Haha, thanks Lee. It sucks that beefing up the ladies section is a constant challenge since they're almost all opc's/exclusives.

Got my Legends Electro and Beetle in the mail today. Waiting on Black Cat to go down in price. Pretty nice haul since Christmas. Got a sweet Amazon gift card for a large gift and used part of that for the SDCC Thunderbolts set. Now just waiting to see if that Jubilee wave actually comes out or Hasbro craps out on us again.

I'm hoping you're right about a price decrease, but I won't hold my breath. These femme fatales are all short packed and will probably be harder to come by as time goes on. If I could offer some advice, have a team of friends/ family on the lookout for you at retail, because I think they'll be scooped up as fast as any figure in recent ML line ups. But good luck in the search!

I've pretty much settled into the situation of paying $30 on average for the retooled/new body female figures from all these latest Legends waves. I gave up on all the shops in my area a while ago. Funny that prices have gone up and the figures are still as hard to come by as ever... only good thing from the rebrand so far is nicer packaging as far as I can tell.

Thanks for mentioning the short pack. I may reconsider buying off Amazon. When I saw her the other day she was $30, a little higher than I would want but then again I did get the other two for around $20 each not including shipping....so that'd average out to my self imposed ML limit of $25 figure cost each....(unless they ever make a few of my most wanted of course)

As for family and friends looking out for me, unfortunately those few I had that collected have long since given up. I'm the lone soldier battling retail hell in my social group

They are, just look at Emma for the MLW, she contains the body for Puck as well as Black Cat for the Spider-Man series, she's the body for Goblin. Hmm seems to be a recurring theme actually. Looks like Hasbro is forcing people to buy these by the cases it seems like.

Hasblow does not care. You can't even buy a case from them. You are to use online toy stores. I think Hasbro owns all these online toy stores and uses them as a front lol.

Worst part for me is that as much as I'd like to use the new ML female bodies for customs, I can't bring myself to chop up a figure that cost me $25-35 dollars. The new Spider-Girl figure is going to be PERFECT for a lot of characters, but if I get one I'm keeping it stock since it'll likely be the only one I get and I'll probably have paid way over retail for it. As of right now, I'm still trying to make the most out of the older Toy Biz and early Hasbro female figures for fodder. I'm just now getting into molding and casting parts though, so hopefully I can start reproducing some of the updated and newer parts as needed. PITA though...

I think the smartest thing Hasbro could do, would be to make all-star cases of 8.

AIM & HYDRA X 2 each
Black Widow X 2
Black Cat X 1
Emma Frost X 1

I would buy 2 cases at $160 - No problem.

Customizers, collectors, retail and your local LCS would all be grateful

You forgot Carnage. Out of the Spidey wave he's the only 1 I'm missing, the rest I have either picked up already of have set aside for me. The Cap series figures I'll soon have complete, but the army builders have alluded me. I've been lucky to have a buddy in the states to sell me them at cost + shipping. I wish I could find the cap wave at retail. The Spidey figures are the only ones hitting retail up in Canada atm. Target is charging $19.99, TRU is charging $26.99!!! WTF! These figures are awesome, but overpaying and buying them all seems to be a consistent theme. I still need Emma Frost and Cyclops to complete my puck figure and that wave.

Yup these figures would be expensive to use for customs which is why I haven't really moved over from the Hope Summers as my base. That or I use the wrestling figures with some minor mods.

I agree completely! Looking back, I thought it was a pain paying $25 for the Elektra/Ronin 2-packs for female bodies to customize. At least with those, they were easy to find, and I at least got a Ronin for spare parts (along with a TON of weapons). With these, not only is it painful paying that price for a single figure, but I'd also feel a twinge of guilt for making it so that there is one less hard-to-find figure on the market.
Lately, I've been buying plenty of clearance Hope Summers, at Target, and I guess they'll have to make due for my future customs

Hey, I don't know if any of you guys get Previews Magazine. But the advertisement for the second wave of Cap Legends figures displays the three last figures for the wave (BW, WS, and Movie Cap) as well as the Hydra and AIM soldier. (So for those who have the magazine, January 2014 issue page 451)

Now this picture is quite contrary to what BBTS posts as the case assortment. Though it has to be noted that the Previews ad does not tell you anything about case assortment.

So can anyone clear this up for me, at least those of you who buy figures from LCS? How accurate are Previews ad pictures compared to the final product that actually gets sent to shops. And does BBTS get their Hasbro products from Diamond/Previews? Or directly from Hasbro? This might explain the apparent advertised differences.

I personally think that the Previews picture is misleading and when LCS get the figures it will be the exact same case assortment as BBTS. But if Previews is accurate, it gives me hope that we may see more AIM/Hydra figures in the future.

BBTS gets most of Hasbro's retail stuff directly from Hasbro, so the case assortment information they have for it is also from Hasbro.

Waves are not the same as case assortments. Wave 2 cases for any toy line generally will have some filler from Wave 1, especially if the number of new figures in the second wave is less than the total number of figures in a case.

No idea why Previews seems to think the AIM and Hydra figures are part of Wave 2, since all of the swap figures were supposedly in the Wave 1 case.

But you can still have hope. If Hasbro decides to do a Revision case, they could change the ratios on some of the figures.

Thanks for that clarification about BBTS. Yeah, I too wonder why Previews thinks these figures (AIM/Hydra) are part of wave 2 and it does seem odd. I tend to trust more what BBTS lists than what Previews shows.
