Well the Jubilee line of Legends was a Toys R Us exclusive (and limited Diamond retailers exclusive) series to begin with, then Storm and Magneto were only 1 per case (Stryfe, Cyclops, and unmasked Wolverine were 2 per case) Most TRU stores only got 1 or 2 cases to begin with so they really were not on shelves long.

yea dude, basically if your hunting down no longer in the store legends expect to pay more then retail for most of them... of course there are certain exceptions but for some popular ones they are fetching a pretty penny.. i recently started to think i wanted the recent spider-woman, Nova, space suit iron, marvel no cyclops but to my dismay some are ridiculously over priced online and some can be had for as little as nothing...

Another use for that Hawkeye/Daredevil head. A friend of mine did this the other day. It's not perfect, but I think it works pretty well for Scott. The hair just needs to be painted brown.

I was lucky enough to find one Baron Zemo at Barnes and Noble and one Black Widow at some shop at my mall that only appears during Christmas time. Now they're selling for damn near 40 bucks online, which is annoying for people who want them. I still haven't encountered a single Red Skull, AIM Soldier or Hydra soldier in the wild. |

Thanks to Brickseek, the Target closest to me showed that they had gotten the Target ML 3-pack, so I went there. Had to have an employee get one from the back, then price matched it to their current online price of $28.50 and picked it up.
I don't know if it was the best set they had, as the guy only pulled one out and I didn't want to be overly annoying in asking to see others to choose from, especially as the set he pulled didn't have bad paint apps. I love this set, the one that surprised me the most was the Hulk, as it was my first exposure to the mold and I was pleasantly surprised by it. That and I liked Indestructible Hulk/Doc Green from the comics and I like the color choices here probably doesn't hurt. Ultron was the one I wanted the most and he didn't disappoint. Some of his joints are looser then I'd like and his right leg seems a bit warped (though from what I can tell from pictures online, this seems pretty common), but it was easily fixed with a little hair dryer time. He looks awesome. Vision has some issues. Key is that he has super loose hips, what I call hula hoop hips, as they can flex without moving the joints. He also has some loose joints so together they can make getting him to stand a bit tricky in some poses. I'm also not the biggest fan of some of the fade paint apps, it's a bit weird in places like the fade in the chest by the ab crunch. Overall, for under $30, it's a phenomenal set. Also, unlike other sets, this one had three figures that I actually have an interest in, so that also helps. (The first Avengers comic that I really read had White Vision in it.) Yeah...it makes filling out the holes in my collection pretty difficult. I used to collect Legends in the past and didn't start collecting them again until the Amazing Spider-Man 2 wave had come out in stores, so I missed out on a lot of releases that I would've been interested in such as Jean Grey, Storm, the Wrecking Crew, and Deadpool. Trying to go back and get the ones I wanted are a pain in the ass since some of them are so expensive now. Hell, even when they had The Winter Soldier wave in stores around here, I never came across any of the figures outside of Marvel Now Cap, movie Cap and The Winter Soldier.
I do feel you though on missing out on past releases. I remember having Black Panther in my hand while Christmas shopping two years ago, and passed on him simply because I thought I might run into him again, but to this day...never have, and man has he jumped in price, especially after he was announced as officially coming to the MCU. Deadpool...that's a whole different beast altogether, and good luck with that one. If you're willing to settle on his gray X-Force duds, it's manageable, but once you start shooting for the traditional red version...yikes. Thankfully, China-Bay has given us lots of Deadpool color variants at half decent prices, so it's still not a figure entirely out of your grasp, if you don't mind having a bootleg filling out a slot in your roster. |

Picked up the ML Target exclusive 3 pack earlier today. There's 4 per case and my two targets have one case each. Apparently the set is scheduled for release either Sunday or Monday to go right before the release of the movie. They're not on display for that reason but with the DCPI you can't go wrong. Regular price will be 50 bucks but it will be on sale for around 42 bucks for either Sunday or Monday. I'm one not to ask for discounts...if it's not marked on sale I don't bother getting into an argument, to me it's not worth it...but, if you lie to me then I'm gonna take it. The employee gave me the usual story that they can't sell it yet because bla bla...so, I didn't argue with him, I just called the manager and I got it for $28.50 plus tax as it was price matched from their web site.
I'll post pics tonight when I get home. I've tried posting pics with my phone and lately for some reason it kicks me out of toyark's web page when I try to on my phone only. |

I was just thinking.....Fox owns the film rights to Namor via Fantastic Four right? Since we're getting Namor next year, I'm wondering if it's still possible for us to at least get X-Men/Fantastic Four characters here and there, right?

Unless something has changed, Universal Pictures owns the rights to Namor. The Marvel movie rights scenario is a complicated quagmire that includes four different studios.

Ghost Rider has also slipped back to Marvel, but that's a cleaner return of rights. |

One interesting thing about Target that I didn't know was that they apparently won't price match items on their website if they're out of stock for home shipping? Went to the local store last night and tried to have them match the $13 online prices for Ant-Man and Grim Reaper, and they said they won't do it. Bit surprised by that, but they were impulse buys so no big deal, I just put them back.

Marvel owns Namor as of this year. Though it's not quite an entire transfer, if Marvel makes a movie, Universal still distributes it due to the particulars of the agreement (Hulk is in a similar boat), but the character rights belong to Marvel once again.
Ghost Rider has also slipped back to Marvel, but that's a cleaner return of rights. Quote:

Just get the Stryfe and the Jubes head and custom away. Do not pay scalpers a dime. |

Both Target and Best Buy have always just seen the price on my phone and then adjusted the price, no questions, no problem, just done and done. (Though I also prep ahead of time; I always have the page pre-loaded on my phone so I can instantly pull it up before I'm at the cash register) Or I'd contact Target corporate via the website and tell them about your issues, since that's pretty fishy to me. |

I thought about doing this and it's certainly tempting. Where would I get the trenchcoat from though?

Nothing new at my Target at all. They don't even have the 3 pack.
