After reading about two reviews on here....stating that Space Venom was an okay read...and in anticipation of the new BAF's release...
I just read issues #1-4 of the series and..... No Thank you!!...do not like..do not want. A "purged of evil" symbiote with a leg-less Eugene "Flash" Thomson playing Space Cop...PASS! I felt no attachment to the character...don't care for where they've taken the Symbiote's origins.. Please bring back (and i'm sure it will happen SOMEDAY) the villanous, insane, manical, Spider-man-blood thirsty, crazy symbiote we all know and love. |

How long until Marvel re-boots back to the old boot just as DC is currently doing?
Apparently, no one cares about this non-sense with the Hulk. I've always known that Hulk fans, like myself, were far and few between...but the silence has been deafening on the internet. Of course, he will likely return...then again, maybe not given the lack of response to the character's demise. My fandom today, yours tomorrow... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I sir too...am a Hulk fan. I WISH the book was constantly written in a way that was relative and interesting. Unfortunately that's usually not the case. It seems like they're always at a round table trying to come up with some cockamamie (i have never used that word before in my life and thought it would now be fitting..HA) idea for the Hulk. There have been highlights over time...but mostly...meh.

That said I would guess it's possible. I thought the Cap wave 3 would be shipping before Spider-man, but it seems like that' not the case. I did see Silk, Hobgoblin and Electro (the only ones I'm interested in) on order for around the $40 mark on average (Electro a bit less Silk a bit more), and they said it would be "in stock" July 16..soo...it may work out for you. PS on Hulk returning, I wouldn't be surprised if BMB just wanted to use him in a future story and writes him as being alive...no explanation of return, no cares of the continuity even the continuity he himself wrote, just wants to use the character even though he's dead, so he does. |

I kind of hope he stays dead. Nothing against Bruce, either as his own character or as the Hulk, but I've just found myself bored with a lot of the 'classic' heroes as they are.
I'm a longtime Marvel fan, but I gotta say that I hadn't felt excited about reading the happenings of the 616 universe for years, until All-New All-Different Marvel happened (well, that and some of the Marvel NOW! lead-up before Secret Wars). With so many characters either voluntarily leaving their mantles or being unable to continue for some reason or another, there was a wealth of possibility going on. Sam Wilson as Cap? Laura Kinney taking over as Wolverine? This was crazy, and I was excited. I was ready to give Marvel a ton of money to read all these books. Even if it was 'classic' or formulaic stories, they'd be told with a different character having different reactions and different resolutions, so I could dig it. Marvel was making me care about their stories again, and not just my personal ideas of the characters. Hell, I never even gave two scoops about GotG before Bendis came along, and I'm not ashamed to say that. Which is why all this 'returning to status quo' crap is just making me drop books left and right. Well, that and the endless stream of crossovers they've been doing. And it sucks, because while I don't hate Peter Parker or Steve Rogers or whoever, these guys have been in the tights for longer than I've been alive. Even factoring in comic-book time, it really is time for, to paraphrase the Odinson, the old order to changeth.

I think the changes are fine if they make sense. If there is an actual reason in story that's not just some thinly veiled cover for PC. If the relationship between the old and new characters works in such a way that there is either A: logical history between the characters that it makes sense for the change or B: if there is an singular (or handful) of events in which the change is either a matter of honor between the characters (like if character A sacrificed their life/powers for character B, and character B felt honor bound to carry on the legacy), or if the decision was taken out of their hands and the they had no choice but for the switch.
I think the Sam Wilson as Captain America made perfect sense. I think X-23 as Wolverine makes perfect sense as well. I'm not so sure the Nova, Hulk, and upcoming Iron Man switches make sense. Don't get me started on Thor. Thor is a name, not a code-name. I'm actually totally fine with Jane Foster being in the ROLE of what is she is doing -- in fact I think it's one of the more interesting concepts -- but she needed to have a different name and that really is my only gripe with it for me. The Spider-man and Ms. Marvel switches are a little different because you do have the originals around in some capacity. It's not a technical 100% replacement. Hawkeye/Kate Bishop is the same way. I heard there's a new Wasp but I don't know enough of that situation to adequately judge it, as I also under Jan's still around? The original 5 teen X-men are a situation unique all unto themselves. And it's not like Marvel hasn't done things like this before. There's been several Spider-women and Ghost Riders. Iron Man has been more than just Tony Stark in the past. All the Ant-Mans..mens..Manses? It just seems for the most part the replacements are all teens, geared towards a new generation, and all being done as an agenda of PC-ism. |

Good luck, I hope it wasn't a situation where it appeared it was in hand as it didn't indicate pre-order, but actually was still for preorder like the X-Men wave I almost bought a month ago. I really wish Amazon had stricter policies for third party sellers if the items are still on preorder through them.

Now dont get me wrong..I love women...and especially black women..haha...but for the love of all that's holy will this switchover make ANY LOGICAL SENSE. it's PC nonsense for sure..l.BUT..i will reserve my actual opinion until AFTER i read the story arc.

My only problem with Riri Williams is that I am skeptical of Bendis' ability to write a teenage black girl genius convincingly when he is none of those things.

You know, I was thinking, if it was revealed she was actually RiRi Rhodes, and daughter of James Rhodes War Machine, it would make 100 times more sense. But Nooooooooo. Let's just put some random person we made up 3 months ago into the mantle of one of our biggest cash cows.

Ugh saw close ups of Spider-Bi-- err. Ashely Barton. I kind of want that figure now. Up close she's really cool looking. So that's now four of the 6...i guess I should just order the wave...sodon'tgiveafrackaboutSpaceVenom.
Okay, just ordered through BBTS. Once I get it, if someone wants the BAF pieces for Space Venom I can send them out. I'd prefer to send to someone who wants the whole figure and has no parts so nothing goes to waste, but whatever works. Last edited by Captain Nash; 07-15-2016 at 08:09 AM.. |

Much like the BS with Namor, another favorite of mine. I'm sure Surfer's next... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 07-15-2016 at 09:58 AM.. |

Alright so I called my local Wal-Mart to see if they had the CW Falcon and Bucky in stock. Unfortunately they said no. However the person on the phone did give me some information though. She said that her new stock of figures will be coming in August. So while I can't say how true this will be for every store, it seems that late July or sometime in August will be when these really start popping up.
