I believe it was New Avengers #...3? Bendis' first rodeo writing for Marvel's big leagues (and it was good! Until it wasn't).

DUDE! Great find! This is a much anticipated wave of mine, unfortunately though I can't afford it for the time being. Would you post a photo or two of the set if you unpack them? I'd love to see Sharon Carter close up!

Yeah instagram. It's the easiest way for me to spread toy news. Looks like Toyark decided to post about Namor today. I'm REALLY suprised no one else posted this info 3 weeks ago

Oh no, sorry for that confusion! What I meant is that, as Bendis' writing tenure on Avengers comics continued, he grew steadily... less-good. Point in fact was his transition into the Heroic Age (post Siege), I just didn't find his New Avengers comic to be as good as it once were, and then he shoe-horned Storm onto the team just months before AvX? I never understood that one!

Oh, ok...I was thinking of picking up trades for Siege, but it sounds like I should skip it.

As for Scott's death, it hasn't been confirmed, per se. Storm etc have mentioned that he died in an assault/terrorist attack against the Inhumans, but who can say what occurred during the eight missing months? Sinister duped people into thinking he'd returned, but he merely cloned Slim, who was spliced with Inhuman DNA, and exploded.

@donmeca, Feast your eyes on what would become Sentry's fondness for ripping quasi-important characters in half!

To be honest with you, I am not impressed. In fact I think he is pretty pathetic (lol) simply because I feel like he was somehow meant to be the Marvel version of Superman and I personally hate DC comics (kill me idc) and the only real relevance he plays in my eyes is during the civil war. So aside from ripping Carnage in half he doesn't amount to much other than the small role he played in the war.

Holy crap skip over what I just said, he didn't do much during the civil war, it was actually the "World War Hulk" series that he actually had an impact. Had to go back and check my facts, the whole MCU has my head in a spiral when it comes to the actual comics. I feel like a complete dunce.

I have not read comics for some time... House of M was really my last hurrah. Questions.. Is Sentry a good guy or bad? Is Jean Grey (the real one) back yet? Are Cyclops and Emma Frost still an item?

The Namor news is awesome! Can't wait to pick him up.

Sentry is both a good guy and a bad guy at times depending on the purpose of the story. He is also a horrid character, IMO. Another one of those shoehorned into to continuity characters (my second least favorite thing ever) and quite honestly it seemed they didn't know if they wanted to make him a sympathetic character or a complete psychopath.

although him tearing Ares in half was a pretty amazing (and yet revolting) two page spread. However that's a sign of him being out of control, he tore Carnage in half, tore of Morgan Le Fay's head..etc etc...

Actually a lot of people really don't like Sentry. He was introduced in what is considered the modern age of comics but his origin retcons him as being an active hero who was seemingly involved with every other hero going back to the '60s. He was written as being so stupidly damn powerful/good that he apparently saved the Earth so many times that when he decided to quit he also simultaneously wiped memories of himself from everybody's minds, except if he was so damn good then why didn't he ever lift a finger to help stop Thanos or any other world ending event of the day?! So it was just some bad/sloppy retconning which is never good. Then to make matters worse he seemingly got more and more powers every time he showed up much to the disdain of readers. Reading Thor breaking his neck was about the only thing I liked with Sentry.

@TBM....awesome X-men shots. That Banshee is so unsightly though. At least you made him look somewhat decent. Okay, I'll say it. I would gladly take a new Banshee.

Is the Red Onslaught wave suppose to turn up on BBTS anytime soon? I'd rather get it there since I have store credit I can use.

I'm also hoping the list isn't final, or maybe at-least there's a possible wave 2.

The real Jean Grey is back... but she's a teenage time-misplaced version. Long story, but the original 5 X-men are all brought to the modern-day future. Lots of neat storytelling, with some timey-wimey aspects thrown in. This young version of Jean is currently in the new Extraordinary X-men title.

Hasbro was asked about the infamous "Gals in Green" (Rogue, Polaris, and Enchantress) at NYCC during an interview. Dwight's tongue-in-cheek response was "Green's my favorite color."

Rogue...Hulk..Abomination....sigh...Sorry just trying to not be too expectant, especially after the rumored list.
