@Dark
I wish you could see the wall to wall grin on my face right now! lol Damn, we do have a lot of parallels between us...Since our bonafides are out the way...How do you not agree with me about Will? You're right, nearly everyone was hittin' back then and I never suggested that he wasn't popular...he was just 'gah-bage' from a lyrics and flow standpoint. Respecting someone's skills is a separate matter entirely from trend or popularity...Did Large Professor ever come out with that solo album?!?! lol ...also, a "fan like myself" doesn't imply any pecking order or superiority...it means "someone who was not a fan of party-rap." I suppose I should have typed that, oh well. The best thing about 'our' era...was that we had choices. ...also, Cool C: Glamorous Life...you'll remember it once you see the video...and both he an Steady B are murderous curs that deserved what they got and more. However, their songs are a part of my childhood...in spite of my not being from Philly. ...and also, stop bitin' KRS' steez...or if you're gonna do that, at least do it in full and say "WE ARE HIP-HOP" like the other disciples of his Temple of Hip-Hop Kulture...although I'm a bit of a rogue follower in that I've always disliked "Hip-Hop" as a term and pattern shift. As much as I loved Teddy Riley...I blame him and BBD for the sensationalized/commercial/pop transition from "rap" to "hip-hop"...worse things have happened to the genre, but I place a great deal of the dilution of the music within that time period. It will always be 'RAP' to me... Oh yeah, toys...Marvel...new releases...speculation...pics ![]() |

Thanks for the compliment on the picture, everyone!
Yes, as soon as you started posting pictures I started tracking this figure down and I'm not disappointed. It's a really good figure. A lot of ToyBiz figures can still hold their head high today, like you said Green Goblin is another one of those figures. It comes as close to perfection as you can possibly get. |

it would be nice to have A single new figure or two out of eight though. I'm not asking for an entirely new wave of never done before figures..just one or two would be great. That's not directed at your comment specifically, just the latest one of the X-Men TF comments.

I'm literally setting cash aside for this X-Men wave. Just the simple fact that that Rogue is in the wave gives me hopes that some other much needed characters/costumes are there as well.
I'll go bonkers if Jim Lee Cyclops is there. |

Could very well be one of the best waves we've ever seen in my opinion, I'm a little overly excited.... to the point where if it's just a rumor I'm going to be disappointed in every other wave that comes out this year.

@Exodus
Yeah, there are some gangsta rappers who I've enjoyed. I was young and hadn't grasped the inherent danger that this type of rap represented to the community and youthful impressionable minds. The gangta rappers I listened to tended to be on the East Coast....Kool G Rap, Jadakiss, Styles P, Black Moon, Smif n Wessun (couple of songs), Mobb Deep. Eventually, I moved on...as you get older it becomes harder to reconcile your support of music that glorifies lifestyles/attitudes you don't agree with and work to combat. The era of music that Dark and I were referring to had many more voices than are enjoyed today...it's a shame. Like Dark said, there was more fun to be had and variety. |

That still doesn't look accurate to the toy.
Like I said above, it still doesn't look accurate. Did they change anyone else's costumes between seasons? I'm only halfway through Season 2 but I had to take a break because of how stupid the season was getting. Granted, it has been a 6 month break, but still, a break nonetheless. Not sure what you're seeing but I'ts basically the exact same costume from the cartoon. You can even watch this youtube clip of his fight with Spidey. It is accurate. ![]() |
