Blue Marvel: Yes, our region (the UK) has unleashed some whacky and brilliant characters and storylines! It's unfortunate that Marvel doesn't seem to have the same depth of trust in Marvel UK character-wise, despite employing a number of English creators.
As for Astonishing vs New Age, I couldn't agree more. The two couldn't be near the same ball park to one-another, so comparisons aren't fair to say the least. It's the same with comparing Morrison's New X-Men to other eras, Morrison/Whedon wrote a singular story, whereas Bendis/Claremont/others are more attuned to the serial format of comics. Ongoing, shifting, flawed but nonetheless still gems in their own way. Calling Storm's crew the "B-side" album is a perfect analogy! Then, a couple of years later, Peter David's X-Factor became the erratic EP to the X-titles. When are we getting an X-Factor themed ML wave again? We all need a Strong Guy BAF in our ranks. As for Magik and her recent venture into blue hellfire, I'll put that down to Kieron Gillen's FANTASTIC short stint on Uncanny, which evolved into her Final Fantasy BAS knockoff in Bendis and Bachalo's run: ![]() (side note: a Belasco figure! Truer words could not be said) P.S. Cheers for the photo compliment! I'll need to start crafting scenes on your caliber fairly soon, as fight scenes are what these figures were made for. ![]() ![]() Quote:
![]() Agh, wouldn't we all? If only they'd refrained from giving us the 2013 skinny Emma! Now we'll never see her on a Moonstone/Ms. Marvel buck. Unless.... |

I'm getting very impatient for Marvel/Hasbro to lift the embargo on X-characters, so customs it will have to be, for now. ![]() Agh, wouldn't we all? I would love to see a Death's head II figure. even the other guys as well. death wreck, and i think the other guy was Death metal. the art work years back with these titles were incredible. |

Alas, X-Factor may be lost within the seemingly endless morass of possibly(?!?!)/x-men characters/licensing/legal/black-out/black-hole...and I only say "possibly" out of respect for those people holding out hope that these matters aren't related to the aforementioned culprits...

Gorgeous pick, Pinoy! I'm going to have to invest in a camera to come anywhere near your lvl of professional shots...and that's without mentioning the sets you build, the lighting you implement, and the customs you have on display...there are always so many technical aspects at play in your photos!
![]() I just really love recreating or creating some scenes with these figs ![]() |

Truthfully, I only included a short list of characters I most want. Done properly, X-factor could easily be two...or three, if you include the initial team (maybe a box set?)...waves! Since the X-men seem to be a non-starter, why doesn't Marvel have Hasbro do ancillary "X" teams? I've been waiting for a proper Excalibur! That team offers an opportunity for much needed updates: Kurt (we need a new Kurt in classic threads), Rachel ('hound' suit!), Kitty (with her glaringly missing 'Shadowcat' suit), Brian (on the Hyperion buck, of course), and Megan (ohh, the new voluptuous female buck was nearly made specifically with her in mind - I'm surprised custom makers haven't gotten around to her). Not to mention the wide range of short-term members that could get thrown in like Psylocke (Betsy Braddock 'pink uni' version), Dazzler, and Black Knight. Of course the list is much wider, but these are just off of the top of my head... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Vision - While the white version from the 90s will always be my favorite, I find this toy be a combination of both that one with his classic colors. He is pretty awesome and the paint apps are utterly fantastic. The joints are nice and tight to, yet, not to the point where it feels like they are going to break. Sadly he has one major flaw, NO ACCESSORIES!! This is ridiculous because there is no reason for him to have not come with some additional hands. At least the ability to have him with two fists and two open hands would have been nice.

I'm right there with you! Hell, I still like the old Union Jack fig! I'm waiting for Hasbro to make a Baron Blood so that I can have him and Cap face off against the WWII bloodsuker! Union jack is a lesser known vampire hunter extraordinaire!!

I do not care much about the X characters in general anymore but I have to admit I would be stoked to have a Madrox...or 12.

It was garbage. Mine came with the tape ripped off half of the box and one side was crushed. Both packages were okay, but they were only packed with paper.

Glad to see people are getting their SDCC content! How is Giant Man faring? While Goliath (Bill Foster) looks great on that body mold, there's something iffy about Pym on that buck.

Of course the list is much wider, but these are just off of the top of my head... Unfortunately for me, I was born and raised on X-Men, so I like (and love) other characters, but if the X-Men are name-dropped, I'll talk of nothing else. ![]() Quote:
If my prediction is correct, we'll get another exclusive X-men wave or box-set next year. Marvel and Hasbro seem to be following their self-imposed rule that the Legend waves must be attached to a larger movie/TV show. Spider-man: Web Warriors, Avengers Assemble, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Ant-man seem to be the justification for the waves of Legends for 2015. That means if Marvel and Hasbro play by their rules, we'll see an X-men wave or box-set like previous years with a movie attachment.
The Wolverine (2013) = Wolverine Legends: BAF Puck (2013) X:Men Days of Future Past (2014) = All New X-men box-set & X-men Legends BAF Jubilee (2014) No Movie (2015) = No Waves or Box-set (2015) X:Men Apocalypse (2016) = ???? If you're right, here's hoping for a six-figure strong wave with NO Wolverine. |
