The X-Men wave has been finally turning up on shelves this past week, and the first initial shipments started shipping from online retailers roughly three weeks ago. The Space Venom wave started shipping to people roughly 2 weeks ago, so I would think in roughly another two weeks you should be able to start finding it on shelves. Other factors slow things down of course, such as location and current stocks on your local stores, but it's still a pretty safe guideline to follow. |

Because the question of release dates keeps coming up, here's a safe thought to remember. These waves generally are released into the brick and mortar stores 3-4 weeks after they start shipping from online retailers. This has been the case with nearly every wave of Marvel Legends these last two years (with the exception of the Giant Man Civil War wave, but I think that's a fault of retailers feeling the strain from unsold Legends as opposed to them actually not being shipped.)

Once again Raf shows us what a collector may aspire to be.

As far as taxes are concerned one of the main reasons we have higher sales taxes in Texas is because we don't have a state income tax. Some have been calling for the implementation of an income tax and the reduction or elimination of others in its place but as a very conservative state the chances are highly unlikely. The property tax is what can really bite you in the ass here, if your land goes up in value over night for no reason of your own you can expect to still have to pay more unless you go out of your way to argue the point. |

![]() ![]() Initial Thoughts: Spider-Girl - My least favorite out of the wave. I just don't care about a futuristic daughter of Hawkeye and whomever. The figure itself is okay but I'm really getting tired of these females Spideys that don't come with any alternate hands. Silk - Kind of suffers the same problems as what I just said about Ashley, but at least she comes with an unmasked head and bandanna. Electro - I love and hate this figure all at the same time. I love the classic head, but I hate that he doesn't come with non-lightning hands. Thankfully, the ones from Speed Demon work okay even though they aren't the same shade. The paint detail are fantastic here. Miles Morales - An awesome figure all around. The paint work is incredible, especially on his unmasked head, the articulation allows him to be in a lot of poses, and the alternate hands really add to him. Spidey - I know this is suppposed to be the Ultimate version of him, but to me, this is a high school Peter. I love the matte finish he has opposed to the gloss the pizza Spidey has and his thighs can stretch out a little bit farther, which is nice. He feels just like a scaled down verson of the Pizza Spidey and that works for me. Hobgoblin - This is my most anticipated figure of the wave and he does not disappoint, mostly. I love sculpted scales and the paint is phenomenal. The metallic blue really makes it pop among his clothes. I love the tattered cape, but I am torn as to which head I want to use. My first experience with Hobgoblin was when Jason had the more demonic looking face, so I really want to go with the demonic head, but I don't like how the mouth and tongue came out. On the other hand, the standard mask head is excellent, so part of me wants to display him that way. Plus, that is how he was portrayed in the animated series when Mark Hamill voiced him and is what all of the previous toys were based on. Not sure which to choose. Oh, my only minor nitpick is the glider should be about half an inch to an inch longer, but whatever. Space Knight Venom - I'm most likely going to be selling this guy off this week. I don't hate it, but I don't care for it. I'm also not a fan of how hollow his body feels and the black on the body is a matte finish while the legs, arms, and head are a glossy one, so the blacks look like different colors. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Great pics Dr. Kain! I'm looking forward to this wave!
Side note, can anyone help me out? I need an arm to the (Red) Onslaught BAF. It's the open handed one that came with Cottonmouth. I think it's the right arm. Since getting the X-Men wave, my friend decided that he wanted to build Onslaught but now we can not find the Red Skull Onslaught wave in our area. |

All of the pegs for the hands on both the X-Men and the Space Venom wave have been shaped differently than in previous waves, allowing them to be easily removed and swapped out without having to use a hairdryer or other heating technique (although I still recommend) as if they were intended to have interchangeable parts. Rogue, Jean and Kitty, Havok, Ashley Barton and Silk, Electro, Deadpool, and even Hobgoblin all have hands that can be very easily removed and swapped out with other figures who have removable hands. Experiment and see what you can come up with! I hope this was an intended change as it is one that is very welcome, as it allows us to experiment with different looks and makes customization that much easier, as we no longer will need to shave or dremel down the huge ball pegs of the older styled wrist joints. That said, I might have to scrap up some extra cash just to pick up a few of those Allfather Iron Fists that are loitering around my stores on rollbacks just so I can get my mitts on all those spare hands he comes with. |

My TRU had 13 Cottonmouths on the pegs when I was there Friday night. I'll most likely be going there again sometime this week, would you like me to grab you one? BTW, I didn't know you could slide Goblin's head of the hood: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Was matching the skintone of the head to her arms and legs difficult?

Nice. After white and yellow paint, color matching is my least favorite part of customizing

My Emma Frost hasn't arrived and I'm so impatience when I have something in mind. So...here's my X-Men (and villains) group pic. I will take many more when my "white queen" arrives!
...I'm putting together a special team, with special privileges...join us. So tell me, after defending this country for 150 years and 4 wars, how would you like to really serve your country?... |
