@Tim
Thanks, man. I put in a little extra for those characters that I really dig. Spidey and Surfer (neck and neck for #1) were very important heroes in my childhood experience of comics!

@Von
Thanks, mate! Tiger Shark is a very emotive figure, naturally, making him easy and fun to pose. The trick with those Obitsu stands is one of balance. They'll do pretty much whatever you want, provided you position the disk well and use extra clips to anchor the fig. Thanks for noting the flames standing in as water. Both flames and water can move in ways that make them seem 'alive.' With that in mind, it's just a matter of reflecting that concept when using them as accents.

Yes, I am in suspense agony right now. It's funny I really don't care about anything but the Marvel Legends and Universe stuff now but I care SO MUCH. SO much so I forgot they actually show things for TVS/Comics and movies at these things.

Yes, I am just hoping/praying that second X-men wave rumor is true and we will see it. if that and the Box set is all we get out of this year's offerings I will still be personally satisfied. Though I know there will be other stuff too LOL.

UGH!!!!! Saturday!!

I'm always afraid what they show with previews and dioramas are customs that build up my hopes only to have them crushed within a few days.

Has anyone thought about putting a list together for the sdcc exclusives ? For instance I would list Star Wars Obi Wan and ML Raft box set for my wants. I will try and get them when they go live and If I can get extras I would go down the list and whoever needs one pm the cost plus shipping. I don't know if this is a good idea or not. Any thoughts?

No worries man.. worth mentioning though that different stores in different areas often put them out early if they get them in and have shelf space. Best way to check on the activity in your area (at least for Target stores) is use the DPCI number on the Brickpicker website:

Target Inventory Status and Availability

The trick is to keep comparing daily inventory of the stores and seeing which ones change, then calling those stores to have them check their shelves or back area (which they WILL do if their inventory screen shows that they have units in the "stockroom"). Also, most importantly, be AS POLITE AS POSSIBLE to the person on the phone and don't push them if they say they don't have what you're looking for... can't stress this enough. I've always managed to find the figures I wanted by calling ahead and having them put the figure on hold for me under my name(which they'll do until close of that day). Blindly driving around from store to store looking for something is noob level toy hunting. =P

Edit: Almost forgot, Target DPCI for this X-Men wave is 087065418. Good luck peeps.

@Robb....might be difficult to coordinate WHEN people are actually trying to get things....but i'd be down for something like that.

I was thinking this too. Technically they haven't unveiled the entirety of the Space Venom and Abomination waves in an event setting, so I could see them focusing on those two waves tomorrow night. They'll also be showing off the SDCC exclusive set/ Hopefully, they do throw us collectors a bone and show off something we don't already own or have pre-ordered.

*hand raised* I have seen signs of the wave at two Walmarts in my area. Those signs being two Captain Americas per Walmart.

I'm actually losing my normally unbreakable optimism that I'll find T'Challa, Nick Fury, or even Red Guardian in person.

(PSST if any Arker wants to help me out for cost + shipping, I'd be game. Don't even need the BAF pieces. T'Challa being the highest priority of course.)

@VonPooten
Thanks for the info! I have thought about trying my hand at dios for a while but always get lazy about it. These seem like something I might actually get done before my inevitable laziness kicks in LOL.

I will also second TBM. Obitsu stands are all about balance and counter-weight. The bases are really light but you can often get them to stand up pretty high so long as the counter-weight is there.

Black Panther? Shit, I have not seen any of the wave at all. Still choking to death on Red Onslaught, All-Father and the random Thanos wave figures here.
