Maybe when my income tax gets here i might buy something. There was also a huge Lobo statue i thought was nice too but that was $700..

Yeah, unfortunately there's a few figures that I was missing in the 6 inch line that I realized I wanted but a bit too costly for me to really go for them. Although I am missing a few in the 3.75 sort of but they're not a must have...and the 6 inch line takes up more room to for me :P

Haha yeah for TF I only go for the certain on as well, mostly going with MP's right now and combiner's.

Haha I did a few sideshow statues myself, but that is way out of my price range and space too, so I got out of it.

I'm quite happy that I got out of comics!!! Especially at the prices they are currently.

I was quite aware of this issue, but upon arriving in my room, turns out that due to my ceiling light, the different greens are BARELY or even, not, noticeable at all. So I am one happy man.

Finally finished up my second Black Panther custom...a 2.0 version if you will. Not all that different from my original, just used some different paint techniques, a lone with adding a few more gold accents and a change of jewelry from the previous one. Considering the hell it put me through (I broke one of my bucks trying to re-attach an arm,) I'm really glad how it turned out. Now bring on the MCU version!

Also...got this in the mail today...another blast from Toy Biz's past....

Nice job Trivial!
Though I'm partial to the costume Hasbro gave us, your custom has a nice balance of added detail to it.

On another note:

How about a three-pack in the not too distant future containing the new SHIELD agent and the Mandroid wave HYDRA and AIM soldiers?
I know HASBRO have said they don't feel confident enough to release army builder sets, but will they be convinced this third time around when they see that new Nick Fury being once again a highly sought after figure, purely for the purpose of army building?

I sure hope they consider taking the risk.
And that it works out.
And then we can talk again about the success of both the X-wave and the army builder three-pack, and discuss the next phase!
A three pack of a Hellfire Club soldier, Jamie Madrox and a Shi'ar soldier.

A guy can dream right?!?

edit: Might be biased because I live in the Netherlands which means all ML shopping is done online, but from the moment the Kree/Skrull box hit eBay it sold for ridiculous amounts of money, which always made it seem to me like it would probably not be much of a pegwarmer.

I would definitely be interested in army builder sets, as I have said many times in the past. A 3 pack like that would be great!

Honestly, I think the big issue with army builder boxes is that Hasbro thinks they need to sell them in physical stores. If they made it an HTS exclusive (so long as there are options for non-US buyers) item and did small runs at first to gauge interest, I think they might be surprised just how well they do. They already sell their items on their own shop so why not actually utilize it for things like this? Hell, why not utilize it for doing re-runs of prior wave figures? If the figure was exactly the same as the prior wave, then loose collectors would not really care about it. I for one would be fine with them selling me loose figures in a plastic bag so long as it meant I got a shot at some figures I missed for regular price instead of psychotic ebay prices. Of course this is all dependent on what their contracts are with Marvel as well.

I was super lucky to snag both Taskmaster and Mockingbird this past week, especially given that 85% off what I've found otherwise is Caps (with the occasional Cottonmouth).

That said, anyone looking to unload the BAF parts that come with Cap, Sharon Carter, and Cottonmouth? I plan on getting Whirlwind and Demolition Man/Scourge, so that leaves me with just the right arm, right leg, and back armor to get.

I have a question for anyone that can help me...

Are there any pistols from other action figures that are in stores similar to the ones that come with The First Avenger Nick Fury? I do not display that figure anymore because I like the 3 pack figure better. I use his pistols for my short hair Avengers Black Widow, but need similar pistols for my long hair Winter Soldier Black Widow. Does anyone have any suggestions? If I have to buy another Nick Fury I will, I just figured since a lot of you all are great with customizing and making your displays look SWEET, you could help me out. I would really appreciate the help, thanks.

I like to use the handguns that came with Hit Monkey for the MCU Black Widow. Those same guns were cast in silver for the Agent Venom figure, and I use those for MCU Maria Hill and Sharon Carter.
The angle is slightly different and I like the way they hold them.

