so from the teaser from hasbro via invisible woman at SDCC .. I was thinking how many wave of the fantastic four should we get including variants, mostly thinking of johnny storm and sue storm. Like we got with the movie wave , invisible woman, a clear female buck,
Johnny Storm that's not on fire
the others you cannot really change but would be a nice way to increase the waves

Personally, I wouldn't care about a non flame Torch. A clear sue might be cool. Or a phasing one. I just don't want multiple waves of that because chances are, I'll want the BAF. I hate having to buy extra figures that I don't want just for BAF parts. I'm trying to cut back on what I buy.

Can't believe I forgot about the Surfer! He's pretty much a given for a F4 wave.

Hmmm, I wonder if Ronan has a better chance in either a F4 or GotG wave???

Hasbro definitely has enough ammunition to crank out a quite a few F4 waves using the different variants of the big 4.

I DO think we will get more F4 figures in the near (2017 or 2018 maybe at latest) but I am strongly suspecting the Invisible Woman will be packed in with all the other random (but excellent!) females shown: Spectrum, Dark Phoenix and Mary Jane Watson, as next years SDCC exclusive - Women Of Marvel. Think about it. It covers all four major pillars of Marvel (Avengers, X-Men, Spider-Man, F4).

I do not have a huge interest in F4, but I also don't dislike them or anything. I have more of an interest in their villains to be honest. We need a good Doom. Kang (I know an Avengers villain but he does appear to be tied up with that whole Fox Property thing, unfortunately), needs a mass release. Attuma (again assuming Namor's corner would be F4 related), The Wizard, a mass release Blastaar, Red Ghost, all of these would be welcome! also Diablo and Mad Thinker. But not Puppet Master. Puppet Master has always freaked me out. He's so damn creepy.

The oddity is the Inhumans and Black Panther. Mostly what appeared in F4 first was considered Fox property, near as I can tell. yet the Inhumans and Black Panther were just that, but are clearly Marvel/Disney MCU properties. Very confusing what was and what was not detailed out. I'd love to know specifics. Maybe it's possible Crystal, who does have even closer ties to F4 than any other Inhuman, might be Fox owned...really just don't know.

Anyways as much as I'm kind of meh on the actual four F4, I am eager for their related characters to make appearances/reappearances.

I wanted to add, just for emphasis, I really wish Kang were part of the MCU. All the others I get and am okay with, but Kang should have been given to MCU. He's arguably their first or second most prominent villain, and I cannot imagine they would not have used him for a movie by now if they could.

Ha! That spoof always cracks me up. It serves as an illustration of just how silly the trend of re-envisioning comic material is; a misguided effort to make sci-fi/fantasy material more palatable to uninitiated "scifi/fantasy" movie-goers (??? aren't they preaching to the choir?)...as if a sentient/nebulous/amorphous space cloud is infinitely more believable than a giant man wearing blue and purple armor...seems like a wash to me, except for the fact that the actual Galactus would've been received much better.

I never bought the Galactus BAF, nor the Marvel Universe redraft. I've had many opportunities to grab them for reasonable and even cheap prices. Obviously, I'm a big fan...maybe too much of one. A properly proportioned Galan would need to be between 6 and 7 feet in height. lol I refuse to buy any of these puny Galactus figs...they just don't do him justice.

As far as what I've left off my FF-related Marvel Legends figure pics list...Strangely, I've never taken a pic of my Warlock (or "Him") fig...you could throw HIM in (pun intended), although he'll likely be added via GotG.

Depends on whether it's MCU or comic canon. I'm not a MCU fan, so I'd argue for an FF line release.

I like the MU line Galactus (I did not put him in my pictures though because I think he was too big for my boxes I have everything else in, and is in a tub already in storage.) I missed out on the BAF Galactus, though I have most of the figures, that is just before I started getting into Legends full-time, but from what I have seen I think i actually prefer the MU line one.

No, he's not to scale, and yes, a too scale one would be at least 4 feet tall if not the 6-7 feet referenced (his size has kind of been variable after all), but I still think it's better than nothing.

Cloud Galactus....o-O. Yeah, that was annoying.

When I think of Galactus' proportions in a classic sense, I don't know of many humans standing at four feet that are capable of completely enveloping a six inch figure (and board) in the palm of one hand....four feet is an improvement, but still too puny. Ha!

While this is all they had today at my local TRU store of the X wave. Im at least happy to see they are now stocking this and the giant man wave. Obviously the entire giant man wave is there of course no nick fury or panther.

Suprizingly one of the sales associates were very friendly and helpful. Told me to come back tommorrow noonish and they should be restocked.

Nice, good luck!

I have to take back my words slightly about Chattanooga stores sucking. The target had the remnants of the X-Men wave (Phoenix and Iceman), so at least I know one case got to this city, at some point.

Hopefully when I go back to Nashville this weekend the stores will be overflowing. I want another Rogue and another Kitty.

Entertainment Earth X-Men preorders look like they've been pushed back to September... getting kinda antsy to get me some mutants, but at the same time, I've not yet seen Wolvie and Wade in the wild, and only saw Rogue once, so I'd rather not have to try and hunt.

I absolutely predicted that Nova would be the hard figure to get in the GotG wave because in my experience his MU 4" figure was super hard to get until they redistributed it. Nova's popularity rocketed up during the course of his DnA run and even the character's death in 2011 didn't affect things much.

Ronan's involvement in the Annihilation stories and just generally being in the DnA cosmic run make including him in a GotG wave possible as just another space guy.

Did we ever do a rundown of our most wanted postSDCC top 10 or whatever? We may have, I missed it, with all that's going on. Maybe some don't do that. I don't know. I know I didn't though so I'm going to now.

1. Selene (will almost certainly never happen but she is my Holy Grail want!)
2 (tie). Justice
2 (tie). Firestar (I really can't decide which I want more and they go together so well.
4. Moonstar
5. Madrox
6. Graviton
7. Count Nefaria
8. Northstar
9. Aurora
10. Snowbird

Runner up for feasible choices if Selene is removed: predictably based on the last part of the list: Shamen.

THis list does take into account Songbird winning the fan poll, which she did. She would have ranked at #6 otherwise.

The rest of the core classic T-Bolts were not very far behind though. Definitely want them all to get made!

edit: edited for stupid typo that totally changes the meaning of my post.

Nope, because I don't want any more SDCC exclusives. If they did away with the damn things, and exclusives in general, I wouldn't shed a tear.

Doh! I was wondering about that reply. It was supposed to be Post SDCC, not Most. I would also definitely prefer for exclusives to just never exist or just be repaints. After four years of buying them and mostly secondary sellers at that, my wallet could use the break.

Sure, but unless Ronan shows up in another GotG flick (which is possible), I think they may have missed that window of opportunity. If Hasbro follows through with a FF line, which I believe they will, they'll be looking to bolster its ranks with characters that make sense and Ronan fits that bill. I don't care that much about 'where' he shows up, as long as he's 'comic canon' and not 'MCU.'

Unless he does show up in a future movie (could happen, maybe) then yes the ship has sailed on Ronan getting an MCU figure and since the character is more known as a Fantastic Four villain he would be likely for a dedicated wave with perhaps a Blastaar BAF as opposed to chucking him into a GotG wave. I would be both confused and upset if they seriously made a movie Ronan over comic Ronan at this point.

I picked up a Wolverine last week for anyone here and no one has claimed it. In fact, I was getting ready to take him back to the store since I'm heading to Target tonight. Do you want me to see if they have Deadpool?
