I'm gonna guess you're talking about getting a Jazz figure, right?
![]() Though, man, I would explode if it was a full Jim Lee-era wave. The original X-Men animated series is still my jam to this day, and any chance to get those designs would be welcome (though I still prefer Yashida-colors Wolverine to the 'Tiger Stripe' design). ![]() As for a full Jim-Lee Era wave, they are missing several key characters to make that right. White outfit Storm, Cyclops, Gambit, Beast, Psylocke, Collossus (I guess THe Jean and Archangel serve just fine). So if it is a Jim Lee era set it's only halfway done right. But it's a thought. |

Nash, I think you're right. Don't get me wrong, I like updated versions of characters. But new characters are needed! I mean seriously, another Deadpool or Logan? We don't need that! If it's X-23 Wolverine, then well ok I guess. But we need new people. A Jim Lee era wave would be rockin'.
I'm at the point where I'm just going to wait to see what Toy Fair has in store for us before getting excited or sad. All that being said, I agree with Nash. |

I know a lot of you longer time guys are looking down your noses at Wolverine and Deadpool potentially being in this wave, but for a guy like me who started less than a year ago, this whole wave, if this list is true, is a godsend. I was actually hoping Deadpool was in the wave, as the Toy Biz and Hasbro ones are expensive and I don't want to buy a knock-off. I do have a maskless Wolverine that was leftover at BBTS from the last X wave, but I'd love a brown and tan one or just about any version masked.
![]() That doesn't just go for the X-Wave either. I personally feel that EVERY wave of ML needs to have one "never done before" character in it. More would be better but at least one, you know? Last edited by Captain Nash; 12-09-2015 at 12:18 PM.. |

Welcome and welcome to the wonderful world of ML collecting
![]() Incidentally, I'm in a similar boat, wishing that Hasbro would move further away from doing repetitive Optimus Prime and Bumblebee figures in their lines (which they have started to, at least), but I also see that, sometimes, you do have to redux a bunch of characters for the new collectors who haven't been in the game for as long/can't afford the aftermarket. |

I'm just curious here, but... why would you buy 5-6 Wolverines? Unless you sold others off when better/more appealing ones were released, in which case... that seems to be the sad, unfortunate truth about toy collecting in general (my Transformers collection can attest to that!).

I'm not going to get all worked up over this "list" of upcoming X-figures, I'll just wait until the official pics hit. As for why would someone would want 5 or 6 Wolverines, or any other character for that matter. It happens. Sometimes, there's an excellent sculpt. Other times it's a new costume. Sometimes hey...they did the claws good on this one. And before you know it, you have an army of Wolverines running amuck on your shelves.
It's even worse with Spider-man...lol. I also have a collection of Snake Eyes figures for G.I.Joe...I have NO IDEA how it got to that level, because I'm not even a huge fan of the character. |

Various reasons, BAF for the most part, to get that Jubliee figure. One was in a box set a ways back, one for the Red Hulk, another for I think it was for the Apocalypse.... then another for the face off series and then there were plenty I passed on because I did not want the BAF (hit Monkey wave, Puck Wave and the various other single packs from Toy Biz that were not part of BAF.).. granted no one MADE me buy them but to get the BAF it was the option I had.

@Nah
You mean...you don't want another Wolverine?!?! Deadpool?!?! C'mon man...it's Deadpool! *said with extreme sarcasm* Jokes aside, I agree with you on the new-fig front. That said, if this 'rumor' is to be believed, I'm ok with Havok and Kitty. I've been waiting for Alex for some time, I just hope they pick the 'War of Kings' outfit. Kitty's astonishing get-up is great, but limits her to certain line-ups. As for the other mentions, I'm satisfied with the originals of most of these characters, but I wouldn't necessarily mind updates for them either. I used to argue for new/obscure characters within the ML line, but a few people on this very thread admonished/chided me for neglecting to consider that many people don't have as diverse a Toy Biz/Hasbro ML collection as I enjoy...I guess, this is the age of redux? I'm still trying to figure out what I will do with my original ML Onslaught BAF... |

