Civil War figures are available at one of the Walmarts I go to ...
... which also happens to be the only Walmart I go to that still has ML's for $19.99 instead of $15.96. Figures.

Since i missed the hb wave i hope i can somehow nab this one.

How much did you get the Storm for if you don't mind me asking?

So on Amazon today the X-Men wave popped up for roughly $250 - it does not appear to be a preorder unlike other listings I've seen, which is kind of weird but maybe it's true? -- There is now a possibility we are relocating at the end of this month, way before expectation but that's not confirmed yet. In my shoes what would advice be - should I go ahead and do it to get it before the move or just wait for the BBTS and set a different address (I'm not even sure I can do that?) It would be an extra $100 but if it's not incorrect and it's not a preorder I would have it within a few days.

Oh the link here is https://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Legend...=x-men+legends

Order it XD !!! i dunno you might get lucky ... also you can get a refund if its not the thing you ordered... also you can change your address on amazon to the new one if you re-locate , Send the seller a message before buying to clarify he\she haves it in stock, or any questions you have

Yeah I asked them (allow 2 days for response at which point it'll probably be gone lol) . I know it's crazy expensive but it's also a really odd situation, I would almost really rather pay the extra $100 and not have the hassle/worry. If they do have it in I might just cancel all my BBTS and hope for the best with the other product on order, but I really want this X-wave (which is odd since I was so "meh" on it.)

Thanks for the advice!

I'd go for it if you have the cash. Worst thing that can happen is you get something B.S. and you can get the money back from Amazon

I would definitely not pay more.
I know, I know ... here he goes again ... but I am a big fan of both Dorkside and Kapow and I have a great customer relationship with them.
I live overseas which means shipping can be very unpredictable.
Whenever I see a potential problem, I contact them and we work something out. I have the nicest contact persons!
When we moved and I had pre-orders open, they shipped them to a family members address. When we went on a long vacation and I was worried the parcels would be undeliverable, they held on to them a little while longer. I could go on and on about them both.

If you want to, go for it, but my guess is you can save yourself a lot of unnecessary costs by just reaching out and getting some customer support.

Yeah I'm definitely gonna wait until I hear back from them at least. I mean, if it's just they forgot to put up it's a preorder and it's August there is no point in me paying the extra. I would feel safer with BBTS for sure of course because they're a trusted company for me but well, we'll see. Thanks all for the input. I'll let you all know what I do. Heck by the time they get back to me they may have already sold the two they have "available" and it'll be a moot point.

Speaking of that new X-Men wave, I'm trying to fill in the few holes that will be present when those figures arrive (that wave and the rumored wave with Cyclops).

Is it a good idea to pick up ToyBiz Beast and/or Nightcrawler or are the odds of Hasbro doing new versions of them decently high? I have to admit, at the very least they'd probably have better articulation, though I'm not the biggest fan of Kurt's head sculpt.

Honestly I see no reason at all to need a new Beast. He's perfect. But they will probably eventually do him as he is a core X-Man...although, his furriness could prevent a problem; though they've done a couple Beast figures already. Nightcrawler from TB is decent but I'd wait.

Honestly of core X-Men I think both Beast and Colossus are the already perfect offerings from TB so they're the only ones I'd say definitely just get from TB - and hah, we're rumored to get a Colossus from the next wave.

I personally like the X-men Classics versions of Beast and Nightcrawler over the Marvel Legends ones. Nightcrawler has that neat light up gimmick that doesn't effect the articulation at all, and while Beastie has that Metal Gear inspired outfit, it actually works pretty well for him, as I can honestly see him wearing something like that for a mission, plus the classic variant comes with the fold up chest laptop that screams 90's Beast. I have the cat version of that figure personally (which I might be in the minority, but is my favorite overall look Beast has had over the years) and it's one of my favorite X-men figures to date.

Only thing for me is that I grew up with Beast with just the black trunks and Nightcrawler with the red black and white so that's ideally the version of the characters I'd like to have.

Although technically, yeah the X-Men Classics figures have a much better likeness.

I thought about Colossus too, but I figured I'd wait to see how that one turns out first before making a decision. ToyBiz Colossus isn't hard to find for a reasonable price so I can afford to wait a bit.

I thought if it's only fulfilled by Amazon could you get your $ back? Or is it just more of a hassle if it's not fulfilled by Amazon to get the return?

Alright, heard back from the vendor. False alert, they won't have them til August either. Glad I didn't go for it, will just stick with BBTS and figure out a change of address if needed. It may not even be needed but we'll see. Thanks again all for the advice.

Speaking as someone who's not the biggest fan of the TB Marvel Legends, I'd say that, while they might be a couple waves off, waiting will likely pay off. Both of the blue boys are popular, and in regular books right now, so the odds of them seeing new figures soon are pretty decent. That said, if you've got a good deal on them, I don't see why you shouldn't grab them - you can always flip them later. Kurt's only real drawback, IMO, is the headsculpt, same as you (needs more jovial!Kurt), and Hank just has that over-sculpting and over-paint wash thing I personally don't like with TB Marvel Legends.

And the X-Men Classics Kurt is the Ultimate version anyway, so he's just a creepy creeperson.

Nash..I woulda suggested you wait...(I know it's a moot point now) ....I'm always better at giving advice than I am adhering to my own...I'm the WORST when it comes to action figures...SMH...

and..

I snagged these four for $ 20.00 total.

The three on the right are figs i just refused to buy for anything more than 10.00. Made out pretty good. Sometimes my patience works.
I really like Reapers face...he looks type: nuts.
..and I've passed up wasp a bajillion times...I actually like her figure.

Decent score!!! Yeah that Wasp is great - so much better than the TB one. But Grimmy was my favorite from that wave, they really made him look completely insane.

i hope they make another storm , im not a fan of the mohawk on her , she looks good , but yeah not my cup of tea ... if she came with a swappable head with her hair down or something , then i would , think were likely to see a 90's version , be grand for me if it was x-treme x-men one , but who knows thats a very slim chance which might need to be comissioned.

Edit: with a new beast i would like a maybe a one with longer shorts or something rather than speedos did consider getting the TB one but i think his arms puts me off each time they seem long

I love the mohawk costume, very majestic in my opinion, but I wouldn't object to a new 90s version as well. My first human action figure was a 90s Storm figure in her black costume.

That old Toy Biz Beast was one of the first X-Men figures I picked up when I started collecting ML. He's fan-freakin'-tastic! He's really poseable and the sculpting is really nice! You should try to track one down.

Funny enough, I was eyeing a $25 Beast last night on eBay, but hesitated on it. About an hour later, one went up for $17, so I decided to get it.

Can't wait to add another addition to my quite pitiful X-Men collection lol
