@daetrin

I noticed it also and it's not just the shoulders. The biceps appear to be new sculpts that are smaller than the Bucky-cap buck. All of these details, in conjunction with new swap-out forearms/hands, make for an all-new arm that seems to lie between the thin Spider Man buck and the bulkier Bucky-cap buck. I mentioned it when it was revealed, but you're the first to note a similar observation. Initially, I also believed the mid-section to be tweaked in the area of the rib cage. However, your side-by-side makes me uncertain if that is the case. Good eye.

...I think I said this to you the last time I addressed a comment to you, but it'd be awesome if they made a Shroud fig

Ah yes, he does seem to have bigger shoulders! That's a very nice touch. Iron Fist does deserve an in-between body size, but I'm very impressed that they thought so too. This might be my definitive Danny Rand figure, it's beautiful!

Oh and TBM, I completely missed that X-Classics photograph you took! What an odd series of figures that was. Part comic, part semi-comic, and part who-the-hell-knows. I guess ToyBiz fancied designing a few costumes themselves? Would love a revisited X-Treme Rogue at some point, though I'll probably be the only one in that camp.. Always loved that variant Bishop head, but never bought the figure because I didn't recognise the costume from any storyline. Can anyone help me out with that one?
Oh and, cat Beast. I love me some cat Beast! Some decry that design to the ends of the earth, but I think his feline appearance adds to his charm. Here's hoping that Hasbro eventually sizes up those two 3.75" figures (his modern version and the recent, classic figure) to the 6", they would look spectacular on ML scale!

I also have trouble placing the Kitty figure shown.
People have said it's the female teenage mold with some remolds/new parts, but as far as I can see, the abdomen is different, which is one of the few parts that wouldn't need changing. I am basing this on the assumption that the belly button seems more pronounced than any of the figures I have lying around in my vicinity.

A Shroud figure is one of my biggest wants!!! ... but I'm afraid to mention him. I mean, everyone is always mentioning Monica Rambeau, Amora, Dazzler, Polaris, Stature and let's not forget the Blue Marvel. Those figures have been on my and other peoples wish lists for years and are still nowhere nearer than rumours about "a shade of green in 2017".
I just try not to mention them lest I jinx it...
Like I didn't mention a Miles with a functioning neck-joint! WOOOT
I did however mention Kate Bishop should have double jointed elbows and a better bow, and look where that got us.
That's why at the moment it's costing me every ounce of self control to not mention the male teenage buck as the perfect opportunity for a New Mutants box set... Doh!

^^ I am going to buy 5 Kittys and 3 Miles and make the New Mutants myself if I have to! Good shout on the double jointed elbows, too. I have no idea why Hasbro doesn't give them to female bucks! Hawkeye has troubles holding a bow & arrow correctly at the best of times, so who knows how Kate Bishop will manage..

Also, those characters you mentioned would be the single greatest wave (with Stature being the BAF). Does anyone think we could see a Dazzler figure sneak into an Avengers wave, since she is now a member of A-Force? Same for Beast, Cannonball and Sunspot.

I would love a New Mutants set on those teen bucks. We should also get an updated Bucky on a teen buck. The one from that Brood Queen wave from a few years ago looks awful. He needs an update. We might get some more Young Avengers and Runaways, or at least I hope we do. The possibilities are endless!

I don't know how you guys set up your displays. But I have multiple teams of figures. I have the ML Colossus in the 90's X-Men display and I have X-Men Classic Colossus in my Astonishing display. I need another one for my 70's-80's display.

Still catching up on Toyfair news: I wonder what the unannounced BAFS will be, and I wonder why they didn't announce them. From their previous comments they were really excited about the X-Wave BAF, so I won't deny I find it kind of odd no reveal. I wonder if we'll have to wait until SDCC to find out what it is, might be since the wave apparently doesn't hit til the fall.