@Bad Moon
I really hope it is that outfit. If this ends up being the selected attire, the only figs left to complete that particular team of space-faring X-men would be (wait for it, Nash.... ![]() @Boy Blunder To each his/her own, my man. Havok's outfits trend on the minimalist side and I think that outfit added just the right amount of pizzazz. Personally, I'm not a fan of his Marvel Now look. The silly looking cowl makes him look like a tool. But then again, maybe you are a fan of his disco-fabulous/Members Only jacket wearing 90's look. Not me. I'd rather not have the Havok on my shelf look like a 90's boy-band reject... ![]() Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 12-09-2015 at 04:33 PM.. |

If I "had" to get a Havok I would also be in for the one that he wore in the mid -00's - I think that was similar if not the same as WOTK?

As to the Wolverine exclusion comments; it's never going to happen. You can pretty much guarantee some form of Wolverine in every X set. At least the last TRU set did not require you to buy him for a BAF. Neither did the Puck set actually. That was the nice part. Ironically in my case they are actually the two I own. I am by no means a fan of the character but I liked the sculpts. Puck wave one just came in today in a lot I bought off EBay. Not bad when the figures equaled out to about $12 shipped. |

Mary Jane is now for some reason moved away and is working as Tony Stark's assistant or something to that nature. also Spider-man's current costume has slighty changed, eyes and chest emblem has a green glow to them. Also now Peter Parker has become more like bruce wayne/Batman... millionaire playboy, now has a Spider-mobile, spider bike etc. seems to have endless funding similar to batman/bruce wayne.

That was the main reason I moved to buying cases I really wanted. Central IL is one of those really weird areas where we get stuff months later or before anyone else. I was not trying to downplay a case buy at all. There have just not been waves I wanted that desperately lately. I was also amused by how many auctions I have seen for the full Hulkbuster wave for less than retail lately. Part of it is that I have also gotten to the point where I am fine with waiting so there is less urge to pre-order.

[QUOTE=Spyne98;631409] I buy Transformers too. And yeah, it's a pain to buy Prime after Prime. Although, like I said above, I see how it can work for new collectors. I'm at the point now where I try to buy the most perfect representation of a Transformer character I can find and then I never buy the character again... unless something better comes along. Although the CW has been spanking my wallet hard ![]() |

TBM those shots are, of course, a knock-out! Never seen that Four Horseman Studios figure before, but he works impeccably alongside Strange as a harbinger of death. I reckon it's about time that Hasbro starts releasing power effect packs though, don't you think? The Tamashii ones are stunning, but they can only take us so far. We need a decent optic blast, ice beam, energy blast, magical sigil! However, I agress. Super work, mate!
As for the rumoured X-wave line up... Meh/good. I was going to customise myself a modern Havok, but if Hasbro wants to give us one that's fine, too. Kitty NEEDS a redo, and if it's Cable's Chris Bachalo/Messiah Complex uniform I shall be a happy monkey with cash in hand. Still, it's hard not to get disappointed as an X-Men fan. Although, realistically, when are Mercury, Husk, Marrow, Frenzy, Glob Herman, Jamie Madrox and Strong Guy ever going to be a legitimate wave of figures for the consumption of the mass public? My wishlist is a who's who of C-listville. Edit: I'll also cast my vote into the War of Kings pot! Loved that storyline, and unfortunately Alex has done nothing relevant since returning to Earth (except be twisted by Rick Remender into Wasp's psychotic ex-soon-to-be-husband), so WoK it is! The funny thing is, I'm not fond of the WoK Havok costume, but I like the one from during Chuck Austen's run on X-Men, which isn't that different?
Maybe it's because of the art from WoK. But yeah, honestly, my ideal Havoks would be either the Classic/Original, or his Mutant X design. Quote:

you guys all have to keep in mind, that while i agree that some of these will just be repaints and what not, remember some of us don't have some of the other X-men characters already released.... i for one don't have Any legends X characters.
I would like to know which wolverine they'll be releasing as well now.... i already have the select brown and yellow costume so far. |

Did anybody besides me notice that every X-men character that has been on the Uncanny Avengers (besides Sunfire) is in this new ML wave?
It's subliminal advertising for the Avengers. lol |
