not really cause..they either got made...are getting made..or i have a feeling they would get made...

For instance i REALLLLY want a Blue Marvel and Monica (Spectrum) figure..and would pay a decent amount to get really good ones. But those two i have a feeling we'll see sometime in the future. Any custom i get I wanna feel almost positive that we're not getting the figure, or not getting it annnnnnnnytime soon.

He has Lojack in his tail so it'll do you no good. He's actually one of the figures I really wanted, and deleted from my watch list on ebay..but then you know...somebody's selling it and there ya go...

and...forward thinking about your question...I went on my BBTS pre-order list and cut some things out. I think i'm going to try to stop buying DC Icons....JUST the one's i really want..not the entire line just to complete it. But we'll see how that goes. i don't regret having the ones i have NOW...but i feel like in a few years i might,. OR the opposite could happen..the line will go on for YEARS and there'll be a ton of characters and i'll be wishing i would have bought them all when i had the chance.... PFFFT!!..

Yeah i have some icons like flash, black Adam, deadman and Blue beetle but they are really expensive especially considering how small they are they really don't fit well with my other figures. So I stopped collecting them I doubt they will go for much longer cuz they aren't moving at my comic book store at all. The only figures I'm buying from Dc collectibles is there Tv universe figures, those batman animated series figures look kinda cool too thou

Yes, please! Let's get a Hypnotia, and perhaps a Whiplash/Blacklash, Grey Gargoyle, and a classic Living Laser to boot.

Hell, why not a new Mandarin?

Dang that sucks. I have a fort max pre ordered with them at a sale price and they still haven't shipped it. Hopefully they're not going to cancel it since they've relisted the posting a few times for pre order.

Seemingly everything was out to stop me on this one, from paints that just wouldn't cure and would rub off at the slightest touch, to my brushes having wild hairs up their ass and not painting straight.

Either way, I'm happy how she turned out despite the costume not being any particular one from the comics (I had to take liberties due to the paints just not wanting to work with me, combining elements from her Marvel Now look while paying homage to her 90's look with the "straps" on the legs and arms.) I still have to do some purple drybrushing to Cindy's hair, although I won't attempt that until I am able to either get a spare head or Silk figure to work with. In the meantime, she'll make a good placeholder for me until either Hasbro gives us a new figure, or I can take another stab at it.

That's an awesome Psylocke!

I also don't really buy movie figures unless they fill a hole for a character we do not have. Therefore I might buy Baron Mordo, I'm still torn on him.
You bring up an interesting point about the Black Panther and Captain Marvel movies. I can't help but wonder what those waves will look like.
The Vishanti set is awesome just cause of the way they did the box for it...

This reminds me, I FINALLY saw most of the Civil War/MCU Giant-Man wave in the wild - the whole wave at my LCS (mildly inflated prices of course), and everyone except T'Challa and Fury at the closest TRU (my buddy popped into a TRU across town later in the day, and found the same thing). So have hope! The wave is not the mythical unicorn it has been for most of us!

Damn man, those are some bad ass customs! Absolutely loving the paint work on both. I will be really interested to see how the hair for Psylocke turns out once you have another Silk head to use. I think DTL asked but I missed it if you answered, did you mask off (tape) the lines on Psylocke? They are really clean.

Thanks Kirathis for the kind words...I really appreciate it! Hopefully I'll be able to track down another Silk head soon...I have seen several custom casts of it out there online, but I really struggle with painting facial features and eyes, and as a result, will usually only paint heads if the eyes are covered (like my Blade) or have a mask of some sort (my Black Panthers.) Otherwise, I usually settle for a standard painted Hasbro head and tweak it and work around it as needed. Drybrushing the hair shouldn't be too hard when I find one...especially when when Hasbro has been hitting it out of the park with their female headsculpts and paint applications for them lately.

As for the tape question, on Psylocke, I did manage to use tape to apply the upper "strap" on her left leg, but on the second leg strap, I ended up freehanding it out of frustration with my canvas (the paint was running under the tape down her leg, creating a mess.) The same thing kept happening whenever I tried to apply the X to her chest, except in that case, after failing at that several times due to various issues, I decided to forgo that design element altogether, and just paint the tiny square at the nape of her neck for the sole purpose of breaking up the solid black color scheme. The arms and hands are also freehand.

On Rogue...no tape touched her body. It's all free hand. What I will do when painting, is make a rough shape or line with the contrasting color, and then paint over the excess and clean it up with the base color (in this case, painting it green first, and then cleaning up the edges with black paint.) I've found it to be much easier, rather than trying to get it perfect when painting it the first time. It was a mostly trial and error process that managed to come out mostly symmetrical.

If you do it right, you shouldn't need anything other than an exacto knife, and silver and black paint. It's a really easy upgrade to do, and there are several tutorials on Youtube if you need to know exactly how it's done.

If I had to narrow it down to one Marvel Legend in particular, that award definitely goes to the Spider-Man 3 Movie Sandman figure. The sculpt is nice, and bears a really good resemblance to Thomas Hayden Church, but the leg articulation on the figure is utter garbage, due to its awful hip design straight out of the early days of Toybiz. You can't kick his leg forward, or even have him stepping forward, without turning the whole thing 90 degrees. It's awful.

Second place goes to the Spider-Man classics Scorpion Venom. He looked cool in the package, and I was excited to have a Mac Gargan version of Venom, but once I got him out of the package, I realized I spent ten bucks on essentially a Venom paperweight. One of the few figures I actually have gotten rid of.

Honorable mention goes to the non Legends Pacific Rim line of figures. Peruse a NECA thread one day whenever a new one comes out, and you will more than likely find me bitching about it, usually because they tend to break or have some sort of QC issue straight out of the package. And yet, I still continue to buy them because I'm simply a huge fan of the film and the franchise. I'm a sucker.

Well the Jaegers tend to break, the Kaiju don't tend to have enough movement to break. Apparently your ill-fortune with the Jaegers though has balanced as my fortune since the only Jaeger I've had any problems with is Coyote Tango having one of his cannon's not glued on which was easily remedied.
