That's the same case with Red Deadpool, blue/purple Archangel, et al...unfortunately Hasbro's marketing team seems to have different views than we do.

no but deadpool was released, y'all can still scalp eachother until the cows come home for those who didnt have it and if you already have the ones from the 2 pack and are thirsty for the single carded ones thats just being greedy.

Now, on the otherhand Moonstar has yet to have a figure, and this Jean has been awaited since the 90s cartoon.

I already own the original version from Toy Biz, so I'm not too put out about not being able to get the newer version. I'd love to get it someday, simply because I've been a DP fan since his debut in X-Force (or more specifically, after Joe Kelly started writing him), but I'm not about to pay an arm and a leg or go to any extreme lengths for it.

I don't know how people can like... mix the newer Marvel Legends with the older ones since the quality is so different. Like I see some ML X-men displays with the new Archangel replacing the old one, but the rest are still Toybiz Legends I think... IMO Archangel stands out like a sore thumb. Although, some of the older Legends figs do look pretty decent and can hold their own against the new ones... but some are just hideous too.

I can't even mix my newer POC/30th Joes with my 25th Joes and their is only like a few years difference in quality.

The new ROML Red Deadpool has been released here in Hong Kong but the quantities are miniscule. I saw one the other day going for like $580 HK which works out to abt $70-80 US.

In most cases, I think folks mix TB and Hasbro ML's mostly because there's so many classic costume versions of figures that have never been redone by Hasbro. Classic Hawkeye and classic Scarlet Witch come to mind. Classic Scarlet Witch needs a redo probably worse than any other Marvel character right now... the TB figure is just horrid. lol

I don't know if it was Rick for sure, but it was definitely a dude with a 5 o'clock shadow of some kind. The only reason I can even display that fig is because I swapped the head out Penelope Cruz's head from her Pirates figure. But the body is still all kinds of wrong; Hasbro needs to get on that sh*t sooner rather then later. haha

Was it a direct swap or require modding?

It required some enlarging of the ball joint on the SW figure. Otherwise, pretty straight forward. I still have yet to swap the SW hair onto the Penelope head, though... it's painted so badly that I'm reluctant to use it, so I currently have a Scarlet Witch without her headpiece on. lol

Is it just me, or has anyone else wondered if Hasbro is interested in completing teams? I mean, it's great that we're getting Future foundation Spider-Man and Dr. Doom, and it's cool that we're getting Moonstar (or at least I think we are. Maybe they decided not to make her and are hoping no one notices. Good luck with that), but I'm not sure I fully trust Hasbro to finish up these teams. I mean, I don't expect them to ever make figures of all the little kids in the FF (nor do I want them to),but it'd be nice to get Mr. Fantastic, the Thing and Invisible woman in matching FF outfits. Preferably with the shades of white and black matching. I don't want them to pull the same crap that they did with MU, where you have to buy Ben, Reed and Johnny, then buy repaints of Ben and Reed to get a matching Susan, and then you're still left without a matching Johnny.

Frankly, I'm surprised we're getting a complete Wrecking Crew (or at least we will if Hasbro can figure out their "running change" nonsense), but I've just got this nagging feeling that they never intended to make a complete Future Foundation or New Mutants set. I feel like the only reason we got Spidey and Doom at all is 'cause they we're easy repaints. Same thing with Moonstar.

I make sure a team will be able to complete rather than just buying one

Well, I'd be perfectly fine with waiting to see if they'll actually finish a team before I get 'em, but I feel like by the time they get around to making the rest of the FF or the New Mutants (which, considering we still have Wave 3 variants, wave 4, Iron Man Legends wave 2 and Wolverine Legends to get through, is probably gonna be a while) the first releases (like Spidey and Doom) would be all gone, hoarded by E-bay scalpers.

Kind of a custom/mod question, but not really... can someone tell me if the unmasked Face Off Captain America's hood/mask piece is removable? Or is it glued on in place? Thanks in advance!

It's 2 seperate pieces, the head and the mask. The mask can be removed.

TRU 2 pack Deadpool/Warpath was extremely difficult to find, and the red Deadpool from ROML wave 3 has only shown up overseas AFAIK. I have neither one. I only have the grey one from wave 3. I got that because it's X-Force colors but I also want the red one.

Jean Grey, yea, guys like us want that figure, but Hasbro makes decisions that I question the logic behind. For example, packing Archangel 1 per case, when everyone wants the 90's blue/pink version whereas at the moment it's looking like the upcoming X-Force repaint will be the easier of the 2 to find.

I'd really love to find the new Jean in 90's costume easily but I have my doubts given how ROML distribution and especially casepacks have been handled since late last year.

Yah, you pretty much had to go doorbusters to get that set. The ironic thing is the Black Widow and Hulk 2 packs were kinda easy... but this was before The Avengers came out. I bet if they re-released the Black Widow and Hulk 2 packs those would go fast too now.

I think regular ML Archangel will end up being easier to find than the X-force repaint. Even though he was packed 1 per case at least he was fortunate to be in Wave 1... with all the 2 per case X-Force Wolvies and Jacket Caps joining Drax and Claw on the pegs... Wave 2 and beyond looks more iffy.

At least 90's Jean Grey is the regular version though I think, so she should show up first... the white Phoenix one is the variant. That gives me hope I might find a regular version.

So many quotes. I get the Deadpool fan-ing, that goes with Dani and especially Jean for me, I was referring to those who have the deadpool/warpath two-pack, and in retrospect he has 4 figures so far in the Legends line, Dani has none. Regardless if you dont care for her, there are some who do, especially with her being a Cheyenne and a strong female, I think she's pretty rad.

Now, the north of the Border comment was because I dont run into many collectors, so I can get a hold of usually anyone minus the rare guys (Bagman, victor) and on hasbros part, US residents seem to have terrible stocking going on, if anything I'm grateful.

Still have yet to see anything past wave 2 in stores except for the time I found 2 X force wolverines and a Cap at a Disney store about 2 months ago. Target has had the same Terrax wave figures except Thor and Bucky cap for over a year now
