I grabbed Rescue on ebay for $40, which was right at what I felt was reasonable for an exclusive but missing the alt head. Spent half an hour giving her rocker ankles and making a Pepper head for her, and now I'm even more content with the price I paid. =)

How did you get one for $40? That's awesome! Who's head is that? It looks great. I need to get my hands on one. I may just buy into the subscription and stop buying physical comics.

The early Buy It Now's for Rescue only had her at $29, but the price jumped as soon as I guess the seller figure out she was a hot item. I jumped in at $40 because regardless of the head missing, the price was obviously only going to get worse and I wouldn't have a shot at it (I had a sub a while ago but hated the Marvel app, so I dropped it).
Head is a heavily dremeled down Wasp head with Spider-Girl hair (with some minor sculpting for the hair on the side and neck).

Damn! I'm sorry I missed them. I would have gotten one for $40.

Just curious, what do you guys think the best Iron-Man figure is, as far as "main" suits go? Really looking to build up my Avengers team and I'm not too picky about having all of the characters match a specific era. For example, I have my MS Marvel Now Thor standing alongside my FO Hulk because I think they look really good together.

My personal favorite Iron-Man armor is the classic look, and I prefer ToyBiz's version over the Hasbro version just because I think that figure is a tad too small for what's suppose to be a guy in a suit of armor.

Toybiz Legends Series 1 Iron Man has always been my favorite classic look figure, but his gorilla arms and short height have always been a problem. I modded mine a little while back to take care of both of those issues, and he fits perfectly in my displays now:

Classic Iron Man height and proportion update Custom Action Figure

MARVEL Universe EPIC HEROES MARVEL LEGENDS IRON MAN Figure | Toys for Boys | Marvel

My favorite Iron Man is the 80's/90's John Byrne era suit. It was the suit I knew when I started getting comics.

My favorite Iron Man figure so far was way back with ToyBiz's series 8 figure. That thing was amazing, and I regret selling him to this day.

If you prefer the classic look, you really cannot go wrong with the one from the Maria Hill two pack, as he was pretty awesome as well, although he might be too small for your tastes.

My personal favorite Iron Man suit of all time was his look from The Ultimates, which Hasbro attempted when they took over the line, but they weren't even close. I wanted the Marvel Select version for a long time, until I finally had it in hand and saw how big it was in scale to my legends. Still, it was a really wicked design that I dug a lot, and is one I'd like to see done properly at some point in Legends scale. They nailed it with the 3.75" Iron Man 2 line, I can't see why they couldn't do it again.

MarvelLegends.Net - Marvel Movies Iron Man II Iron Man Mark VI
Have to say this one,

The Ironman 2 movie mark 6
Awesome looking, i prefer iron man with a triangle.
2 versions and i think if you look at the images hes missing some gold apps on the chest. "The Armoured Avenger" one rather than "movie" one fixes that and head articulation.
This figure looks like it popped out the film, hasbro listened to feed-back about shoulder pads popping off and fixed it from iron man movie and doesn't limit much articulation. The Thing that sold it for me was the multiple hands , first i seen in a figure and thought it was an awesome idea from fist to open hands , even i think holding item hands.
It's a dam shame hasbro stopped making more hands for IM but i bet they have those files giving us an excuse to buy the IM from infinity war, they need to bring em back soon, bet that civil war figure will have an rdjr head without shades
they even made a warmachine figure like this which was awesome.

Hrm, not a huge Iron Man fan but I think my favorites would probably be either the Extremis suit from the Terrax wave of the Heroic Age from the Iron Monger wave. Not necessarily for quality of the figure but purely for aesthetics. That is, until someone else posts one and I remember I like it better.

Me too. I would pay that. I was kind of expecting the exclusive to come with an alternate head, but got nothing...big disappointment. Maybe I'll find a deal somewhere but for now I'm gonna hold out.

You're not paying $100 dollars for a figure, you're paying for a digital comics subscription plus extra goodies. If you're only looking at the prior, you're not getting the whole picture.

$20= Exclusive ML Rescue Figure
$5 = Exclusive Variant Captain America Comic
$5 = Exclusive Variant Iron Man Comic
$5 = Exclusive Variant Agent Carter Comic
$5 = Exclusive SHIELD/SSR Pin Set
$60= Digital Comic Subscription ($5 Dollars a Month)

I have the subscription and it has already paid for itself. I actually use it every day and read old comics in my downtime. I originally only signed up for the figure, but I have since found the comic subscription to be the true gem of the deal.

I just say about the Rescue thing, what is the figure honestly worth to you? If you enjoy the character, your collection just simply will not be complete without it, then splurge a little and indulge yourself. Could you possibly find it cheaper somewhere down the line? Sure. But in that same respect, you might not. But in the end, if you enjoy it, who cares? While it's very possible to be cavalier with your finances with this great hobby of ours, at the same time, remember also that in this hobby, value is truly in the eye of the beholder.

Redfox, I'm thinking of getting the subscription. How quick do they add new comics? I know there's a lag, but that not the end of the world. Any feedback would be great!

As for the Iron Man suggestions, I have 2. I love the face off 2 pack version. That's full on 90's armor and I grew up watching the Iron Man cartoon. That version is special to me. I also love the classice armor one from the Hasbro 2 pack which was also in the Iron Monger wave. I think it's a great representation of the character.

I really like this from the Iron Monger wave

Perfectly worded! Some figures reach astronomical prices post-release, and I've been guilty myself of spending a lot more than I should on figures that aren't that great/aren't "worth" that much, but it's your own choice. Pay what you want! If you have enough money to see you through the month and want to spend a little extra on figures, go for it.

There is lag of about 6 months. Secret Wars #2 and A-force #1 are just a few that are new on the app this week. The lag doesn't bother me because I still get the current comics by LCS. I mainly use the subscription to read story-lines that I missed before I fell into comics. Since my subscription on August 31, I have read Age of Ultron, House of M, Civil War, and Secret Invasion. I'm now currently half-way through the Dark Reign story-line. Nothing but positive words from me!

I definitely concur with Redfox. If you want to go back and read older comics, MU is completely worth the price. Particularly now that the app functions properly. When I joined a couple years ago it was a nightmare but they have worked out the kinks. Still not as good as the Comixology app but definitely useful.

That would be cool. I have yet to watch any of the Netflix stuff , though I totally intend to. Who all makes an appearance in the DD series? PM is fine if you don't want to give spoilers. I would love of course to see a Kingpin figure out of this, one of the rare redos I'd like to see (as a BAF.) jessica Jones? Ugh as much as I dislike her because she's a character shoehorned into MU with a preexisting backstory, I guess it would work. I know she has fans just not one of them. Maybe Purple Man though, that would be cool.
