Pretty absurdly happy about wave two, especially the alternate head for Black Widow. Will buy all.

Not a huge fan on Captain America but these I must say are getting my money mostly because of the following
A shield Mandroid BAF - that's already sold it to me wanted one for a stop-motion story but they never built one , and a custom would be more expensive
-Black widow movie figure FTW finally
-Re-make of Red Skull / movie figure, Where was he hiding ???
-Hydra Goon and Aim Goon (Hydra- remake is nice, no screaming mouths)Aim is another I've been waiting for .
-Baron F&*% Zemo :'D loving these villians more and more
-Winter solider was kinda of a let down not as good as the comic version.
- Captain America movie, hating the colour scheme of the shield but liking the suit , maybe change him to a shield agent...
- Captain America WW2 and MN dont appeal to me that much

The other great Fantastic thing about these figures is Blast from The Past as i like to call it ... Which is The Swappable heads & Hands :'D Kinda Like the Iron man figures. Although Upset we didn't get any Thor 2 figures at all. Then again we only got like 3 from the first film ... which were comicy and one movie figure maybe in a third Thor if they make one- my verdict pretty much

Well, at least we have confirmation on the BAF distribution for Cap 2:

Marvel Now Cap: Head
Agents of A.I.M.: Right Arm
Agents of Hydra: Left Arm
Black Widow: Torso
CA2 Cap: Right Leg
CA2 WS: Left Leg

Non-BAF: WWII Cap

I wonder how easy it would be to sell off loose versions of MN, CA2 Cap, WS and BW without the BAF pieces, assuming one was going to try to army-build Mandroids. Or just the spare BAF arms from the Agents figures, if he/she just wanted a complete set. Kinda makes me wish RS and BZ had gotten their own separate release and the two Agent figures were the ones with a swap package (and no BAF part).

I think I'll get more or less all of these figures and buy the other 4 baf parts on ebay perhaps depends if someone doenst want a mandroid in their collection i'd happily buy them just thought of having double figures the same kinda annoys me might sell them not sure

One thing to note is that at this point in time, the IM3 Iron Monger BAF is being sold complete by some overseas sellers for $39 or less... give it some time and I'd imagine the same will happen to the Mandroid fig.

Usually there's a handful of overseas sellers that get their hands on ML figures first. They sell the baf parts, weapons, bases and figures separately to maximize their profits as ppl will get into bidding wars of baf pieces or a loose figure. They often end up as BIN auctions, for inflated prices. Be patient and don't give in yet.But if you can't wait, you can buy some now but they're $30-50/figure!!!,limited weapons and no baf parts being sold yet from what I can find. Once they hit most major retailers/etailers the prices drop and you can snag loose figures and baf parts from $1-10/piece.

While I believe all of this to be true, the cost of a Mandroid will be more than the Iron Monger simply based on the cost of the 6 figures. I don't know if that will affect the overseas pricing or not, but Monger being $30 or less now may not necessarily be the same price for a Mandroid after the same amount of time

I have to say I am not too happy how Hasbro is handling the ML line. They increase the price but the product is getting worse in my opinion. Plus I have not seen any new figures in the stores for the past year..

I usually don't like to post "I just bought this!" type posts, but I'd have to say the Hasbro Toy Shop holiday sale allowed me to pick up a boat load of Legends figures I was ready to skip on due to price. Wrecker, Jean Grey, Black Panther, and 2 MU figures for under $60 shipped was amazing. I'm looking to hold off on buying anything till year end if this sale becomes an annual thing.

And because of that HTS seems the best choice in getting them...assuming they don't sell out.

If you're referring to how the faces and heads of the recent figures are looking, I agree, but part of the Hasbro mandate right now is to include movie figures in the hope that big retailers will carry the line.

I wish every wave of ML was like the so far absent Jubilee wave, A, B and C listers from everywhere in the MU. Even though when that wave actually comes out, it's likely the last tame we'll see a wave like it.

But, back to my point. Only the HotToys scale figure catches all the detail (or most possible). With ML and smaller it's impossible. Even the prototypes for Mandarin and Black Widow didn't knock my socks off, so there's no way a mass produced version will be better, at least it hasn't happened yet. I'm to the point where I don't care if the face detail is perfect or not, and I definitely don't need to figs to look like the actors, just as long as they're in scale and have great posibility.

Hey Hasbro! Where the hell is my Jack of Hearts figure!? Lol

I'm not saying I don't care what the heads of the figures look like, I just never expected them to be bang on is all

It's not impossible to have amazing detail in a 6'' or smaller figure, it is however absurd and impossible for Hasbro to produce a figure of such quality without raping our wallets. However not sure if your familiar with Glassmancustoms, but he takes MU headsculpts upscales them to ML, takes ML and downscales them to MU, he also downscales HT sculpts to fit ML and MU. You can buy a RDJ headsculpt painted for a ML figure for $20!!! It looks so good, he always has an Agent Coulson, Black Widow, Bruce Banner etc... In the near year I plan on buying a bunch off him to help set my collection apart.

He's also a customizer and therefore does not have to obey all the toy safety laws, answer to stockholders, make deals with retailers, mass-produce his products in 4 or 5 digit increments (at a time) or pretty much anything that Hasbro has to do on a regular basis.

I'm sorry but there is just no comparing a customizer to a international toy manufacturer. It's apples and oranges all the way.

I do think that Hasbro could get an amazing amount of detail on a 3.75" figure if they they tried, but it would increase the R&D budget which would translate to a higher MSRP. However, Hasbro would not "rape" our wallets since they do not force us to do anything.

And honestly, I'm sick of people using that term haphazardly. It is not something that should be joked about or taken lightly. Sorry, pet peeve of mine.

Honestly, there's been some really good figures in the PoC and newer GI Joe figures, and they're 4" scale. But even with those its hit-or-miss.

Agreed. Which is why I think they could do things on the level of Hot Toys, but are unable to do so because of the way they budget things for mass retail. Which is part of the reason why higher end companies and customizers tend to "outshine" mass-market manufacturers in terms of quality and detail.

On the other hand, you'll never see a Hot Toys figure at Walmart.

To paraphrase, 'we get what we pay for'. So yes, I can't find it in myself to complain (with all my might) about ML when they don't knock it out of the park everytime. I just enjoy what I can when I can, and if there's a figure that comes out that doesn't meet my wants (open as they may be) I won't be buying them (IM3 Mandarin), but that's even more to do with how I didn't enjoy the character in the movie (and I'm a Ben Kingsley fan), but I can't envision that figure on my shelf and it does have something to do with how they tried to capture Ben, I just don't see it.

And if a lot of people see it the way I do, I'll end up grabbing it on the cheap way down the road because of the closet completionist in me lol

Six inch (6") figures are 1:12 or 1/12th scale. Twelve inch (12") figures are 1:6 or 1/6th scale.

And in case you ever want to know any other scales for toys and models:
