Thanks for the comparison pics…
I was on the fence with that Wolverine/Storm set, but now I know I’m not getting it! To me the previous Storm just looks so similar to this new Storm, and the new one Wolverine is good, but not the best brown suit Wolverine in my opinion, Juggernaut Wolverine might be the best, close second, Retro Wolverine…I know the colors might be different on the figures, but I think they are all trying to give homage to brown suit!

I actually do not like the Juggernaut wave WOlvy. The brown is the wrong shade and those claws are yuck. I personally think they had the perfect shade of brown on the retro card versoin that came out in like 18.

Now for Storm, there were a couple of reasons for me to get this 2 pack. The double jointed elbows and gold bracelets was a selling point, same with the yellow lightning hands, but the biggest reason was the neck peck is a bit cracked on other version. I know at some point when I remove the head it will break off.

I truly hope that the Gamerverse Wolverine doesn’t become the buck for all Wolverines moving forward. However, I’m fairly convinced that will be the case based on the reception.

IMO the best Hasbro claws for Wolverine are on the X-Force sanction team fig

I don't care for the Gameverse Wolvy. Too bulky, but at this point, I pretty much have my definitive Wolvys. Mafex for brown suit and 97 for classic Claremont. Unless Mafex does an actual byrne/Cockrum version of the tiger suit, I see no need to buy another.

Pass on everything revealed today. I recently read the premier issue with Hypno Hustler, it was okay, but he's not someone I felt would be worthy of my money. Though, I probably would have bought him in my past collecting life. Same with Owl, though he looks off. I thought Owl wore round glasses.

Couldn't care less about the Spidey variants, but it seems kind of lazy to just repaint Nightcrawler's body for his version. Was he really just a palet swap in the comics?

Emma is what an exclusive should look like.

Guesss I'll save my money up for that stupidly overpriced Peter/Smythe animated 2 pack. Why the hell is that thing $150????

I doubt it will be. MvC Wolverine is much bulkier than other figures and his tooling can't be reused for many other figures. I can see parts reused, maybe, and maybe the engineering recycled for a Colossus or something, but I doubt it'll be the new default.

It's technically a great fig, and I purchased it because of the fact. But too big for Logan. As for best Wolverines imo - Sanction team, FA Hulk vs, retro secret wars, 97 tiger stripe, and 97 two pack. I think the Mafex version is too tall.

I think it's too small to be Colossus. It really is an odd size. However, I think it could be a D-Man in reuse. Razorfist?

Really? Because the Mafex is only like half an inch taller than the Legends one. The only reason it looks bigger than that is because the shoulders are slumped down on Hasbro's.

Anyway, I went to 2 Rosses today. One restocked with everything BUT marvel figures. The other was... well it was there.

Yes, really, at least in my opinion, it is. The height difference is clear in the pictures you've posted. A proper Wolverine is 5'3", whatever that equates to in Legends scale, Hasbro has cobbled a buck that feels more appropriate for the character than does the Mafex version. It's one of the few scales they've rendered correctly and my reasoning for worrying that Hasbro might utilize the Gamerverse version moving forward. With Hugh Jackman being the masses’ primary exposure to the character, many fans don’t appreciate how short Wolverine is supposed to be. He’s remarkably short, that’s why he’s always called “runt.” Many female characters tower over him, so the shorter..the better.

I ordered Ultimate Iron Man yesterday from a local store. It is really a matter of luck with Marvel Legends figures for me. Local Stores don't import everything, but they imported Ultimate Iron Man to my luck. Figers crossed for Gameverse Punisher & Nick Fury two pack.

Ultimate Iron Man has a nostalgic value for me. When i saw the Ultimate Iron Man Armor Design, i really liked it so much back in the day and followed Ultimate Iron Man Comics monthly. I was so disappointed when i found out that Ultimate Iron Man series was just a mini series. I was really enjoying it.

And while you're not exactly wrong, the Mafex is still shorter than other figures. Honestly though, it's not a big deal for me. Sasquatch was too short. The 97 Sentinels are short. The new Juggernaut might be a bit too big. Some Venoms are too tall, some are too short. I've come to accept toys will ever be truly consistent with comic scale.

I'm not trying to be right or wrong, and, yes, I know that scales vary. Use whatever you choose as your stand-in for Wolverine, I prefer Hasbro's buck. (barring it being changed to the Gamerverse version)

EDIT: For those that ordered from BBTS, I received my Gladiator and Deathbird 2pack today. They are both splendid. I wasn’t really in the market for a new Gladiator, but this is a well-done upgrade that is better than the previous iterations. Hasbro appears to be creating a growing variety in the large framed male characters. Off the top, I see some possible reuse of man-bun Herc’s arms and (definitely) shoulders. I’ll have to inspect more closely to see where all the parts are coming from. Deathbird is the obvious star of the show, but I can see complaints about her cape. While it looks great, I can see some complaints about it being a hinderance. It does feel like efforts were made to create a softer plastic for the cape to provide some give, but the increased flexibility is pretty nominal.
