It's not Amazon. It is the re-sellers who sell on Amazon. Make sure you check the "Other Sellers on Amazon" section on the right. It seems rather random as to what seller gets listed as Amazon does not always default to their listing and despite what one would expect, the cheapest option is not always what shows on the main listing.

But of course just because someone is pricing something at an extremely unreasonable price doesn't mean someone will buy it. I've seen really crazy stuff. But if it's actually sold directly through Amazon without any third party sellers the price will be fairly close to MSRP. Sometimes even a little less! |

The problem is Amazon does not seem to be getting them in for themselves. I have yet to see War Machine and Valkyrie available from Amazon.

Starts showing up on Amazon through Third Party Sellers - generally can be a month or two months, sometimes less and sometimes more but usually 1-2 months seems about average. I think because these tend to be specialty buyers and distributors of such collectibles ship those out first because they were preordered? Amazon will keep it in stock for a time. Time varies - but they'll have things usually for a little while - 6 months, a year, sometimes more. it really just depends. And you can sometimes find things for less than MSRP (I just picked up two Sentrys for less than the MSRP earlier this week). But the key thing is, there is no way to know just how long something will be in stock. But at some point will be, it just won't be around forever. At times Amazon will get restocks but don't count on it. I mean they may get restocks on things soon after but I'm talking months later. Once stock goes out directly from Amazon it's back to third party sellers and that's where prices get really bloodthirsty. It's no longer the "gotta have it firts" like it was before Amazon got stock. This is now "this is now only available a limited number of ways MWUAHAHAHAH!" And prices can get insane on that. Naturally this doesn't take into accounts things that are exclusive, like SDCC exclusives. Amazon generally won't stock those directly. |

I would like to order a few from amazon or somewhere else online, however a few of you have gotten me nervous about the new spidey wave... with all the complaints about the eyes looking messed up on Kraven and ghost rider, that kinda spooks me.
while i want to get kraven, ghost rider, and superior venom, and possibly chameleon, i feel like i don't want to wait for local stores to start carrying them yet that eye problem scares me. |

At least it isn't as bad on GR since you have to look in his sockets with a good light to notice it. However, once you do, you can't un-notice it. I'm hoping to find these three in stores that I can exchange.

No problems with any of the eyes in my case of the Rhino wave figures... not sure how anyone can claim that their Ghost Rider is having eye issues; his sockets are straight up solid orange. I typically buy figures regardless of paint issues since I'm comfortable correcting things myself and enjoy working on my stuff regardless of if it's brand new or not; I highly recommend learning some basic painting and customizing skills for any collectors that live in areas with poor distribution; passing up that one hard to find figure due to minor paint problems when it could be the last time you ever see it at retail is a bad look... lol. That, or at least just buy the figure anyways but keep the receipt in case you come across a better one.
I'm only able to bust out a few figures at a time nowadays since I'm moving and my entire collection is packed up in crates, but I managed to bring a few pieces to keep in my office for now... dying to rebuild my new display and have the entire waves out on the shelves once I close on my new home! ![]() |

Superior Venom is up for retail. Amazon.com: Marvel The Amazing Spider-Man Superior Venom Action Figure: Toys & Games
Also, quick update, by BAF Ultron Torso came in yesterday, and sure enough, it was my original torso that was defective. The arms were still a little more loose than my preference, however they clicked in and stay on properly finally. 100 percent improvement. Just a thought, but I wish Hasbro would allow you to purchase BAF pieces separately through HTS. There's a lot of money being just left on the table there by them that Ebayers are making a killing on. |

Why the heck would Hasbro do that? The whole point of the BAF parts is to sell the figures they're packed in with... they'd undermine the hell out of themselves offering the parts loose.

Besides, I think the whole point of the Hulkbuster wave was to convince us to buy the whole wave. Half of those figures were remakes(though some were nice we got five remakes and two brand new figures.)

Yeah, edited my post after you quoted it I guess, but agreed... Hasbro wants people to buy entire waves, and the BAF is the incentive. It's pretty obvious they'd never part the BAF's out.

I doubt they will ever stop offering BAF's too. People won't buy the whole wave without one. They know how to makes us buy!

However, the problem with my Ghost Rider are the joints for they are extremely loose, specifically the ab crunch. I can't get him to stand up on the shelf for a day without him hunching over.

If you're in Miami,FL. and looking for the Walgreen's Ant-Man,fresh case of 8 by the registers at 37th Ave. and N.W. 7th St., Kmart in the same strip mall had White Tiger,Chameleon and Ghost Rider.

I'm no fool, I know why Hasbro makes these BAFs, and it's like many of you have said, to sell waves of figures that people might not normally take interest in (such as the recent HulkBuster and Ultron waves). However, that doesn't mean that Hasbro couldn't make the selling of BAF pieces a timed exclusive only to HTS by say...releasing the individual pieces for sale maybe 4 or 5 months after a wave debuts. That way, people who weren't able to find certain figures to complete their BAFs (like many weren't initially with Mandroid due to Black Widow's rarity) without having to break the bank on Ebay. It would also allow people to army build BAFs if they wanted to, without having to hunt down entire waves or duplicates of figures they own all over again (like the recent Allfather series did.) It also benefits people like me, who had one defective piece in their BAF from having to scour ebay in hopes of a replacement. Not saying that Hasbro should get rid of the BAFs altogether, as even I agree it is a great sales pitch, but it would be nice to have slightly more options to obtaining them than to deal with unscrupulous BAF part scalpers on the secondary market. |

It would be nice if they might re-issue some BaFs as store exclusives down the line. Maybe put a "battle damage" mandroid in that set with Coulson, for example.
Though, if you pay attention on eBay the chinese sellers have gotten better about knowing what will sell, and in turn driving the prices down. When Groot first hit he was selling for $80, but within 2-3 months chinese sellers had him for $30 or less for a long time. |

Opened up my Hulkbuster wave last night. Am I the only one who is not a fan of the system use for Warmarchine's back mounted blaster? I feel like it is missing a hinge or swivel and I was shocked it is made of a soft rubber type material rather than a dense plastic.
