Just read who was gonna play starlords dad....was stoked. Then i read who is dad is in the movie....james gunn just lost ever ounce of credibility with me. He already lost points for saying the reason rick rider wasnt nova was he hated the character but this latest twist......well lets say it ranks right up there with making tilda swinton the ancient one.....which i utterly hate.

Yeah I read that too. I was fine with the casting choice but the character choice is....weird. Plus, I would have thought that would have maybe been a plot spoiler they'd want to keep under wraps.

I'm okay with the Ancient One casting given their explanation of it being a mantle not a specific person. I know it's not that way in the comics, but it very well could have been.

At least they could made her michelle yeoh or zang ziyi...not....whatever swinton is? as for how his dad...well got there....... im picturing something akin to the tree scene in the original evil dead or swamp thing returns?

I don't have an issue with it. I mean, she did die from having a growth inside of her. :-p

Seriously though, I'm interested to see how this plays out. Gunn sold me with the first movie, so he can do whatever he wants with the second and I will be happy as long as it is at least half as good as the first one.

Meh, I get banned from forums all of the time, it isn't a big deal. I got banned from he-man.org for saying Mattel's New 52 Captain Marvel SDCC exclusive a few years ago looked like ass for the price point. I got banned last month from bluray.com's forums for saying the nun in the Game of Thrones season finale got exactly what she deserved. And I forgot why I got banned from Toonzone's forums about 7 years ago.

People on the internet are way too overly sensitive.

That forum is HORRIBLE, the people there are the biggest bunch of asshats i've ever met. They all act like elitist... better off here dude. MOST of the members here are good people.

Actually, I can see Selene (and her inner circle) as an SDCC exclusive.
That would actually make a lot of sense to me, as it would mean they use this opportunity to release a more adult oriented figure at a primarily adult attended event. No hassle with stores imposing their view of decency on Hasbro.
Now all they will have to do to make this thing work for me, is open it up from being just an SDCC exclusive to a worldwide Con-exclusive.

I could see it being a re-painted/humanized Sand-man. That'd kinda explain why they didn't reveal it at SDCC, wouldn't want to compete with their own SDCC set.

I am guessing buy the Fan Poll that they are looking at doing a Thunderbolts line, (Yes Please), a Symbiote line (meh), and a Deadpool: Mercs for Money line. They brought up Solo and Terror. SO I hope to happy hell that we get a Slapstick with arm parts and weapons. I can see them going full force with a DP wave of his mercs and a couple other x men. But it would most likely be a box set. But I would also love a Madcap too. I have already said how they could do a Tbolts line with an Atlus BAF. Songbiry with short and long hair heads. Citizen V with his wing glider, Techno with snap on guns , ect...

Thanks for the comments guys. I honestly do not expect Selene will ever show up, but with yesterday's reveals, she is now my most wanted character. As opposed to POlaris and Enchantress though, who I felt were both characters that had a huge backing and no real excuse not to be made, Selene is more my personal albatross, that character you really would love to see made but realize she does not have a huge fanbase of people pushing for her.

Also I do have a custom I made (one of my first and few!) and I'm always on the lookout for better options. I think I have enough different figures to make about 4 of her lol.

I guess realistically Justice, Firestar, Moonstar, Madrox and Songbird would be my top 5 now. Would love to see all of them made.

Did they say or have any news on when the Spider-Man, X-Men and GOTG will be releasing? I know they said 2017 on X-Men earlier this week, and I'm assuming 2017 for GOTG as well, but what time period - early, mid? If it's early they may start showing up right at the end of the year which would be awesome.

I watched an interview awhile back, little fuzzy on the details, but I believe the Spider-man and GOTG waves were given a January-March timeline. The X-men wave wasn't specified in the video, because it was before all of the reveals.

Thanks! I'm going to assume the same time period as all the prototypes are finished figures rather than just seeing them on panel. I'm guessing this is the first trimester 2017 offerings. Awesomeness!
