Not really much of a custom, but with the release of Coulson and Chameleon, it seems suited bodies are all the rage with Marvel Legends, which got me playing around. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but those looking for a more contemporary, suited Red Skull, the head from the Winter Soldier wave does in fact fit the new Chameleon body. Unfortunately it doesn't for Coulson's body, as the neck peg is smaller...but I honestly think it looks better on the blue suited buck as opposed to the Coulson's black.
![]() I also picked up Kraven today, and felt that he was a little naked without a machete. Then I remember that I had all those Mezco Jason Voorhees figures, and managed to find one that worked out perfectly (if a bit gory, but let's face it...when you hunt something...chances are it's gonna get killed....) ![]() And lastly, just wanted to share a kitbash that I finally got around to completing this weekend. During my last move, I was saddened to discover that my Marvel Legends Showdown Jigsaw snapped in half at the waist. After trying for a while to reacquire the figure with no luck for nearly a year, (it was the white suited version which drives some INSANE prices...don't believe me...check ebay!) I suddenly noticed that I had an extra DC Movie Masters Joker Goon lying around. And ta da! ![]() I'm nowhere near as talented as some of you customizers here, but I'm really glad how it turned out, especially with the tacky bolo tie, which I feel fits Jigsaw's over the top mentality perfectly. He blends in well with the other suited bodies as well. So happy to have Jigsaw wreaking havoc in my collection once more! Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 09-20-2015 at 10:56 PM.. |

At that price I would just get the marvel unlimited sub. I've been considering it anyways and my comics are taking up too much space. Anyone have the unlimited sub think it's worth it?

I got the subscription with the figure in mind, and I love it! I started reading comics in 2013, so it has been amazing to go back and read stories from all over. Currently going back to read House of M and then Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, etc...

So I've owned th ToyBiz Blade ML for quite some time and I like the figure...except my hips are so loose that the figure can't stand. I was thinking about kit bashing the figure with the Hasbro ML Nick Fury mold but I don't know how much I'd need to modify it. I've seen people do it online and it looks pretty good so I'm just wondering.

![]() It's not entirely perfect though, as you can see I needed to apply a little bit of a mod on the side to hide where I cracked him open. I glued a piece of the waist holster on the Tom Jane figure vertically to the side of Blade's vest, as the body doesn't quite close around the waist peg with the new pair of legs all the way, and there was a tiny bit of gap present. Despite this little mod, the figure still holds up rather nicely, and the waist rotation and articulation isn't hindered in any way. Even more importantly, the ball joints in the Tom Jane Punisher were casted in black plastic, getting rid of that unsightly paint rub which exposed the brown ball joints on the black pants that the old Blade figure had... ![]() Also ended up ditching his leathery jacket as the vinyl had worn out over the years. Blade here is wearing the cloth jacket from the Punisher featured in the Urban Legends set, and I got rid of the incredibly large pistol that barely fit his hand, and replaced it with an extra NECA Robocop Auto 9 I had lying around, which I felt worked perfectly with the character. ![]() Best yet...Tom Jane Punishers tend not to run too high in price, so perhaps this kitbash might work for you as well. Good luck! |

The same thing happened to me with my Blade, which I ended up kitbashing with the Thomas Jane Punisher movie figure. The legs are a bit bulkier, and fit the figure nearly perfectly, in terms of look and function. I really loved the steel heels and toes on the boots, which give the appearance that they are made of actually made of silver, perfect for busting vampire skulls with a roundhouse kick.

Let me know when you get the Rescue figure, wondering how long it would take to get her...It's probably not the same when you send in your proof and a slip of paper to them like how the digital Archangels were done are they?

Got the Amazon 4-pack last week and Kraven (didn't have a chance to pop online due to other commitments), love the set. For me, Thor and Hawkeye are the winners, Widow has some slight issues (though I did swap her head for the Winter Soldier one and that really helped), but my Banner seems to be a bit of a lemon. I'm planning on getting a second set for some customs (and a second shot at a good Banner) in October when I get the maximum cash back from Amazon.
Kraven is very cool, though I have some slightly loose joints. |
