I caved and did a preorder. I seems like a decent value. I hope they really ship this month. Money might be a little tight, but I can swing it.

I think I am going to play the waiting game with the next few lines of Legends. TRU and HTS seem to have them on sale (or a discount code for HTS) a lot of the time and I can be patient if I need to be. I may cave on a couple if I think they are going to be hard to find, but Honestly I have seen so many Ghost Rider, Kraven , and Chameleon I could choke on them. The same goes for the HB wave.

That is going to be strategy as well. I only want a couple of figures from each wave and I have no interest in either BAF. And i'm going to want to save my money for that X-Wave.

Right now, Legends is so on fire that there really is no reason to not play the long game and wait for the inevitable price drop. I learned my lesson the last few waves after rushing to get a pre-order in and buying the whole wave at full price, only to get to the holidays and see that I could've bought everything for 25-50% off. Because of the revised case pack move from Hasbro, they've also pretty much eliminated "hard to find" figures, which is yet another reason to not buy into the initial rush. The "Black Widow Scalping" days seem to be mostly behind us...

I've left the ML game recently but based on the number of Kravens,Ghost Riders,Spider-people and HB figs I've seen clogging pegs, the waiting game is a smart move, nothing is hard to find anymore. One Walgreen's near me has had the same 8 FA DD on a shelf for over a week.

I've actually only seen 3 Ghost Riders and one is now mine. My area really does suck for Hasbro distribution.

Agree with you there, I've been fortunate with HTS and for some reason they always list the newest wave on a sale or there's a discount code which drops them down to sale price worthy.

Yeah I think most of the Marvel scalping is pretty much gone, you'll eventually see it. Heck I even saw the MI Bishop finally, I think if the brick retail stores would be up to date with their distribution it would be almost perfect :P

Agreed. I remember buying the Ultimate Green Goblin wave piece by piece and searching quite awhile for Carnage, Black Cat and Agent Venom. Then I up and find a lot on Ebay 2 months later for 60 bucks or so for the whole wave plus Agent Venom. Gave me some nice cheap fodder though so that was nice. Of course this is also helped by the fact I have little desire for most of the figures from these waves.

Speaking of figures and upcoming waves, Hasbro is insane if they do not double-pack the Jim Lee Rogue for the first run of that wave. I would not be surprised to find that she is hard to get even double-packed since she is on so many want lists.

I really think part of it is also just the mentality of those doing the ordering in certain areas of the country. For instance they go "Oh my god, Avengers toys! They will sell like crazy so I should buy a dozen cases!". Then the store sits on 6-7 cases worth of the peg warmer double-packed figure and because they see they have a bunch of figures still, they do not order new waves. An employee at my local TRU told me TRU lists all of the Legends figures together in one big lot in their system so if they see they still have a lot of "Legends" figures on the peg they do not order more, even if it means they miss another wave. Apparently the buyers do not stock wave by wave. Hence why they still have 4 Winter Soldier figures on the peg at full price.

I saw 3 at one of my TRU's last week! Depends on distribution I guess.

the problem i've noticed with BBTS is it's great they put the preorders up and you can cancel with no hassle, say if you get them or see them somewhere else prior to BBTS getting them but they really take their sweet time with getting them in stock..... usually the date they have listed for release never actually comes out on that time frame.

This past Rhino wave, i had a preorder with them and my LCS got them in like say a month or so prior give or take. so i simply canceled my order and got them at my LCS. even with their DCC collectibles, i preordered a batman/phantasm set schduled for release november awhile back now it's all of sudden schduled for febuary of 2016... i have a love hate relationship with BBTS.

Retail stores such as TRU at least in my area get these things MONTHS AND MONTHS later..... that's why i've been saying screw it and i've been preordering most of the time since i got into the legends scene.

Did it. My wife and I had to drive to two TRUs to find them, but the Agents of SHIELD pack is ours.

And having them in hand, I'm glad I already had a Nick Fury, because the one in the pack really falls flat. The single-release one is at least a retool, but this one's a straight-up repaint of Red Skull with a Fury head. And it shows.

Glad you were able to find it. They really like that buck for trench coat wearing characters. Red Skull was the same buck as the Epic Heroes Punisher. They just slapped a little extra rubber piece on at the next to change it from t-shirt to turtleneck heh.

Yeah, it's a weird buck. Definitely from before Hasbro hit their groove, but comparing the two Nicks, I'm glad they gave him the retooling they did for the single release - the old lower legs make him too short for my tastes, and there's not much I can do with a Cosmic Cube-grasping hand, short of having Nick just grab people around the mouth to stop them from talking.

But hey, now we have a Fury LMD.

Yeah, I would expect Gwen sold out FAST for their pre-order based on her popularity. Speaking of, can someone explain that to me? I read Spider-Verse and Silk was so much more interesting.

I'm actually in agreement - I like Spider-Gwen in concept, and her design is fan-friggin-tastic, but the actual series is... meh. Like, it doesn't read like 'Gwen is Spider-Woman' so much as 'Spider-Man is a girl.' The series doesn't feel different from reading a Peter Parker book, at least to me. I haven't read much of the post-Secret Wars relaunch, so maybe it picked up? I really, really want to like the book, but it's just... not interesting.

But I am gonna buy the hell out of that figure.

Well it's Gwen Stacey, the true love of Peter. The girl who should have never been killed off in the first place and replaced with the red headed moron. That alone makes her a must buy.

As for the Spider-Gwen character, I only know her from the Spiver-Verse comic, but she was awesome in that as she had the snarky behavior Peter used to have.

I can't stand the art that's been in both silk series books. As for the SG storyline i've liked it, i think her costume is cool, and the fact shes the one with powers and parker supposedly died etc interest me.

Thinking about it now maybe i should get an extra gwen to keep boxed.

Considering SG is a legend figure now, in sure the newest craze Gwenpool is soon to follow. Seems like just another quick cash in from marvel with this character.

I don't doubt that Hasbro will give us a Kamala, but I agree that it should come a lot sooner.

coming from a new legends collector such as myself, i think hasbro and marvel have been doing semi decent with their recent legends releases... I'm hoping for a spiderman noir eventually, possibly Doc Green hulk, i would LOVE a current looking version of howard the duck, spider-ham, even the NEW daredevil costume.

Also i have noticed that they've been doing action figure covers lately maybe if we're lucky we'll see a current DD, space knight venom, and a few others.
