Sauron, Shadow King, Nimrod or Strong Guy would be the ideal BAF candidates. Juggernaut has already been perfected in Marvel Select form, Apocalypse already has a BAF and an individual figure, as does the Sentinel.
All this talk is just giving us false hope, guys. For all we know they could turn around and make Rogue part of a green and yellow-themed wave, and not an X-Men one. |

I would love it if Hasbro made some X-Men toys from the latest movies. If they made a Sentinel BAF that was the 70's DoFP version I would be all over it. The Future ones were too much of a transformer/destroyer for me to like the design, but the 70's one would be a great figure to add to my sentinel collection. I know that this will never happen, but I think it would be cool. I mean how many people walked out of that movie and did not want a Movie Bishop?

It would be okay I suppose but I'd rather see a figure that hasn't been made at all get made. But then again I'm also on board for a Kingpin figure so I'm being a hypocrite right there. And I keep saying Apocalypse figure only because of the movie, not because I really want one. (I have both toybiz BAF and non BAF one.)
That and the fact that the TB Juggernaught is the single most expensive figure I have ever purchased, at $90. but he is just so damn cool. I don't want him to lose his "status"! |

Why is everyone hell bent on putting Rogue in her own wave of figures? She comes with the BAF part to build classic Onslaught, and Red Onslaught is the BAF for Civil War. I'm not disputing or bashing hope that we might get another X-men wave with two new X films coming, but let's stop putting Rogue in there. Like someone said, even though it's the 90's version, she's been spending more time with the Avengers lately. Hasbro has even included images of Rogue with their Civil War press release.
I know we have been burned before for Rogue, and the X-men in general with that damned TRU exclusive wave (which my local one only got a whopping 1 case and that was it) but let's not jinx it. Right now it looks like Nuke got washed out of the wave, and at the moment, it looks like Rogue might be taking his place. Maybe Nuke will be available another way. Walgreens exclusive anyone? (Or bring back the mail away exclusive!) |

Is that it? I don't keep up with NYCC as much as Toy Fair and SDCC - do they usually have more or is the news fairly slim pickings?
I know, on the surface I just want "more news" but everyone knows deep down I'm just looking for any kind of hint of Enchantress or Polaris. They could even make them variants: Women of Attraction (magnetism and love, you see). A play on words like Hasbro so likes to do with their variants. They could even mostly use Scarlet Witch as a repaint. I've though this out for them. What's to hold them back? |

Still no info on the Namor and or character Nuke.... im also still curious as to if we'll get the Cap Wolf head with the new cap figure too ??
well if these pics are no coming out, im sure prior to Christmas this new wave or another should be ready to order before we know it. and yes !! i also want a Onslaught now. If onslaught is a character now, possibly we might get a same era Savage wolverine????? the possibilities are endless. |

I am trying to find a way to attach the extra red Allfather/One Eye Thor cape I have to the 3 pack Ultron to have him be the Annihilation version, but it is kinda big on him.

He'd be alright, but the Marvel Select Jugs is, in my opinion, perfect in terms of paint, scale, costume and sculpt. I don't think anything could top him. Quote:

On "the douche" website the journalist said he spoke to a Hasbro rep at the Preview Night event, who told him that Rogue belongs to another wave and, although the Onslaught head is meant for the Civil War BAF, it's being included in Rogue's wave as an extra. He also confirmed that this unannounced wave will feature its own, impressive BAF. Don't exactly know how reliable that info is, but it's all we've got so far. Interesting. I was assuming the Rogue was with the Civil War wave but if that's the case, maybe it WILL be an X-Wave...oh please let the build a figure be Sauron!!!! Shadow King would be a second choice but I'd be afraid we'd get Farouk's human form and I want the astral version...which would be incredibly difficult to pull off. |

That's a pretty good idea, but I imagine that the short stature of the fig might present problems. Four Ultrons and still no classic version in the 6" scale. So do you think they were going with a Technarchy Ultron with this latest version? Personally, I would rather have that Ultimate Beetle buck re-purposed as a Mach V fig. I thought from the start that this would be a no brainer and they showcased a Songbird so I assumed Abe was coming...

I jest of course...but with as many times as I have been misinformed by "journalists" on that site, I take anything and everything they say with a grain...maybe even a teaspoon of salt. Unless they get this on video or through a panel, it holds about as much weight and integrity as my statement above. Man...a lot of people want that Juggernaut BAF. I personally have a feeling that if we get an X-Wave, it will be Apocalypse since I'm sure he will have some sort of giant form in the upcoming movie at some point, although with the trend of larger BAFs we've been receiving, Juggernaut wouldn't surprise me either. I am kinda hoping against it, as I really don't see the need, but if there is an X-wave, as long as we get decent figures, it wouldn't bother me. As for characters I'd like to see as a BAF -Cameron Hodge -The Phalanx -Bastion -Nimrod Also...I'd love a box set of the 1970's Hellfire Club. Sebastian Shaw, White Queen, Black Queen, Harry Leland, Donald Pierce and a Hellfire Club guard. That would really rock my socks off... Just curious...with the release of the 1990's X-Men comic series, maybe a wave based off that could be on the way? I wonder if the same rights surrounding the cartoon (which originally ran on Fox) is different than that of the Fox X-Men movie-verse? I mean, if they are making a comic based off of an old Fox TV show, could that mean that figures aren't that far behind? Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 10-08-2015 at 01:28 PM.. |

Juggernaut would be a waste of a BAF slot at this point. Plenty of good options for that guy already.
All the reveals look good so far, so it definitely doesn't bode well for my plan of not collecting any Marvel figures next year! Ugh... hopefully pre-orders for all the waves come up before the new year. lol Definitely getting that new Cap, and definitely sticking the original Toy Biz wave 1 head on it like I have on all my main display Cap bodies. =) To this day, nothing beats that sculpt for classic Cap. My thoughts exactly. I know it's not the most popular one...but I really like the Spider-Man Classics one. Not too big, not too small. He feels just right.

As mentioned earlier by another Arker, the Select Juggernaut (my personal main display Juggs =) is pretty much perfect aside from some articulation limitations (which can be modded for improvement). Between him, SMC Juggs, and the Toy Biz Legends series 6, if someone doesn't have a Juggs in their display yet, they aren't trying hard enough. =P

Let's not forget the X-3 Juggernaut and Ultimate Juggernaut from the X-Men Classics line. I actually feel that X-3 Juggs works pretty well with the MCU Legends figures... A nice, new, beefy, Colossus figure might be rather nice as a BAF option as well, now that I think of it. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 10-08-2015 at 02:13 PM.. |

Yeah...I'm sure they spoke to a Hasbro rep, because they are always floating around and available on preview night. I have a friend of my brother who actually works for Hasbro, and they said that they are releasing Rogue in the Civil War is to avoid the embargo that Marvel has on Fox.

I'd LOVE to see a Bastion or Hodge BAF too. They would be fantastic. They also say that figures like movie Quicksilver or MCU Ronan aren't likely to be made, as they're one time characters. On the other hand, Scarlet Witch and Vision have a definite chance of occurring, since they're multiple appearance characters. There's also a SLIGHT hint that Enchantress and Polaris are coming, but read into that hint as you will. Oh, and Angela is coming in 2017, either in a Guardians or Thor wave. I'm very happy to say that they just uploaded a podcast with Hasbro employees who confirm that Rogue is indeed a part of an X-Men 2016 wave! They say it will be 7-8 characters, and most of them (if not all) will come with BAF pieces, to build a character which is big (a he), but not as big as Hulkbuster. My guess is Juggernaut or Strong Guy (come on Guido!)
