Well that sucks about the Electro. Dumb decision TBH but I will still get him. I am 50/50 on wanting Hobgoblin but I know I want Silk for sure....I guess the Captain America wave 3 is hitting now and the X-Men wave will be soon, the Spider-Man wave will hit last of the three?

I think Spidey is next? Honestly at this point I have no clue. Kind of what happens when you have three waves coming out at about the same time.

Yeah I did. They post on the fwoosh and he said they're getting about 15% of their shipment next week. I sent him a DM with my order # asking if my order would be fulfilled in that 15% and he said nope. I know some people that ordered from BBTS and Entertainment Earth who got their shipping notices so cancelled their orders with Dorkside. Hopefully that would increase my chances of getting my order but I doubt it.

I don't know if I can handle all these waves at once.

I was lucky enough to find Black Panther at my comic shop, but at all the other stores the only figure they have left from the Cape wave 2 is usually Red Guardian or the other non-movie guys. It's frustrating.

As far as handling all at once, i really didn't want EVERYONE in all these waves but a few from each. only wave im getting all of it would be the spider-man wave, which should be ready for delivery anytime now. |

For anyone interested, JayC already has a review up for the Eel up on his YouTube channel.
Not a terribly exciting figure, but I really dig the color scheme on it, especially on the electricity hands... In the review, he also states that he will be doing the upcoming Walgreens Punisher figure soon, which is a pretty good indicator we'll be seeing him in the upcoming month or so. Some of the recent legends LOOK nice. But when you get them it feels as if you have had them before due to the reused parts. EEL just feels like the Electro a bit too much. All the Captain Americas kind of blend in at this point.
It's sad when we are now seeing BAFS reused instead of being unique. Maybe it's too late to really ever receive a BAF that is in demand like a Sentinel, Foom and so on. They are saving even more money on reusing BAFS that it gets a little disappointing that they give us BAFS we don't really need. Abomination has been done nice by Toy Biz AND Select. We do not need a third one do we? Rhino also, and I know they both have an ab crunch, which is nice, but we did not need a new Rhino and Abomination. I just hope they are saving all that money in reusing BAFS that they will give us a Hulbuster sized figure again. Actually I want Foom. |

I just hope they are saving all that money in reusing BAFS that they will give us a Hulbuster sized figure again. Actually I want Foom. Continuity. Sure, there's a ton of parts/body reuse going on in this line, but as a result, it makes the line look generally uniform, with an aesthetic that maintains across all the figures. Also, parts reuse like this means that, when a particular character needs some unique parts, those can happen thanks to the overall money saved on the reused parts elsewhere. Need a specific gauntlet on a figure? Or some recognizable boots? A belt? Those can be added easily, since the figures take advantage of a roughly universal set of body molds. This is especially handy when doing the MCU versions of characters, since they require more individualized molds. As for why we may or may not "need" certain characters that have already been done, it's still continuity. I look at the TB Marvel Legends, and they exceptionally well-sculpted... to the point of overdoing it. So many figures have weird, rough textures on body parts that should be smooth (or smoother, at least)... not to mention how many characters (Juggernaut, Cable, etc) have giant veins popping out of their arms that are painted blue, like they've had some drug problems while suffering varicose. A number of figures suffer from poor engineering decisions (coughFALCONcough) that make them look awkward at best, and messy at worst. And the same is true with Marvel Select - I'm not building a set of Capcom's X-Men: Children of the Atom figures, so I don't need Juggernaut to be that ridiculously massive compared to everyone else. Plus, his engineering and aesthetic don't match the current line as well as the new BAF, at least for my purposes. Lastly, and this specifically targets the X-Men wave, there's a number of us who just, for whatever reason, can't/won't be able to go back and get older figures on the secondary market, and having brand-new versions, with new sculpting and newer engineering, is great for us. I love Rogue, but there was no way in hell I would ever be able to get the old TBML Rogue, nor would I really want to. But Hasbro's got me covered now, and I couldn't be happier.

I would like to see a new Sentinel. Whether they released it single carded for 100 bucks or split it across 2 waves, I'd be fine with either. I'd really like to see ML do what DCC does with larger characters and just straight release them with a larger price tag.

Doc ock display tip!
So somehow i discovered a way to have doc ock stand on his robot arms. though you need a wall or back or something to help support the figure as well as a fairly weighted figure one that doesn't fall over easily. pose the legs as such in the image below, might be able to change em , and stick your fairly weighted figure i used rhino, so something with equal weight should work , in front of one of legs against the wall use the over for balance and you may end up hopefully something that looks like this. ![]() |

As someone who never got into the TB-era Legends or Marvel Select, despite ample opportunity to do so, let me give my two cents on the matter.

I love Rogue, but there was no way in hell I would ever be able to get the old TBML Rogue, nor would I really want to. But Hasbro's got me covered now, and I couldn't be happier. With Hasbro, they don't stray too far from their formula, but the formula is so good that, for the most part, you can always expect at least a decent figure. This means that if you're anticipating a certain character, and you know it's going to be on a certain buck, you can expect it to be, at worst, serviceable, and at best, fantastic (disregarding paintwork and head sculpts, the former of which Hasbro is known to struggle with at times). You don't have to worry about any experimentation that just doesn't work, and then the impending doom of knowing that your beloved character might not get another chance at a solid figure for years. If Hasbro tells me they're doing a Moon Knight on Bucky Cap, then I can already expect that it a) will fit in with the bulk of my collection and b) it will at least be decent enough to shut me up (if it isn't just nigh perfection already the way the Hobgoblin Wave Daredevil is to me). As long as they can get the head sculpts right, do a good job painting them, and add in necessary tooling when the design calls for it, I'm 100% fine with them reusing parts. If nothing else, I can expect consistency from Hasbro. |

Doc is precariously perched on stacked foot-stands to provide the desired height, but the fig IS supporting his own weight...like a boss! It does take some doing and a bit of patience to find the fig's center of gravity, but the results are very satisfying. Ock himself is a smaller figure, which makes all of this possible. Had he been heavier, I'm sure this feat would not be as easy to accomplish. Weighing in on the Hasbro vs Toy Biz design differences, I'd say personal preference factors mightily into the equation. Personally, I dig both lines; each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Variety and detail ruled the day with Toybiz, but it is true that proportions were all over the place. Toy Biz's finished products had just as much of a chance to look wonky as they did to look awesome. Hasbro's recent wares look considerably more polished (overall), but rampant abuse via the repurposing of molds runs the risk of wearing thin fan appreciation. DCUC (also one of my favorite lines) flirted with the same dilemma and some believe that fact became the line's ultimate downfall. To each his (or her) own. Enjoy your favorite line for what it is...and for as long as it lasts. |

@Dark
Much kinder words than I deserve...thanks a lot, man. @warmachine lol That's correct...but if you sacrifice some of the height and open the pincers, your Ock will stand on his own without the support of the wall or Rhino. Side note: I still prefer my TB Rhino to my Hasbro Rhino.... |

Wow, Cap wave 3 is due out? Still no wave 2 around here. Guess it is time to look at other options for purchase.