The guns you are referring to are the half silver/half black ones?
Same mold that was used for the Maria Hill/Iron Man two pack and the MCU Agents of Shield three pack?

You can also check out the casting sites. I think Clay Or Not Customs has some cast in black right now.

Yes, they are half silver and half black. She used them in The Avengers and The Winter Soldier, and I don't know if it's my OCD or what but I have to display her with those guns...LOL.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I truly appreciate it.

We go over this topic all the time, but it never gets old, as this struggle is real.... *smiles

Clayorrnot Customs is starting to build a nice collection of weapons, but Casting Cave is still where it's at. Casting Cave has been running specials on a lot of their weapons as of late, and he's been coming out with some really awesome new SMGs as well. I recently picked up their UMP-45 and was blown away by the detail the cast held. They also have some new ones just added this week (like the Mac10! Finally!)

I know Nitelife...he's still all disco-ey, but T'Challa can't help it! He's out on the streets at night, collecting more than the busted heads of crooks. He's taking names. He's taking numbers. He's fly....no...he's super fly. He's a pimp. He's a man of honor. He's a king. He's a macho man!

Is it sad that I just sat here and watched the entire video? It's time to leave the house and re-evaluate some things, LOL.

Thanks for the help, I'm checking out Clayorrnot Customs as we speak.

Speaking of Clay Orr Not Customs, if you do not mind a guy who likes to swear and occasionally belches while he's talking, Clay has some really useful videos on disassembling and reassembling Marvel Legends on his YouTube channel. Stumbled across it after (I believe) Trivial mentioned his casting stuff a few days back. Really useful videos for new customizers.

just wondering, i own 18 female marvel legends (and will own more as waves come out), and i dont see why people would want more females to a wave when people are shocked at the price tag for ML , i mean half of them cant move their heads up or down and some cant even turn their head left to right due to their hair, and the biggest problem i see with them is their abs and waist, cant crunch in at all and the waist cant turn, i mean yes they are nice to display and look at if they are all in a group poses, but for action display poses they fail. and for getting your moneys worth i think the males are better to buy for the price. not saying i dont like getting female characters, just wondering why some people want more of them in a wave. my bad for the rant just thought id bring this up.

That's a tough one to answer.
For one, I don't think any of your arguments have ever been a deciding factor for me.
Pricing has always been a funny thing. I've only ever been able to get ML's through online stores. If anything, the difference cost-wise between US collectors and me for both shipping and the prices of the actual items have crept closer and closer together.
Always made me laugh/cry when people said: Remember when you could buy Toy Biz ML's for a nickel an a used piece of gum?!? Because they were never available to me for less than $25,-
As far as articulation goes, in general, female ML's tend to have a lot of the same problems regarding hair, elbows and torso. So, in my opinion, do almost all Iron Man and Warmachine ML's and almost every character bigger than the Hyperion mold. Remember when someone thought it was a good idea for ankles not to move... Glad that is a thing of the past.
As far as why I buy a certain (or any) ML. Because I like the character. Easy as that. That's why, even though I think Ultimate Beetle, Morbius, Scourge and most of the MCU figures look great, they will never be a part of my collection.
That's why my request for more female figures will always be character driven. I need to complete certain stories or memories.

so in the stories the females just stand there facing forward? of the time xD, but seriously til they give females ab crunch i prefer one or two a wave, i mean if they took away the BaF's then it wouldnt bother me too much having 3 or 4 a wave but, needing to complete a baf and having to buy 3 or even 4 figures that can barely move kinda sucks. am i the only one here that has a problem with how they are made?

Posting this just because everyone is using this term now: what you own aren't "bucks." A "buck" is a block that has holes in it, that they build an action figure around. It's not a figure. What you're trying to articulate is that one of the *figures* or *bodies* you were using in the custom broke.

This article explains what a buck is, about halfway down:
