We could get an armored Gamora, but I feel like we got the best version of her in the 5 pack this year. The armored one isn't bad, don't get me wrong, it's just not my favorite. If we're talking about female Guardians characters, we could always get Mantis. She's long overdue. We could really use a Nebula. Movie or comic style (I would prefer comic, with interchangeable heads, one bald one with hair).
Other ladies they could make a Phyla-Vell (Martyr/Quasar) or Moondragon.

@TBM Dude, love the branch tendrils for your Groot. Twisty ties? From a comic standpoint, I am curious how that fight you set up would go now. The first issue of the new Ultimates series made a big point of referring to Carol as "Earth's mightiest hero" and she seems to have gotten another power boost. Lobo might go splat rather easily LOL. Figures I find a series I like just before I quite reading new comics.... |

SIDE NOTE: BM..did you hear they are closing the Times Square Toys R Us..i couldn't believe it..that store is EPIC..i was there at its grand opening..and in the store BEFORE it opened for the original XBOX launch..even bill gates himself was there. I've been in there so many damn times...i stop through frequently because i pass it on my walk to work....Rent in Times Square is a mofo tho'.... first the NBA Store..then the ESPN Zone..now Toys R US...all amazing spots...all gone for the same reason... In the immortal words of former NYC mayoral candidate, Jimmy McMillan, "the rent (in NYC) is too damn high!" McMillan warned us years ago. On a side-note to your side-note...In case you didn't know, Jimmy McMillan was sort of NYC's Jim Kelly in the 70's. My friend and I ran into him in the village one Sunday and I yelled to him that the rent was too damn high....he smiled and gave us the solidarity/pride fist lol At the ripe old age of 70, dude is still diesel! The meeting, prompted me to read up on him to a deeper degree than I had when he had his colorful run for mayor. To my surprise, he was a pretty big deal back in the day... About what will end up in TRU's former Times Square locale, without a doubt, some tourist garbage. TRU was the only non-tourist haven left in Times Square...that's over now and I can officially have no reason to visit that part of the city. Additionally, while seeing SW at Union Square, I learned that Forbidden Planet had also moved...but they relocated just a few storefronts down the block. |

As a look I do like the Black Vortex design. It has some very classic vibes but isn't as revealing as her usual attires.

I'm a sucker for hooded cloaks so that was a sell and I really dig the whole interior cosmic look of her cloak as well. It just seems like a really fitting look for Gamora. Then again, I liked most of the Black Vortex empowered looks. Beast was a little wonky but I dug the rest.

I hadn't thought to use them outside of that Magik set-up I did a month or two ago. They were laying around and a light-bulb went off. That's just a beginners app for them. I plan to revisit the effect in a big way! Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 12-22-2015 at 02:45 PM.. |

Lol Yeah, Lobo is one of those characters that is hard to take seriously, but I think that's exactly what Keith Giffen wanted when he created him. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Lobo was intended to poke fun at Wolverine. A spoof of Logan by making a bigger stronger version that hailed from outer space. The fact that Lobo is rarely ever written in somber tones, seemed to set him up well with the GotG another tongue in cheek team of characters. At the end of the day, Lobo might be a joke, but he's one insanely powerful punchline!....as the Guardians are finding out!

lol He's a registered republican (although, I believe he ran as an independent), so he and I have deep philosophical divides between our individual political beliefs. However, his message about the exorbitant rents that make NYC nearly uninhabitable for communities that have lived here for generations, resonates within me and many others. The rent, in point of fact, is too damn high!

* Also his potential political slogan in California as of recent times.

"The amount of water here is too damn low!"...That was actually very funny! To whichever twin that handles the jokes, kudos! On a more serious note, it's sad how unaware the general public is regarding the state of drinkable water in the US. Cali is only one of nine different states in serious peril... |

These pics are from an overseas Ebay seller. This particular seller usually has early factory samples of all the ML figures, and their shots tend to make the figures look wonky (when they photographed the Maria Hill figure, they made her look like a bobblehead, haha) I'm sure the figures are fine in-hand.

Regarding water I think it's kinda funny in itself how there are proposals to clean and filter sewage water to make it drinkable but even in the desperate situation people are still all "hell no I'm not drinking toilet water!" even though it would technically be safe.

Just placed an order for the Amazon 4-pack for $38. Does that sound worth it to you guys? To be honest, I'm not much of a movie figure collector but it'll be kinda cool to have a Movie Hawkeye and Thor to go with the rest of my MCU collection.

I keep trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on that set. Knowing my luck I will decide I want it the day it goes back to full price. If you want those figures at all, getting the set for less than 50% off seems like a win to me.

I'm sorry if that offended you. I was trying to be funny in my typical unfunny way. No offense. I thought the concept of having a joint account with someone was interesting when you mentioned it on another thread. I guess as a non-twin (non-sibling even), my perspective is more singular. Anyway, I'm sure you both are a riot! lol That solution (drinking processed sewage - whoo! Can't wait!) will be forced upon humanity at whatever time drinkable water is no longer an option. No choice. Just do. Water is necessary for life. duh...right? |

Yeah that's what made me want to get the set in the first place. $80 was kinda ehh to me since I didn't want any of the figures THAT much, but at less than $40, it seems like a bargain.
