So I just finished reading up to 108 in the X-Men Omnibus and except for one moment, everything has been great. Things have gotten a tad bit confusing, especially because the exposition didn't help matters, but that also could be because I saw the cartoon adaptation first, so I'm so used to that that this version was confusing. Neverthless, I have been having a blast reading all of these issues except for what was issue 106, it felt like it didn't belong there. I mean, at the end of 105 Phoenix and the X-Men travel through the stargate.
However, 106 just jumps with them in the danger room and everything ends up being a dream essentially created by an evil version of Xavier, but it just doesn't make any sense because there is no transition to this happening. Not to mention Phoenix isn't even present in the issue one bit and yet, somehow Xavier's darkside manage to fly across the entire cosmos to fight them in a dream? Did they arrive out of the stargate and just stare at the Imperial Guard the entire time they fought their imaginary predecessors? I just don't understand how that issue fits into the overall narrative. That aside, like I said, everything else has been great. I thought the issue with Magneto's return (from being transformed into a baby??) was wonderful. I am surprised how little the Starjammers were featured in this arc though and that it was already revealed that Corsair is Scott's father, especially since nothing is even resolved on that front. We don't even see the duo's farewell. With that said, I'm trying to sell some stuff so I can buy Volumes 2 and 3 because god damn, I want to continue reading this stuff in order as far as I can. Although, it is weird that the cover to Volume 1 is like a reprint of the original Giant Sized cover while 2 is a new version of a previous cover and Volume 3 is completely new artwork that doesn't even resemble the covers to 1 and 2.

Yeah, I don't have a Prof X figure, so Luthor was the next best thing.

did some passive hunting today (on the way home from errands)
saw several War Machine\Mark 27's at multiple targets, saw several of the Civil War three pack at multiple targets, saw about 8 Namors at a Walgreens. Of Xmen figs I only saw Iceman, Kitty, and Havok on any shelves... Was really hoping to find the Toys R Us 3 pack..but nada as of yet.

If its any consolation I paid $40 for mine. Hated doing so but I missed out on the last DP and unless Hasbro saturates the market with Deadpool's by reissuing the wave in large quantities I only see this figure going up in value and wanted to snag him before he starts homing for $100+

Yeah I agree 100 percent man they are giant Dicks! Especially if they ask absurd amounts of money for a $20 action figure.

Actually buying figures solely because I like the design is how I fell in love with Marvel in the first place. I remember in 2nd grade my friend had the old Deadpool figure with the spring out dagger and I instantly thought it was the coolest Ninja Spider-Man I'd ever seen. In fact Deadpool was probably the first figure I ever hunted cause he was impossible to find back then. I finally found one at a comic shop when I was 8 or so and he was $30 back then. I had to sacrifice a whole month worth of allowence at the time to get him and the guy knocked it down to $20 but still I remember my dad being flabbergasted that an action figure could be so expensive and this was in 93 or so. |

I totally hear you bro. Only reason I do so on occasion is if it's a figure I really want (like DP) plus I usually don't buy whole waves anyways, just characters I like or figures who's design I find interesting.

Leave it to the online retailers to have each figure in the Captain America wave available for pre-order individually EXCEPT for Scarlet Witch. C'mon now....
Might end up putting down a pre-order for Captain Britain though. |

I haven't seen it mentioned here yet, but the final fan poll is going up on Marvel's Facebook page on Monday, as expected the choices are Songbird, Typhoid Mary, Citizen V and White Rabbit.
Marvelous News is also reporting that a retailer is telling them the Dr Strange wave will be shipping September 1st.

Typhoid is the only character on that list that I care about.

Jubilee wave Storm for without BAF for about 30% lower than what I normally saw her sell for.
I have no emotional connection to any of them, but on pure aesthetics I'd prefer Songbird. I don't care much regardless.

See, I'm like that with Songbird. I don't even know who she is, or any of the other 2 characters. Tyhpoid though, was the villian in the DD comics when I started to read them, so to me, she is his second most important villian (Fisk being #1)
