Yeh I wish they were cheaper, I hesitated getting them at that high of a retail price. But honestly If I were to get them off a member or someone online, factoring in shipping and exchange costs and paypal/ebay fees I'd be paying the same price if not more. I like the IM3 suit and Warmachine, only figures I'm not digging is ultron, stupid Titanium man repaint. But of couse Iron Monger's head comes with him, so we have to get him... grr.

Since he's one of my favorite villains I'll probably get Ultron even if I don't get the others.

I have the perfect solution for the two of you, either BEHINDTHEMASK buys the figure keeps the head and sells ultron to SNAKE. Or SNAKE buys ultron, keeps the figure and sells the head to BEHINDTHEMASK!! EVERYONE WINS!!!!!!

I finally got Ultimate Captain America, from the Hit monkey series at my local TrUx!!! It was either him or wolvie, although I like the X force look, I much prefer Cap. Will post pics later, if luck is on my side, my target will load up on these next week......unless they did and collectors and/or scalpers got to them before I did......

I like your thinking, and normally would agree, but I'm a completist when it comes to 6'' IM figures, so I'll have to get him regardless, just not wanting to lol.

I called the store and they said they were able to. Although, I called a different one and they said they can only the item until the store closes that night.

In my experience, Disney stores have always been pretty good about holding things for customers, although there usually is a time limit the store will set on a locationary basis

IIRC I got the Marvel Legends Iron Man 3 figures at TRU for $14.99 then they had this BOGO 50% sale on all Marvel toys so I lucked out pretty well with the 1st 3 figures.

Recently TRU raised the price to $17.99. The good thing is, with no variants and with only 3 different figures in this wave, this wave is not hard to find. Everyone should have a shot at buying these. Great figures too.

Provided that these sell through and retailers pick up wave 2 early enough, building Iron Monger should be easy. I hope.

For those of you with Disney stores, any particular/specific day that they usually restock?

I really don't know, when last at Disney Store in DwnTwn (mia) I didn't see any MARVEL anywhere, I was then told that the store was in the process of remodeling and would reopen in may...

My turn at photobombing
Picked this up, seen a guy on ebay use it as a custom ride for Hawkeye, thing is a beast, and the back part is expandable so you can fit even hulk in this thing.

redid top of my shelf

Half way done of Iron Monger... damn waiting.. He's nice but he's sadly smaller then the Iron Monger released in the IM1 movie figures, which is kinda sad.

Hands down best $30 I've spent in a long time

Full Break down

playing with smaller heads

even smaller, reminds me of the doctor's office scene from BettleJuice

I placed a couple of the plastic ties against his back and snapped the back part on to keep them in places, had a blast posing

Man I was shocked to even see the $14.99 price tag at first. I am glad I bought them when I did.

I think Hasbro is on a roll with Marvel Legends, but distro issues and the fact that kids don't normally buy them(I think) keeps a lot of older figures on shelves.

I mean wave 1 is still readily available at certain stores.

Price point is what keeps kids from buying.. small kid that gets an allowance or has a paper route isn't going to drop $20+ on a figure, but $8-10 sure. The cheaper the figure the more likely parents will buy it for their kids or buy multiples, gotta get a good guy and a bad guy. Ml is pretty much collector driven. I wish I could find wave 3 and 4 at retail. I want all of the hit monkey wave, a few from wave 3, and an extra deadpool to keep moc. My retail stores are still stuck on the zola wave, but yet we got the new IM3 figures... and new TMNT, go figure.

TMNT usually sells well in my area, it's pretty constant, though I do see Playmates making the mistake of making more gimmick laden figures in the recent waves, without some points of articulation. Pretty bad imo but that's best discussed in an other thread.

I hear ya on ML being collector-driven, I agree. It's a double edged sword, there's always a figure no collector nor kids really care about, and some stores don't order until their supply hits a certain amount. So seeing Drax, Klaw, et al, languish means we probably won't see new stuff until someone buys them. On the other hand, I'm glad those figures were even made.

Collecting ML has never really been straightforward...well at least I see it that way since Toy Biz ML wave 5. After that, in my experience, if you wanted a figure you definitely had to hunt for it. Sometimes we would get lucky, like in 06 when ML wave 15 was flooding TRU.

I really hope we get a revision case this year where it's a mix of wave 3 and wave 4 variants, and normal figures. I think the blue/pink Archangel will be more sought after than the X-Force version. To me it looks better plus it's a classic costume.

I might get the X-Force version but I would prefer an Archangel as Apocalypse figure instead.

The same exact thing happened to the first relaunch with the Annihilus and Blob waves hanging on pegs well into the second year of the line making it harder to find the Brood wave, and the Ronan wave was seriously difficult to find because stores were not reordering.

For those waves, I think part of the reason they sat was because a good chunk of those figures weren't all that great. There are some standouts like ASX Cyclops and such but that was around the time when Hasbro just got the license and was trying to step out of Toy Biz's shadow.

I don't really think they got their groove going until they made the 1st 2 packs, and the subsequent TRU exclusive 2 packs. That's when I think they really got the ball rolling.

Man that F4 wave was disappointing in a lot of waves too. Mr. Fantastic wasn't fantastic. The original head sculpt for Johnny Storm was ditched for a far inferior head sculpt. Invisible Woman may as well truly been made invisible due to that lacking articulation. Silver Surfer was the highlight for me, the joints didn't stick out as much as the Toy Biz one.

I thought Surfer was the worst of that line. Invisible Woman actually looked like a normal woman and not a cartoon character. Her earlier legends versions were a barbie in an F4 suit and an anime figure. Mole man was awesome, Ronan was a small BAF but a great figure. Thing kinda eh, Namor nice, but small, and Mr. Fantastic I think is the highlight of the wave. But then I really don't give much a of a dang about articulation.

Question Time!
Ok so today we want to buy a few Marvel Legends from the Hit Monkey wave at our comic book store. We really want them all but we don't have the money to buy them all. we know we want Archangel(for $23) for sure, and we really want the 3 figures to build Hit Monkey, should we get all 4 today or wait to see if they ever hit walmart for $15? or should we get another 4 figures?

Hard to pass Archangel at that price. If it were me, I would probably just jump on that one and then wait for the others at retail.

Considering how major retailers are still burning through Arnim Zola & Terrax stock, they will show up eventually. They all have to be sitting in a warehouse someplace.