I thought I read that the X-Men wave is coming out late Spring/early Summer. I feel like SDCC would be too late for them to announce the BAF for that wave. I could be wrong, there was a lot going of for me this weekend. I'm still catching up on the Toy Fair news too.

Could be. The movie is the end of May so it would fit the time table. I'm still betting the BAF is Apocalypse.

Maybe, I kind of stopped reading that much after the X-Wave reveal, just the final notes. Wasn't the Deadpool preview announced as "coming this fall?" That is where I got that from. Sooner is better of course. I'd like to get that Rogue ASAP.

Everything I saw on the X-Men wave was May/June timeframe. I am super bummed they didn't show the BAF for this.

I didn't see any of that; only thing I saw regarding the X-Men wave was the 'fall' release mentioned with the Deadpool reveal.

True but they need retail stores to sell them Such as Walmart, Target, Kmart etc but those stores do not sell figures like that and the new ML Deadpool is not the movie figure. 'DJengo, and Breaking Bad figures were not sold in those major stores because they were not children based movies. It hasn't stopped retailers like Target or Wal-Mart from selling the Deadpool figure before, but back then he was only tied to a comic book. Now that his role in this film is going to be true-to-character, they'll understand how sick and twisted he is - will they still promote a toy line?

@Von

I figured any pics I posted would have been ignored due to Toy Fair excitement. Those X-men figs are odd-balls that display better with each other than in other set-ups. I'm with you on another Extreme Rogue with "Sage-tech" goggles. I actually like all of those figs a lot and would have posted more pics, but I'm having terrible problems with Photobucket.

@Daetrin

I am officially starting my campaign for Blue Marvel, just as you should start your requests for the Shroud lol

I think that Kitty may sport many recycled parts with only the shoulders and upper-body reflecting a new sculpt. Of course, the head is new. Speaking of the face sculpt, I like the puffy cheeks. Everyone can't have vogue angular faces, sunken cheeks, and puckered lips.

I think she's definitely one of the highlights of this wave. Wish she came with swappable heads like what we were discussing last week but it is what it is....

Unrelated to your post: I'm really trying to talk myself into getting this whole wave. THey really do all look great, I just don't feel I'm needing any of the figures beyond Rogue....so conflicted. I feel like I should just spend the money to support the wave in hopes Hasbro might throw out one new figure in their next X-wave. I won't deny being very disappointed in the fact of not a single new figure, but I'm not disappointed with how any of the figures turned out, if that makes sense. I'm just trying to get my positivity back up after what was, for me, a fairly disappointing weekend.

I'm down for the whole wave. I'm a die hard X-Men fan. My first tattoo was the X-Men "X" (red and black version) on my arm. I'm excited that I get to replace the Giant Man Series Kitty now and I might even replace the old Havok too.

Target sells Sons of Anarchy Pop! Vinyls and has a whole display of Marvel Pop!s where Deadpool is advertised prominently. Breaking Bad figures (along with other series/films of that level of maturity) are sold regularly at Toys R Us. Hell, the 6" DC Comics Multiverse Joker figure has a skinned-off face mask as an accessory. To say nothing of the M-rated video game merch sold in the toy sections of numerous stores.

Pret-ty sure that Deadpool isn't going to be a stumbling block to selling the figure, especially since he's nestled in a standard Marvel Legends wave. As for the possibility of a Deadpool line or lack thereof, well, that's already been pointed out - movie-based figures for properties currently held by Fox won't get produced, since Disney/Marvel Studios would have to give them a major chunk of the profits.

That tattoo sounds pretty awesome.

Yeah I'm probably going to end up getting the whole X-Wave, since the only other figures I'm wanting out of the reveals are Namor, CA: CW Panther and Scarlet Witch, and Silk, I really can't see me getting so few figures for the next 6-9 months (however long it takes for the next reveals to hit and release). There may be something from the Dr. Strange wave I'm wanting too after the whole wave is revealed - but not enough to get the BAF. I think that BAF is a great idea for those who did not get last years SDCC Exclusive, but if you do have it, I don't really see the need..
