double cast for the MCU.

Aside from Atlas and a redo on Mandarin, 3 years ago these were all either at the lower end of my top 10 wants or not even quite in my top 10 wants, so I can't complain. |

A very valid point, while the last 3 years haven't given me a ton of wants, they have given me very highly ranked wants of mine. My heavy new character wants right now are Count Nefaria, Graviton, Exodus, Wizard and Morgan Le Fay, and redo/new outfit characters AO Psylocke, Mandarin and Meteorite and BAF Atlas.
Aside from Atlas and a redo on Mandarin, 3 years ago these were all either at the lower end of my top 10 wants or not even quite in my top 10 wants, so I can't complain. Dude, while I’m being playful, I'm also not complaining. Outside of Stegron, all your wants and top tens happen to be figs I very much want as well. So keep updating that avatar. Just place Stegron last on that update list! ![]() My suggestion is that you please start with Count Nefaria, Graviton, Exodus, Wizard, Morgan Le Fay Meteorite, and Atlas. No particular order outside of Graviton and Nefaria as 1 and 2.... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 02-15-2024 at 11:02 AM.. |

I always liked the AoA/Exiles version more than the cartoon version

![]() My suggestion is that you please start with Count Nefaria, Graviton, Exodus, Wizard, Morgan Le Fay Meteorite, and Atlas. No particular order outside of Graviton and Nefaria as 1 and 2.... Since the Legends line really got back into gear 10 years ago (I know the ROML was in 2012 but it took a couple of years to get stable and good figures on a regular basis), Polaris, Selene, Enchantress, Justice, Firestar, hell all of Alpha Flight I really wanted.... freakin' SAURON (quite possibly my favorite ML of all time), Nimrod, half the OG Thunderbolts, the Hellfire Club set I've practically dreamed about, over 2 waves of AoA figures,...I mean...the list continues to go on for me and I'm sure for others of characters we've really wanted that finally made it in. Wow...run on sentence there. Anywway Definitely not complaining. The list of near-necessary figures I want to see can finally be counted on two hands. I'm not saying there's not more I want but I'm mostly good with the line as it is. Mostly. And Stegron, you have no worries about. He was a joke to me at first, and then somehow became a want and is now the Spider-Man BAF I want most. But still... he's easily below my top several dozen wants, so it's not like the entire list is that wacky. Squid's around the same spot. Although at this point, with the exception of Wizard and a Hasbro Mandarin, we're probably at C-lister level at best, probably D lister. Some of those just catch my attention more than others and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. |

Oh I know it was playful banter. No worries there. I honestly feel like I'm at a point that I could "almost" stop collecting. Things have definitely trickled off for me the last few years. More re-dos, different looks i"m not interesting in, or straight up repaint/releases means less figures I'm actually knocking off my own list. But still...when something from my list gets released lately, half the time it's not just a win, but a huge win. And I'm still anticipating the rumored Nefaria to show up this year. Fingers crossed.

I think they shoulda flipped that list. Have the originals voice the original characters. 97 just seems like its wanting to be og but be new at the same time, which really just doesn't make sense. I mean why not let the og voices voice those characters and let the newbs be the newer additions? Plus why give storm the Mohawk when she didnt have it in that suit, give bishop a haircut when he didn’t have that hair in that uniform and make morph look so damn terrible. Maybe this is just aoa verse in disguise?

Alyson Court said she turned down voicing Jubilee because she felt an actual Asian should voice the character.
Honestly though, some of them are just way too old to be voicing their original characters. Wolverine sounds awful. He doesn't even sound like Wolverine, whereas the new voices for Cyclops and Magneto sound close to the original voices. This was the whole problem I had with Dragonball Super. Just because the old voice actors can return does not mean they should.

It sounds like FF is going to be a period piece set in the 60's. I like period pieces, and that is where it all began for the team, but I’m not sure how I feel about this from the perspective of continuity within the rest of the MCU or what that means as far as their appearance in a modern context. The passage of time has always been dicey in comics with many characters that simply don’t age (is Petey even 40 yet?), but it all hits a little differently when you are watching an anachronistic motion picture meant to fit into a wider tapestry of films. I’m fine with the cast, but I have concerns now. I learned long ago to assume a neutral posture with the Marvel films to temper against disappointment, however, the FF is an important cornerstone of Marvel that I’m invested in NOT being screwed up because the title opens up so much more of Marvel as a gateway to other great characters.
In fairness, it worked well with Cap, but his story, due to his involvement in WW2, necessitated that. I suppose it could work in a similar way with FF and they could employ a plot device that sees them getting trapped in the negative zone (leading to an early appearance of Annihilus) to explain their absence, but that feels clunky as a vehicle for any potential story. Oh, well. I suppose I will return to my previous stance of guarded apathy until they provide something compelling in the way of teaser info. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 02-16-2024 at 07:10 AM.. |

do you think it would be appropriate if Hasbro did a Classic Blob action figure for Marvel Legends?
In original X-Men comic, circus Blob all he had was on he wore speedos |

I actually expect the movie will start out in the 60s with Reed doing his experiment thing. They develop the cast for the first third of the movie, they take off into space and find themselves stuck some sort of cosmic shower. When they come out of it, they return to Earth and it's 2025ish.
