Since everyone was talking head swaps and customs, it got me thinking of more ways to get some life out of my fodder. I've always thought that the ToyBiz Black Cat was actually one of the better female headsculpts to come out of those years, so I decided to dremel an old unused head in my bin, and see how it would work on the newer BC...
![]() While the skin tone is a little off...with a little tinkering, I think it actually makes for a pretty good alternate head. The hair falls rather nicely onto the shoulders, and has more of a classic early 90's, big haired, Mark Bagley look to it than the newer one. Best part, while it's not as pretty as the newer headsculpt, the classic Toybiz version gives the appearance of an older, more mature Felicia, and is not completely hideous to boot. |

It looks ok, I just hate the way the hair is stuck to the face in the front. I love the new BC. |

We don't know the full Spider Man or Strange line up, or at least have been shown sculpts of them. Maybe that's the one you meant? |

So, fellow Arkers, I'm having a bit of a conundrum, and I could use some input.
I've been kinda-sorta trying to complete the Blob BAF, and thus far I've got 3/8 of the figure (head, upper torso, left arm). But I'm actually losing interest for a number of reasons: - The figure is gonna be pretty big, and right now space is a bit of an issue - The sculpt, while impressive, is also a bit... gross - I'm not as interested in Blob as a character, as I am in having whatever X-villains I can get - The prices for his remaining parts are pretty ridiculous (I'm actually watching an auction for X3 Juggernaut just so I can get the hands for under $50) So I gotta ask you guys, given these reasons, would it be a better use of my time to try and sell/trade the pieces I do have? Or is there enough to like about the figure that I should keep going? Again, with the prices being what they are, it's also making me wonder if I should just put it off until we're in a better state (financially and space-wise), and just try to buy the completed figure. It doesn't seem like it would be much more expensive than trying to complete him. I figured they'd save them for SDCC reveals.

To the first, I dont' own the Blob and never had an interest in completing that BAF, and as most know I'm a huge X-men fan. I would have gotten him if he weren't a BAF but to be honest I just didn't care enough to get the whole wave. Which is really odd considering I have almost the entire wave (only missing Ultimate Wolverine and Thor.) So that probably tells you my opinion on pass/sell or complete. ![]() To the second comment, yeah I'm pretty sure they saved them for SDCC reveals and they're second half of 2016 waves. Maybe we'll also see if there's another wave or two coming in second half of this year (we should be so lucky to maybe get a second X-wave filling out most of the rest of the basic characters)...and maybe some sneak peak at 2017 stuff (GOTG2 and early Thor stuff --FTLOG show us an Enchantress hint Hasbro..it's way past time.) |

He's a keeper for me, I'll never sell him, cause I doubt they will ever make another. Plus the Brotherhood just wouldn't look the same without Blob in the back. |

It doesn't seem like it would be much more expensive than trying to complete him. I could have told you that "parting-out" that particular BAF was going to be expensive. Acquiring any of the more rare, or more sought after BAF's is going to cost you a pretty penny in the aftermarket. In those cases, I always look at "completed" auctions. You can usually find a reasonable price ($60?) if you practice both patience and diligence while conducting your search. The one caveat I offer in favor of moving forward is that once the X-wave hits the going rate for the Blob BAF will be even more exorbitant. But you know how the game works and don't need me to remind you... EDIT: Holy Shit! I just read the prices for the blob online. That's not worth it. Sorry, I had no idea. lol I would sit on the parts and let this bubble burst. Eventually, when the fig is more reasonably priced, finish it or sell them. I'd never buy one at that price. Have you tried joining any Facebook groups. They can be a good source for parts. Sometimes the people can be a pain in the ass, but you'll find what you need cheaper. |

Wow, Blob goes for that much? Sometimes I think I should sell everything lol. Last time I checked, Dragon Man was catching a pretty penny too. The lowest I saw on Ebay was $600.

We basically do know the X-Men line up. The only one not shown was Wolverine. I think it's because it's a repack and nothing to get excited about, but they could be surprising us with X-23verine which would be awesome.

Havok was the sixth figure for the wave shown at NYTF. I believe he was in his Uncanny Avengers costume. I doubt Wolverine will be a repack. Hasbro has never repacked older figures with the exception of Thunderbolts Punisher (a repaint of regular Punisher) and First Avenger Captain America (fans begged for it because it was hard to find). My guess is that Wolverine will either be the X-23 version or just a brown and tan repaint of the X-Force Wolverine.

SO yes, Rogue, Kitty, Deadpool, Cable, Phoenix, Havok, Iceman and the unrevealed Wolverine. Edit; also what jwyss234 said....except I disagree I think it's possible Wolverine will be a straight up repack which is why they weren't pushing to show him. |

Just curious, what exactly makes the Blob's hands such a high-ticket item? I ask because I practically give these things away for free about a year or two ago. Was it because the Juggernaut figure was rare, or is it because nobody actually wants to go through the trouble of buying it because he's of the X3 association? It's really not that bad of a figure as far as Marvel Legends go, and actually fits in fairly well with the MCU figures.

I think there were two pretty large groups, ML Collecting and ML Collectors Group or something to that effect. If you type in ML I'm sure it will show those with around 10K members on one and maybe 5K on the other. I left them a while back.
