1. Since the new Colossus isn't the 'traditional ole' school' Colossus.. and since they probably won't make THAT version anytime soon
What is the best Legends Colossus figure for my X-men group?

2. Same question for Beast. AND..what is that Beast I see that has like Dark Gear and maybe goggles on (i forget). I think i want both.

3. I bought Beetle(??) today..from the Ultimate Green Goblin wave. HOW COME his (and i've seen this on other figures back when i wasn't collecting Legends) name isn't on the package ANYWHERE. ???
It says like "deadliest foes" or something like that. What was(is) the purpose of releasing a figure without his/her name on the package?

not so sure on #3, but I can tell you that both the TB Colossus and Beast hold up really well. They are probably the best done of the X-men characters from TB.

1. If you want a traditional Colossus, your only options are the old Toy Biz Marvel Legends Colossus or the Marvel Select Colossus. The MS version is my favorite even though he's a little too big.

2. The two Beast figures you're referring to were in the TB X-Men line. You can find them here: http://marvelousnews.com/database/index.php?itemid=793

3. Originally, Hasbro was going to do swap figures in each wave. They'd come with the same BAF piece and have a name like "Deadliest Foes" but the two figures were completely different. I think Hasbro dropped the swap figure concept after the Ultimate Green Goblin wave. The only figures that I can think of coming with the same BAF since then are Misty Knight and White Tiger. Plus, Hasbro probably doesn't have to mess with copyrighting the name if a figure is called Deadliest Foes on the package.

Hobby is considerably taller and more built but it doesn't bother me too much considering GG is posed exclusively on his glider for me.

I do look forward to having a more properly scaled Green Goblin in my collection though, even though the head sculpt on this GG is pretty much perfect.

Cheers SymbiSpidey, i dont mind the new head sculpt, but the toy biz one is nice as well, we might get 2 ... though hasbro would have shown it

The swap figure concept was around for a while longer, though it didn't always mean that the figures came with the same BAF piece. Examples, post-UGG wave:

Allfather Wave: Maidens of Might - came with Odin head/cape/weapon (Scarlet Witch) or King Thor head/cape/weapon (Captain Marvel)
Allfather Wave: Avenging Allies - came with Odin arms (Sentry) or King Thor arms (Machine Man)
Hobgoblin Wave: Warriors of the Web - came with Hobby's torso (Ultimate Spider-Woman) or Hobby's head/wings (Spider-Girl)
Thanos Wave: Fierce Fighters - both Hellcat and Spider-Woman came with Thanos' head and left arm

After that, they still used the 'Swap Figure' naming convention, but didn't do the 'doubled-up parts' thing any more:

Hulkbuster Wave: Fearless Defenders (Valkyrie/Thundra) and Marvel Heroes (Vision/Doctor Strange)
Rhino Wave: Heroes for Hire (Misty Knight/Ghost Rider) and Savage Force (Kraven/Chameleon)
Absorbing Man Wave: Edge of Spider-Verse (Ben Reilly/Spider-Gwen), Villains of the Night (Morbius/Jack O' Lantern), and Superior Foes of Spider-Man (Beetle/Speed Demon)
Red Onslaught Wave: Agents of SHIELD (Mockingbird/Sharon Carter), Mercenaries of Mayhem (Taskmaster/Scourge), and Forces of Evil (Whirlwind/Cottonmouth)
Abomination Wave: Energized Emissaries (Captain Britain/Wonder Man)
Spaceknight Venom Wave: Ultimate Spider-Men (Peter Parker/Miles Morales), Web-Slinging Heroines (Silk/Ashley Barton), and Evil Adversaries (Hobgoblin/Electro)

Like you said, it's probably to make it easier to brand/copyright certain items.

His articulation won't beat a Marvel Legends figure but most joints have a decent range of movement. I think he was one of the first MS figures to have ankle pivots. I was just messing around with him and was able to get him balanced in a decent running pose.

The one from the Green Goblin BAF wave? That's Beetle from the Ultimate reality (Earth 1610), in the comics there's not much known about them except that they were Latverian and wanted to obtain a sample of the symbiote suit for whatever reason. Since the Ultimate reality no longer exists and that guy was neither important nor popular I'd say it's safe to assume he's not making a come back. It's a pretty cool looking suit on its own though but that guy wasn't the Ultimate version of Abner Jenkins or anything and that suit hasn't shown up in any other comics.

Funny you say that because in the Ultimate universe it was actually Spider-Man who gave him the name and when he did he had to clarify that he wasn't referring to the band but the insects (y'know since only we the readers can see that he said "beetle" and not "beatle"). Also funny because in the 1994 Iron Man cartoon they made Beetle sound like a member of the band just as a one-off joke basically, seriously they did.

I think anyone who has the War Machine two pack ordered it from Robot Kingdom. I think the previous two packs arrived in late summer/early fall so it may still be too early to find War Machine on the shelf.

Robot Kingdom has it listed for $40. I'd imagine Target would have it for $40 as well. If it has the same DPCI number as the previous three packs, then it could be on sale when it hits store shelves.
