I recall reading somewhere last year they were supposed in the works for that, i remember they did a poll for him and other characters and i THOUGHT he won. I also can not understand for the life of me, why the hell they made an ultimate spider-man.... i understand Miles but ultimate peter why? |

sounds ideal !! YES !! since getting into Legends last year, i have been patiently waiting for a black costume spidey figure. As you said, they need the white mark on his hands, also a face where the symbiote is pulling back. that is if they were to decide to do that. One - If they put him in a separate wave, even more more people might go: "Huh?!?" Two - Now they can sell him not just as "teenage Peter", but also as "Ultimate Peter". Double the appeal. |

Yeah, Ultimate Peter is kinda baffling to me, too. I guess it's cool for if people want a younger Spidey but it's probably one of those things where Hasbro needed the obligatory Spidey for a Spider-Man wave and ran out of ideas outside of just straight up doing black costume Spider-Man.

Probably because of Miles. If they wanted to release him, seeing as he is a repaint without extra cost, putting him in the same wave as Miles makes sense to me.

1. Remember, for many of our younger collectors, as well as generation, Ultimate Spider-Man was their first experience with a comic book. The Ultimate universe was created primarily as a way to draw in new readers with fresh takes on the characters, who might have otherwise might have been turned away from the long and often complicated back stories and histories of already established characters. It also breathed a breath of fresh air into Marvel, as many of the characters were redesigned (Nick Fury), or given entirely new attitudes or character traits (Captain America and Hawkeye are great examples) not to mention the storytelling at the time was hitting it out of the park. Ultimate Spider-Man, X-men, The Ultimates, and even Fantastic 4 were all amazing reads. 2. The Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon on Disney has been very successful, and soon will become the longest running Spider-Man cartoon ever, if it already hasn't surpassed the Fox one. I haven't done an exact episode count, but I know the show has already been on for quite a while, and has to be close. 3. Most importantly, we were told by Hasbro that we will be receiving alternative heads for Miles and Peter right, yet we were not shown anything on the Toy Fair showroom floor. For all we know, Hasbro has thrown us a red herring, and the alternate head for Ultimate Spider-Man will be one in the likeness of Tom Holland, who has been seen sporting the same haircut as the Peter from the Ultimate comic series on the set of Civil War. |

For anyone who owns Carnage, do you think he is worth what he is going for on ebay new now a days (30-40 bucks)? I've always been a fan of Carnage, and want the character in my comic collection (Toybiz Venom, Agent Venom, Spider Gwen, Taskmaster).

if he is costing too much why dont you just buy a bootleg one, just try to find him in a lot or just keep checking til you find a cheap loose one, (i brought mine last year the prices changed a bit since then tho)

Unfortunately, I am one of those hard headed people who like having the boxes :/ As tempting as it may be for Carnage, I rather stay away from KOs. Too bad the Marvel Select is too tall.

true but i mean if u spend say like 15 on a bootleg , and later u find one with a box cheap, u can just custom the KO one into another symbiote , i think its better then getting a toybiz one, just saying, i mean i dont buy the knock off ones either but they made a ko of luke cage, thunderball, or magik hell yea i would.

I think the reasoning is rather simple.

If they don't go with the original costume, I honestly would not be surprised if it's something a little closer to Alex Ross's original design (which they have been fawning over for years.) I know that they sort of did that as well with ASM, but if they go that route again, the costume will have more black. I still think in the end though, it will be the Spidey we know and love... I know I'm just stroking a fire between rumor and desire, but I just have something in my gut that tells me the new Ultimate Spidey figure will feature a head sculpt that bears a strong likeness to Tom Holland...without actually being Tom Holland...kind of like the Chris Evans heads on the MCU Cap figures... I also did an episode count on Spider-man cartoons, and Ultimate Spider-Man does indeed have a higher episode count than the previous Fox one, making it the longest running and perhaps most successful cartoon series featuring the wall crawler thus far. Last year, a lot of eBay listings had bootlegs in official boxes. Some people right... I just checked, and Kapow still have him in stock. Don't know how that works out for you costwise. https://www.kapowtoys.co.uk/marvel-l...e-carnage.html |

Definite red herring there. Until a photo shows up or a leak goes out, I'm not buying the whole "newly designed costume" nonsense that Marvel and Disney is throwing at us. Especially after the reception the redesigned "Amazing Spider-Man" costume got from fans, which was generally negative among diehards who couldn't get past his silver ballet slippers. I had no particular opinion in the matter, and it grew on me, but honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of it. Not having the classic belt design is what killed it for me. It looked better in the licensed video game though, once they added the belt back on, and if they had gone with that...I would have probably liked it more myself.

If you want to be 100% sure you don't get a bootleg, look very carefully at the pictures provided.

Sincerely, if you can get it shipped cheap or freely, either new or in the tray without the BAF part, 30 bucks isn't too bad. It's about what I paid for him when it first came out. |

I'd say just be patient, and stalk Ebay. I grabbed a new one off Ebay last week for 29 and some change.
