This! A Marvel Select Apocalypse or Onslaught would be steller.
The recent BAF Onslaught looks great but his size kills it for me as an ML. I think if I ever get him all put together, I'll display him with my MU figures since IMHO he fits in scale better with them. For ML scale Onslaught should be at least 10" tall. Apocalypse is a character I've been wanting for time and I was sorely disappointed he wasn't at least announced at SDCC from Hasbro. I love the TB BAF figure but too big and mainly too expensive to obtain atm and the other ML Apocalypse never really grew on me. A new BAF or MS Apocalypse is looooong overdue.

Yes I do and thanks for that! Can you clarify if she is Marvel Girl or Rachel Summers? If so, I did include her in the pic. If It's not the same character then I'm not sure which one you're talking about. |

My Emma Frost hasn't arrived and I'm so impatience when I have something in mind. So...here's my X-Men (and villains) group pic. I will take many more when my "white queen" arrives!
...I'm putting together a special team, with special privileges...join us. So tell me, after defending this country for 150 years and 4 wars, how would you like to really serve your country?... ![]() ![]() ![]() Incidentally, why's Adam Warlock in there? Am I just having a moment where I'm not remembering his association with the team? Quote:
Dammit Leopold! You've offended me for the last time on this site with your nonsense. How can you call that an X-Men collection when you're missing someone! The mutant from which it all of began! The genesis! The messiah!
![]() ![]() Why...when word of this gets out...it'll...it'll be chaos in the streets! A real life purge! Chaos and anarchy...cats and dogs living together...real end of the world type stuff! What will become of our children in the midst of this madness? I'm sorry to do this to you Leopold...but to suggest that you've picked up Emma before the God of Mutantkind, it's blasphemous! I'm sorry good sir, but you've given me no choice. Fellow arkers, we are being led astray by this false monarchy... ![]() <kappa> ![]() Quote:
So slightly unrelated to the toys specifically, I finally watched Volume 4 of X-Men today and wow these episodes have started to decline in quality real quick. It feels like everything that has come after the Asteroid M two parter took a major downgrade in every category. Sadly, this also includes Beyond Good and Evil, which wasn't as great as I remember it being. I still enjoyed it a lot, but it is no longer my favorite multi-parter of the series. I also don't like how they just randomly changed Magneto's voice in this and in the episode with Quicksilver and Witch. The new guy sounds terrible.
The Morlock Xmas episode was atrocious while the one with Wolverine in Japan felt mightily rushed. The one with Cyclops looking for his old teacher wasn't bad though. Fortunately, the majority of the episodes on the first disc to Volume 5 were better again, with "Bloodlines" being the best of them. I forgot Warlock had made an appearance in this show, and was that Phallanx two parter based on a comic story? I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure I read it shortly after X-Cutioner's Song. Or maybe I'm on crack. That was a pretty good one and it was nice to have the real voice of Magneto back. Although, it made no sense as to why he was suddenly depressed about Asteroid M despite randomly helping Apocalypse for no reason and having his children reject him. Not to mention Quicksilver goes up and hugs him at the end even though there was nothing to suggest they made up. Anyway, only 8 episodes to go and I can't wait to watch the Mr Sinister origin story again. I just hope that one lives up to the memory I have of it compared to Beyond Good and Evil. ![]() But in all seriousness, a number of S4 episodes (and even a couple of S5 episodes!) were originally intended for Season 3, not to mention the haphazard order of a lot of the episodes, so the season as a whole ends up pretty filler-tastic and bounces back and forth in mood and quality, while they got around to finishing and releasing episodes meant for the previous season. Wikipedia's episode list includes the originally-intended ordering of the episodes, and as you can see, things from Season 3 onward got royally buggered.

Added the new Hasbro Sinister Six members in this shot inspired by Alex Ross' artwork. I was supposed to do this with ToyBiz figs way back but can't due to my lack of props. Anyway, made a quick BTS of this shot if you wanna check:

So, quick story about how awesome my wife is, and how I'm kind of an inadvertent bonehead
![]() So, earlier tonight, we're walking through a nearby Target, just looking around, when we hit the toy aisles, and I see them: the X-Men wave. Most of it, anyway - no Logan, Wade, or Jean. Now, we've had to put off ordering the wave due to financial stuff, so excitedly, I started trying to prioritize which ones I wanted the most, to stow them away for when we go shopping in a couple days. Cue my wife telling me that she had planned on surprising me with the fact that she preordered the whole wave, and added Black Panther to the order as well. Leaving me excited, happy, and feeling kinds of bad that I accidentally spoiled her surprise ![]() Quote:
I doubt MJ will be an SDCC exclusive. Hasbro put out a Mary Jane figure in the 3.75" line a few years ago and it didn't peg warm (even though it looked terrible). I don't see any reason why they wouldn't try for mass retail with a 6" version her. I could see her being released in a 2 pack with Spiderman (SDCC version with an unmasked Peter Parker alternate head). Or throw in J. Jonah Jameson to make it a 3 pack. But my money is on retail.

Hasbro would be silly to not capitalize on the X-Men right now. If there's ever been a single team with a large enough pool of popular and profitable characters to make several waves of action figures out of, it's the X-Men. And I'm sure Hasbro is realizing this after the success of this last wave.
And yeah, totally forgot about Elektra. It's absolutely criminal that we don't have a particularly good figure of her yet. |

I used to have him, along with the X-men vs. Street Fighter version, Missile Flyers, a little die cast version, and this one that came with discs that fit inside his chest and lit up images from the cartoon on the wall (like an old school view master), but I sold some of them off a while back and just kept these.
But for Leopold to not have any representation of the God of Mutants...it's, it's inconceivable! God save the king! On a positive note...my white queen arrives today! Dude, I would've waited for her to take the group pic but it said Japan Post Processing...I don't know how it shipped lighting fast...but, It'll be here any minute now! |

SO I went and hit up the 3 Walgreens near me and found X-men Legends at all 3. The strange part was that all 3 stores only each got half a case of 4 random figures.
Store 1- Jean, Cable, Kitty, and Havok. I bought all 4 at this store because they had them on the Spiderman Legends shelf and I asked if they were 19.99 or 14.99 ( what the Spidey figures were on sale for) and he just said I will do them for 14.99. SO, score for me, 20$ off. Store 2- Rogue, 2 Iceman, and a Jean. Bought Rogue and Iceman. Store 3- Jean, Cable, Kitty, and Havok. No Deadpool or Wolverine at any of them. I talked to the managers at 2 of the stores and they said they only got 4 of them. So looks like some stores get full cases and others just get random. But all 3 of these stores just got in full 8 packs of the Namor figure in the last couple weeks also. |

Ugh... reminders that I made a terrible mistake - I had this Rachel (huge Rachel fan here) and ended up selling her when I needed money and before I got bit by the ML bug big-time. Now I never seem to be able to find her for a decent price when I have the money (and I'll probably never get her Cosmic variant without resorting to a Chinese bootleg). The pain is cosmic.

Found a random Captain America shield in a friend's junk box, and decided to give it to my Baron Zemo as a 'souvenir'.

Congrats Raf. That's gotta feel good getting her and completing Puck all at once. I love it when that happens with 1 figure and a BAF part I need.
